Original designed cafeteria is better than this product. Too expensive and inconvenient.
After reading an article that I found on Google called coffee blog, I decided to buy one of these cafetière’s. I wish I’d never read the blog, these things are a complete faff. My advice would be stick to a regular coffee press, these are overcomplicated and achieve very little and they’re not exactly cheap.
They don’t compress the coffee grounds. All they do is push them together to make it supposedly a little easier to dispose of the used coffee grounds but in reality, all it’s caused me in the past is more of a mess when the bottom filter just falls out.
I’m adding to this review as of the 21st of September.
I’ve been in communication with a lady who I guess is one of the owners of this company and she seems quite disgruntled by my review, which I’m entitled to leave an honest review, as to how I found their product.
Given that sometimes is now passed and I’ve used the product even more. I’m going to reduce my rating to only one star because to be honest, the product is even worse than I originally thought. As I said previously I don’t find that their design makes it more convenient for disposing of the waste, I think it just creates potentially more mess and tries to solve a problem that was never really there in the first place, but on top of that the design leaves a void at the bottom of the jug, below the two filters so therefore when you actually pour the coffee out, the coffee that’s in this void has to then pass back through two filters otherwise you’re wasting quite a lot of coffee. you stand there like an idiot waiting for this to come through and overall this is just a poor designed product and if it was any good it will be on the shelves of retailers that would’ve picked up on this product by their buyers.
