Went to DID near Lucan to see if they stocked a battery for a very old flip-phone. I wasn't in the least surprised that they didn't. However, Daniel gave me solid advice on websites to check and more importantly on the pitfalls of trying to source the specific model required.

I also needed to replace my current android phone with a newer Honor model. Daniel actively listened to my requirements, checked their stock and showed me the 3 models he had available. He did not try to sell me the most expensive one - rightly sussing out that the mid-range one would be way more than adequate for my needs. I went ahead anyway and instead bought based on the highest amount of on-board storage capacity. He then took great care to fit a screen protector and emphasised the level of warranty with it.

I enquired about fitness gadgets to help improve my leg muscle tone. While DID don't stock these, he looked up a place he could recommend that does. As a btw and based on his own background,, suggested to maybe start by checking out thera-bands (I'm a "veteran" OAP!).

That was a Eureka-moment for me - I have meters of every type of thera-band in a box in my attic. And the reality is most "gadgets" end up in the back of a press.

In between all this, he dealt with other customers and colleagues without missing a beat. Throughout, I felt that my needs were his top priority.

In summary, I don't "do effusive" - but DID Lucan are very fortunate to have Daniel on their team.
