We always do our best to provide the great service our clients are accustomed to, so thank you for that.
As soon as we were notified that there was a problem with the balloons, a full refund was issued and the faulty batch of balloons have also been withdrawn from our Shop.
I can only apologise that on this occasion we had a faulty batch of balloons.

This has helped us develop our activities programme to make it much more person centred. The resources available to our activity co ordinator are amazing and have enabled her to "think outside the box.

We receive the Daily Sparkle every…
We receive the Daily Sparkle every Monday for the full week. We print it out every day for our activity coordinators and staff to read and share with our Residents.
The Residents love the paper as do all the staff.

Activities co-ordinator course was…
Activities co-ordinator course was enjoyed by a new team member. This gave a good foundation on which to build and highlighted some key areas/topics that will certainly be of benefit to our care home.

My Daily Sparkle Training Review
Thank you to Helen for making the training as interactive as possible given the limitations of Zoom.
The training answered my expectations with regard to techniques and strategies to make activities for the residents more purposeful and meaningful. There are many useful points, and I would like to name a few.
Firstly, I liked the profiling using the first person because it makes it highly person-centered.
Secondly, incorporating the Matrix Approach into our planning will make our activities more resident-centered and will help us balance our activities considering levels of dementia, variety and appropriateness.
Another plus for me is the Evaluation part that is comprehensive and CQC-friendly. Although the PCS system that we use at Queensmead enables us to record attendance, duration, participation and level of engagement, there are certain aspects from the training that would be useful if included in the PCS, like a specific icon for one-to-ones and a space to write impact statements.
Our residents enjoy the Daily Sparkle newsletter and applying what I have learned from the training will enhance the benefits that Daily Sparkle offers to our residents.
All in all, I really enjoyed the training and kudos to Helen for conducting it in a friendly manner.

A very useful training lots to take on…
A very useful training lots to take on board and think about when preparing for activities and also very person centered. Useful tips on record keeping. Good to have the power point handouts after the course for future reference. All helps with confidence to enhance the daily life of our clients. Thank you.

I have to say the course was really good , full of great information and great ideas , it was lovely to hear others ideas too and experiences .everyone on the course were so nice and made us feel so welcome . At no point did you ever feel that the questions you may ask are silly or pointless .This course is very worth while doing .
