For any team considering DocuSeal as infrastructure: you can lose the account overnight, with no explanation and no recourse.

I am a politically exposed person, and clearly, if your views don't align with those of DocuSeal's founders, you can be certain your account will be shut down.

We opened an account, spent 48+ hours integrating their API into our workflow, and then received an unsolicited refund and an outright ban. No warning, no email, no chance to address anything. We tried again with a second account. Same outcome.

The only answer support gave us: the "compliance team" made the decision, it is "impossible to share the reason," and the decision is "final." No facts, no right of reply, no appeal process.

You have two options.
Option 1
Use the free online account, which is obviously limited, but it’s still for free.
Option 2
Host it your self, install via docker, and create a funnel.
Unlimited signing.

It’s worth putting the effort into self hosting.

Honestly, there are no better options available for free.

I was genuinely excited to discover DocuSeal. It’s not often you come across a platform that offers such a generous free plan—10 signature requests per month is more than enough for small teams or growing businesses to get real value without immediate pressure to upgrade.

It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the experience simple without sacrificing functionality. For anyone looking for a reliable and straightforward e-signature solution, DocuSeal is definitely worth checking out.

For now, it feels like a perfect match for small companies like ours. We were looking for a free or inexpensive solution for online document signing. Docusign is impressive until now. We can easily upload agreements and appendices, send emails, notifications, logs, etc. Very impressive.
