The guys at custom glaze are all very knowledgeable and helpful. I install the products myself so only use them to supply but repeatedly use them as the product they sell is, as far as I know, the best in the area. Would definitely recommend them and have heard their installers are good too

Good selection and good initial experience, buying doors and windows.
2 of the doors required a disabled access threshold. One was installed in accordance with part M building regs and accessibility guidance but the other was raised up with an inch and a half of mortar "to level the threshold", making the disabled access now a trip hazard. I even had the builders on site who could have helped adjust the underlying brickwork but the installer thought this was a better option. They refuse to come back and rectify this and instead have suggested I purchase extra ramps myself to make up the difference. Now going to another company to rectify the work.

This isn't the first time I've used Cusomglaze. They offer top quality windows at reasonable prices and do an excellent job. I would never consider another company.

Fitted new frame and door efficiently, cleaned up and took old unit away promptly. Friendly crew too. Not my first experience of Custm Glaze as they built us a large conservatory ten years ago, replaced our kitchen and study windows etc Always a quality job

We've used Custom Glaze to install sliding doors across the back.of our house and have just had a new front door fitted. Both times were a really good experience, from discussing our initial requirements through to installation and after care. Would definitely recommend.

The two installers were very polite and set to work with minimal inconvenience to us.

Good product and a competitive price. The two installers, Michael and Bill, worked tirelessly, were very skilled and meticulously cleaned up after themselves.

Great salesman, very clear and not "pushy", surveyor did a great job by appreciating the particular problems with the replacement.

Installation date slipped by a day due to scaffolding tower not being ordered, but baseboard wasn't delivered on that day either, which would have made installation challenging apparently.

Contacting the office was made more difficult as the telephone number on the sales contract and on Google search was the sales direct line. Adding the installation customer service number would be helpful.

Tony the salesman was great, he showed us exactly what Bi folds we wanted. Then the surveyor Kevin was great and then when it came to the fitting of the Bi folds the fitters done a fab job. Thanks all :)

We were very satisfied with the quality of work after a delay starting, from Kevin and scaffolding team to installation and taking down of the scaffolding went smoothly. We did have 2 issues which were sorted in 2 days so its 4 stars from us.

We decided to go with Custom Glaze as we had read a number of highly complimentary reviews about them. They certainly lived up to their reputuation. Dave and Tom were the fitters and they could not have done more to underline the company's standing. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome. Thank you.

Our property has had custom glaze doors, windows and a conservatory supplied by this company and have gone back to them for repeat business. So from a product perspective we are happy with the quality.

However what we are far from happy with is the quality of their after sales service which, to be honest, has been (in our recent experience) abysmal.

Back in February 2022 we suffered damage to our conservatory roof which we got them to quote for the repair of. We paid them half estimated repair cost for the work to be carried out but despite being very quick at taking the money and despite us chasing them we are now in August 2022 and no further forward.

Despite personal promises and reassurances from the managers and directors they have completely ignored (or forgotten) our requests for an update.

Sadly in our case I think we will be chasing for a refund and taking our business elsewhere.

Update 8th September 2022: Very soon after I posted my original review (which I stand by) custom glaze were in regular and frequent contact regarding obtaining the sourcing of the parts to fix the conservatory roof and I am pleased to say at it has literally just been fixed. The guy that came to fix it knew exactly what he was doing and it took probably no more than 20 minutes to sort. In the spirit of compromise I've upgraded the rating to 3 star (I was put under no pressure to do this)

Update 26/10/2022: As agreed the custom glaze fitter arrived on time and complete with the parts and equipment required to complete the repair to the conservatory roof. I seem to recall this took around about 1 hour to do. At the time of writing (30/10/2022) we have not yet had any significant rainfall since the recent repair so don't have any basis to assess if the repair was successful or not. We did a simple hose test and all appears to be OK.

As to whether it is acceptable for a company (of any description) to take 8 months to carry out and complete the repair is subjective and in our opinion it isn't. I do wonder how Custom Glaze would feel if we took 8 months to settle the balance of the bill (we paid the first 50% very promptly)

Unless the remediated section of the roof develops a leak we now regard the matter as closed.

We purchased a door with a side and top panel two and a half years ago, fitting went well. I have now discovered that the hinges are showing signs of corrosion under the lacquer, this is a manufacturing problem. Contacted the service department to be told that door furniture has a one year warranty so it will cost £350 to get them replaced. The selection of the hinges was by Customglaze, who appear to want to walk away from the problem. Not good.

Extremely pleased with my new extension. The builders were so clean and tidy and the fitters too. Great job will recommend.

Door Installation : Process to order in August and ready to install by December as asked for and planned. Appointment in December cancelled once, then twice. Third time installers turned up to say that wrong colour frame had been ordered and therefore it will have to go back and order new frame. This took another 6 weeks to arrive at their workshop. Appointment once again cancelled (I realise we are in Covid times but...) and not told on the day to my son who was waiting until he phoned and was told it would not take place that day. Poor communication. Finally in February installer turned up with the frame but no door. He thought it was only the frame install. He returned later in day with door and installed. Once installed we realised it was not the style of door that we had ordered. Where was the quality control checking as promised by the manager when the frame was wrong? I changed the lock on the door to a smart lock installed by my locksmith who immediately said it was the worse fitting of a door he had seen for a long time. He adjusted the door himself so it closed properly.

Time passed nearly 2 months and a couple of further attempts to rectify the door style failed. Eventually Custom Glaze decided to order another door to what we had ordered and installed at long last the correct door as we had originally ordered in August 21.

This has been stressful from start to finish and customer service has been very poorly handled as soon as problems were spotted. I heard excuses on their suppliers but that's not good enough when you expect a level of service that they have dropped below.

Interesting to see comments over the past 18 months have generally been negative; management need to address the customer service, supplies, quality control and installers (certainly my 1st installer).

Its a shame as they are a local company that I have used before for my windows a few years ago and that was great, but their standards have dropped significantly and management need to review the set up otherwise customers like me will not return and would not on current form recommend.

I gave 2 stars not 1 as eventually they did get the right door installed on my house.

We were very disappointed with the after care of this company when damage was caused to the property during a door fitting. The door fitters left dents in the wall, attempted to fill them with white sealant which was not the correct filler to use and then left without explaining to my 86 year old mother. The company also failed to explain to my mum that she should have taken the house alarm down before the fitting and proceeded to crack a part when refining it back to the door. (Read the small print) We were very fair in our dealings with the company but were left very frustrated and disappointed with a very unsatisfactory response from them.

I just had my windows, front and patio doors fitted by Custom Glaze. From the very first visit for a quotation, through to completion of the job I have been pleased with my experiences with the company.
I was informed at the time of the initial survey and quotation by the salesman that things were taking longer than normal at the moment and would probably be about 12 weeks from order to installation (which turned out to be about right) so they were upfront at the start with the expected timescales.
The salesman was friendly and not pushy which I was very grateful for.

I received a competitive quote, proceeded with the order and true to their word I was kept informed of when I would get a final survey prior to installation.

Installation was carried out quickly and efficiently by a friendly team who caused minimal disruption.

I must admit there was a problem with the glass in my patio door however there were no problems having this rectified and it took about 2 weeks for new glass to be ordered and fitted so the job has been completed to my satisfaction.
Really pleased and the windows and doors have made a huge difference to the look of my house
I would use custom glaze again.
