Dog Food Advisor is a trusted site for up to date information. They have a veterinary nutritionist advisor to back up the research, and advice, they provide! I've been impressed with the site since the changes in ownership that occurred two years ago.

Dog Food Advisor never disappoints with its latest, accurate, and helpful reviews and other information.

Dog Food Advisor along with Whole Dog Journal are my go-to sites to assess the best food for each of my litters of puppies. I look at recalls, protein levels, probiotics in food among other things. I am always looking for a whole grain high quality food to send home with my families. I trust Dog Food Advisor to give me accurate and timely information. Thank you!

I have been following Dog Food Advisor for many years. Probably over 10…it all started with a now geriatric Boston terrier with pancreatitis. We had to find the purest form of kibble we could afford. Ten years ago dog food was a different world than today! We still count on Advisor for changes and add ons. It is a reliable source of info to filter out some of the rubbish.

I trust these folks. I don't buy any dog food without checking this site. My dogs are thriving.

I started using Dog Food Advisor when I moved out to go to college and got my first dog to try to find a brand of dog food that hadn't had any recent recalls or problematic history with their product. 12 years later, my (now senior) pup is doing great. While I no longer need to use the site to find the right dog food (we're well past that now), I do stay subscribed to their recall notification emails which sends an email alert when a dog food brand is recalling products due to health or other safety concerns. The notifications alone are worth it, as there have been many "healthy" and "holistic" (and whatever other crunchy mom adjective you can think of) brands that have had major recalls and nowhere other than the email sent to me by the Dog Food Advisor do I find out about them. I genuinely feel like this site has helped me raise my dog as best I can, and for that, I'm extremely grateful.

This site has been an invaluable tool to help us on our journey to give our pups their best life. We found it when we got our first pup and it was helpful in showing ingredient lists of different foods. When we got a dog with special dietary needs it became the first place we stopped to compare foods our vet recommended. As with my own health I don't just rely on one website but a few I trust to gather as much information as possible. This was one of those places for our pets. They also were the first to alert us a few years ago to the potential problem of pea proteins in dog food. Which led to finding out our dog was allergic to peas! Dog food advisor can sometimes be a little clunky to use, but the alerts it sends are timely, for me it was easy to find the information I needed and then speak to my vet about it.

Very thorough and science-backed information. Extremely grateful for their product recall emails; I'm certain it saves animal lives!

Years ago when I was raising boxers I was having issues with several of my highly health tested dogs. Two were having heart issues and come to find out back then there was a problem with food. I found out through the guidelines of the Dog Food Advisor. This was not the last time a warning came in time telling me of recalls a few years later another dog food recalled the can food that I was mixing into one of my elderly dogs food. Thank goodness for this wonderful company and the wonderful things they do for our pets.

Been using The Dog Food Advisor site for a while now. With all the information out there when it comes to dog food and having two Golden Retrievers that I want to provide the best food possible, I know with all my heart that I can trust the information the Dog Food Advisor provides. I absolutely love receiving emails knowing they do the right research for quality food and provide information on recalls.

I have used Dog Food Advisor for years to help narrow down possible dog food choices for my dog with pancreatitis. The site has been very helpful in identifying low fat foods.

I found Dog Food Advisor to be reliable and dedicated to our dog's health. They alert to brand re-calls that would otherwise run under the radar. Personally I found them reliable.

Trustworthy site with really helpful information compiled with help from veterinary professionals. I've been using them for years to check quality of foods to try for my dogs. Info is accurate and well researched. In addition their recall notifications are much appreciated. Note that the site got new ownership a couple years ago and continues to improve

Dog Food Advisor is a site I look to stay up to date on tips for my dog’s health and well being, but it is not a replacement for any decisions or advice my veterinarian gives me.
I have read every post since we adopted our current adult dog, three years ago after DFA was referred to me by a friend and fellow dog owner. I value the fact that DFA is independent and not beholden to a manufacturer or corporate entity. They give solid advice on food, behavior and animal health without pitching or steering me somewhere I don’t want to go.Their referrals can be useful when I wish to follow up.

I've used dogfoodadvisor for several years to get an honest review of dog food. I use their recommendations when choosing what I feed my 2 dogs. I also subscribe to the newsletter. It keeps me informed when there are deals like the $30 from chewy or other discounts on other sites. I belive it is one of or even the best place to go for dog food reviews
