The whole experience was excellent
As I was travelling a long way to view 2 dogs arrangements were made for me to see both on one day everyone went out of their way to accommodate this
Hand over was amazing and the follow up has already started amazing job everyone is doing it’s certainly will be my go to for future adoptions and I would and will recommend them

From applying to adopt to bringing our new family member home was seamless.
We were given plenty of information both from the centre staff and the Foster carers on the dogs personality, likes, dislikes etc.
Had ample opportunity to get to know our new friend both with staff and alone so when we all came home it was an easy transition.
Cannot thank the staff and volunteers enough.

From our first enquiry through to collection and even after bringing our girl home, everyone we spoke to at Dogs Trust has been wonderful! We were thrilled to be chosen for Jess, a 7 year old boxer, and she is settling in well. Thank you for all you do to help dogs, it really is amazing.

The adoption process has been easy and quick. The report from the member of staff who fostered Sonny for a few days was excellent and helpful in choosing him as the one for me. He has been as described.

The Dogs Trust found us the perfect match with Badger and we couldn’t be any happier with our new addition to our family. Badger’s needs are perfectly suited to our needs and he has settled in beautifully! All of this is thanks to the staff at Dogs Trust.

We adopted Bella from West Calder the young lady Elizabeth was a star from start to finish explaining everything in detail. Alistair brought Bella to meet us at our home very knowledgeable,we now have Bella at home I can't fault the service we had from the staff at dogs trust a big thankyou from us both.

Very helpful and kind staff throughout the adoption process. Nothing was too much trouble. They even done my boy’s measurements for the correct equipment he would need. I adopted a Greyhound and we are on day two. He is the perfect match for my house and lifestyle!

Dogs trust are amazing, we adopted our dog from there and they have been so supportive

We adopted through Dogs Trust Cardiff and could not fault the experience. The staff were helpful, friendly and did everything they could to assist us through the process. The team do a great job in helping dogs in need of a new home and the dog behavioural helpline is free for the dog’s lifetime in case you need it. We was really impressed and our lovely dog is settling in nicely.

Overall we loved adopting from Dogs Trust and would consider doing so again. When looking for a dog we visited several different centers and had mixed experiences. We felt that some centers didn't want to take the time to listen to what we could offer and had a specific type of lifestyle in mind. I think that more dogs may find good homes if you were a bit more open minded.

I found the staff at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury to be very caring with the dogs. I saw Sunny online and I applied and met her a few times. Everything was explained to me and I felt supported through the adoption.

Helpful and good communication

I don’t even know where to start my experience was that awful… I was basically pushed out of a volunteering role at the Cardiff Centre last year. This was dealt with, but I was advised to wait some time to re-apply to volunteer, as improvements needed to be made. The improvements were scheduled to be in place for September 2026. The centre did a massive call for volunteers at the end of 2025, having not made any of them changes, which is concerning in itself. On enquiring whether it was time to re-apply, as new roles were already open, I was victimized by the Cardiff team for having complained in the first place. After speaking to senior management for Dogs Trust overall, I have agreed that me not volunteering there with the current staff team is best for my safeguarding. I was told by Dogs Trust senior management that I am however within my rights to take legal action. The time frame for the Cardiff team to rectify victimising me before legal action has passed and I have had no apology. I don’t see why I should have to spend any money legally to get at least the apology I well and truly deserve from the Dogs Trust Cardiff Staff team! Please don’t put yourselves through volunteering here! I’m not hiding the fact they never followed fire safety procedures either, such a shame! Although an outcome was provided, the Cardiff Team have decided not to apologise!

You must be one of the most disorganised Dog Rescue organisations
In the UK! Those poor dogs missing out due to your utter mismanagement.

One of your hopeless staff called me on Tuesday about a Cano Corsa called SANTANA. She told me the dog was not yet up on your website so I asked her to send me some photos. They never arrived.
I went into your site as soon as my call with your colleague ended and low and behold there was SANTANA ‼️

Your colleague arranged to have a WhatsApp FaceTime call with me today at 2pm.

It’s now 4pm and I haven’t heard a word. I am no longer interested in dealing with Dogs Trust and will share my experience on Trust Pilot and all social media.

The care and support given by the team throughout the adoption process was amazing.

From the very start of my journey through to the finish, everything was made so easy. The staff were always friendly, supportive, and happy to help. Once you’ve collected your companion, Dogs Trust continue to offer excellent support—they check in after a couple of days to see how things are going and follow up again a few weeks later. It really shows how much they care about both you and your new dog.

Excellent all round, extremely helpful staff and we found the perfect dog for us. Thank you so much.
