Extremely Negative !!! MyCommerce Digital River

I want to warn everyone who is considering working with MyCommerce Digital River, a company based in the USA with offices in Europe, including Germany. Since the summer of 2024, serious issues have arisen, and the situation continues to deteriorate month by month.

The company fails to pay authors their earnings, which often amount to tens of thousands of euros or dollars. Personally, they owe me around €2,000 for the past six months, but they have yet to pay me a single cent. Numerous attempts to resolve this have led nowhere — only empty promises and endless delays.

As others have already mentioned in their reviews, the company forces authors to use so-called "support portals" to communicate with their staff. However, these so-called "staff members" are most likely automated bots, not real people. Their responses are meaningless, unhelpful, and provide no resolution. The entire process is intentionally dragged out for 1–2 months, during which authors are forced to pay €1,000–€1,500 for supposed "assistance."

I have worked with this company for over 15 years, but I absolutely cannot recommend them anymore. They are rapidly heading toward bankruptcy, firing many skilled employees, and their current practices are outright theft.

MyCommerce Digital River:
- Steals money from authors.
- Fails to assist customers with even the simplest issues.
- Pretends to offer support - while charging outrageous fees for useless services.
- Completely disregards their partners and contributors.

This company can no longer be trusted. If you value your money, time, and reputation, do not registerwith them or engage in any business. They are dishonest, steal money, and are driving their operations into the ground. Save yourself the frustration and stay far away from MyCommerce Digital River.

SCAM/FRAUD

I am glad I did not transfer any money to my account because it seems like DR tried to charge me even though I cancelled my subscription a month before the trial ended. Now I am blocking them forever and ever. (I used avast, now I’m uninstalling it)

Edit: I have only used a credit card; I have not even used PayPal. They are now attempting to use PayPal to charge me money. The ultimate thieves. All of them ought to be in jail.

DR is a fraud.
I have paid to OptionNetExplorer ("ONE") using digital river("DR"), but the vendor - ONE in this case - reported after 3 months that they have not received payment. While ONE is equally responsible to tell me this after 3 months and not tell me immediately after my credit card was charged on 13th Aug 2024, DR plainly refuses to make any refunds. I am part of a community where several dozen people have been defrauded by DR in similar way.

Failure to pay revenues

Like many others, we are not being paid what we are due. Since July they have been stringing us along and not paying us. They haven't responded to our legal demand letter either.

Ho ricevuto un addebito di euro 72,99 su carta di credito per qualcosa di cui non so cosa trattasi. Contatti con Digital anche solo per saper il motivo inesistenti. Non figurerei come cliente dal loro sito. Kafkiano. Spero di risolvere per il futuro ma dubito.

Wasted my money on Digital River order

Problems trying to cancel recurring payment

EDIT (1 March 2024): I just noticed Digital River's reply. They said: "For your speediest path to resolution, we'd recommend contacting the brand's customer support team directly." They completely missed the point! *I was trying to find the brand (company)!* I cannot contact the brand (company) if I don't know who they are. Yes, I know, I should keep track of what I'm paying for if the company uses Digital River as their payment processor. But I am one of millions of customers who don't always keep such meticulous records and who would like the payment processor (Digital River) to help us connect an automatic payment with the company and product. It seems that such help is not a priority for Digital River. [End of edit.]

ORIGINAL REVIEW
I want to cancel an automatic recurring payment. Here are the problems:

(1) On Digital River's "Find My Order" website, your first option is to enter your email address and the last four digits of the credit card you used to pay for the product. I paid via PayPal. There is no option for PayPal.

(2) The next option is to enter your Order Number and Password. I triple checked the Order Number from the email and from the invoice I received from Digital River when I purchased the digital product. I triple-checked the Password (I use a password manager, and I was able to login using the password the same day, so I know I had the correct password.)

(3) I also tried Digital River's "My Commerce solution" which is apparently the same company with a different name. It uses a similar web form, but with only one option (email and last 4 digits of credit card number). It did not work.

(4) I finally went to their "customer service" web page where I encountered one of those lovely forced-choice forms. None of the various options worked, so I had to pick a "reason" for my support request that was not actually the reason.

Ik heb op 31 december 2022. Een tablet bij Lenovo besteld. Ik heb op verzoek van Lenovo de tablet aan de deur geweigerd. En is retour afzender gestuurd. En zij hebben de tablet ook retour ontvangen. Echter is de tablet weer naar een ander adres gestuurd. En ze zijn vergeten om hem als retour ontvangen in het systeem te zetten. Ik krijg dus geen terugbetaling ik heb van de 220,00 euro slechts 1,00 euro retour ontvangen. Doe alsjeblieft geen zaken met dit bedrijf. Er is inmiddels politie aangifte gedaan en ook de autoriteit consument en Markt is op de hoogte gesteld. Het bedrijf zou in Nederland verboden moeten worden.

I downloaded a program this morning…

I downloaded a program this morning thinking it was for downloading music, as the the program charged a total of 95 dollars, but that was not what it turned out to be, I was unable to convince them to refund my money, so beware any program that displays the term Digital River, they are thieves and very deceptive. I had a printout with every necessary piece of info needed to verify my purchase, but nothing was ever good enough for them, but the Better Business Bureau come Monday, and perhaps we disgruntled victims can start a class action lawsuit to force them to give us all refunds.

Hoy abro mi correo y me encuentro con la novedad de que me han cobrado de mi cuenta PayPal $199 de una suscripción de DIGITAL RIVER IRLAND, cosa que yo nunca autoricé o recuerdo haberlo hecho. Favor solicito me ayuden con la devolución del mismo. Mi correo es: osfer21 @ gmail.com

Gracias por contactarnos. Digital River permite transacciones de comercio electrónico en nombre de marcas globales, incluidas aquellas que venden suscripciones. Es posible que tengas una suscripción recurrente y esa marca te esté cobrando. Debería haber recibido alguna notificación antes del cargo en su cuenta de PayPal. A veces, las notificaciones van a los filtros de spam o a los buzones de correo no deseado. Si no puede encontrar una notificación por correo electrónico, hágamelo saber. Deberíamos poder averiguar qué marca inició el cargo y para qué producto con su información de contacto.

Grafikkarte bestellt bei im amd shop betrieben von DIGITAL Rivers

Produkt im amd Shop gekauft dessen authorisierter Händler die DIGITAL RIVERS Ireland ist. Wenn ich einen Artikel kaufe erwarte sich nach einer Woche zumindest das der Status der Bestellung ändert oder darauf hingewiesen wird das durch einen Fehler die KArten zur Zeit doch nicht vorhanden sind?! Was natürlich nicht stimmt das die Karten immer noch bestellt werden können. Zudem wurde die Rechnung vom USA Standort ausgestellt was dem entsprechend Probleme beim Zoll machen wird wenn der Artikel von den USA geliefert wird und nicht wie im Shop steht Standort Irland der Händler ist. Viel schlimmer ist das man die Bestellung weder bei AMD noch bei DIGITAL Rivers stornieren kann weil rein zufällig das Formular zur Stonierung des Artikel mit einer nicht funktionierenden Weiterleitung quittiert wird. Sehr undurchsichtlich der Dienstleister.

Unglaublich wie ein Weltkonzern wie AMD mit DIGITAL Rivers als Dienstleister arbeiten kann und das man sich jetzt auch noch den autorisierten Händler vorher anschauen muss bevor man den Bestellbutton drückt....die Bewertungen hier sagen ja alles.

Mir wurde geraten, dass Sie sich direkt an AMD wenden sollten, um dort zu fragen, von wo Ihre Bestellung versendet wird.
