Disappointed Customer

DK delivered the dress I ordered by FedEx to an incorrect address• I had to call to let them know it was never delivered. They said that FedEx had not left them a picture so most likely they could send another dress but first it had to go to administration and could take up to 5 days for a decision. Really? Seriously in these days of customer service they have none. So I waited and never received any communications so I called back. The person with whom I spoke too reviewed my file and said she would send out the replacement dress right away. Ok, but 5 days later now when received the price of the dress was reduced $35 dollars. I called back to request a refund of the price from $113 when I originally ordered. Now to $75 and they said I was outside the window of 14 days to request the lower price. Again, what customer service world are they living in? Guess who will never purchase from them again? Seriously antiquated rules and procedures. Unhappy customer when they should of been doing a version of really sorry, my bad, let us make it right for all of the inconvenience and give you the lower price listed on the actual day you received the dress. This makes the most sense to me!

BUYER BEWARE

I purchased a suit from Donna Karan in February. It is now the 12th May. No sign of the suit. I emailed DKNY twice and never got a reply, nothing, no suit, no customer service. I have purchased clothing online from a number of brands and have never had problem if so it was remedied quickly. My recommendation is BUYER BEWARE. I had to give one star to gain access to be able to leave a this review. My bank are now handling the dispute for me. Donna Karan owes me $600.00 quite a lot so Im not giving up until I get my money back. this company is only interested in taking your money and will not guarantee you receive your garment. BUYER BEWARE!

They ship like Temu or Amazon

The dress I ordered was expensive and it arrived in a plastic bag in an envelope. It was like a dress ordered from Amazon not packaged in a box as most designers ship. My teenaged daughter took the dress for prom, but I will never shop with Donna Karan again.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service, and unfortunately, the quality seems to have declined. A size S should be a true size S—labeling what feels like a size L as a size S doesn’t help anyone.

Additionally, I received an incorrect refund, and no one was willing to assist in resolving the issue. Based on this experience, I don’t feel confident purchasing again, as I no longer trust the brand or the overall customer experience.

DonnaKaran mailed me a tottaly wrong product. After calling them twice since the email was never answered; I need to take the wrong item to Fedex and wait for 10 business day to have my refund back. If I'd like to receive the right one, I will need to buy again. It's completely ridiculous, I won't buy from them again.

Avoid this brand

Avoid this brand. They use "welcome discounts" as bait to harvest your data, but the codes don't work and they refuse to honor them. After weeks of being ignored, a "supervisor" named Rebecca promised a 20% discount and a scheduled callback to resolve the issue. She never called, never answered basic questions about UK import duties, and has gone completely silent.

It is clear Donna Karan has zero respect for UK consumers. I have withdrawn my interest and am reporting their UK registered entity to Trading Standards for misleading commercial practices. A premium brand with "basement" level integrity. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

Terrible customer experience and service

I am beyond frustrated with this experience. I ordered two dresses and a purse for an upcoming event, paying extra for rush two-day shipping since time was critical. What arrived was one dress and the purse that was supposed to match the OTHER dress - completely useless to me.
When I hadn’t heard anything about the second dress, I had to reach out to customer support myself to find out what happened. That’s when they casually informed me it had been canceled due to lack of inventory. How does a professional retailer let customers order and pay for items they don’t even have in stock? Any reasonable store should know their inventory before taking orders and rush shipping fees.
What really pushed this over the edge was the complete lack of care from customer service. When I explained that my event was now only two days away, I got nothing but “Is there anything else I can help with?” No offer to waive the rush shipping fee I paid for service they didn’t deliver. No attempt to rush an alternative dress. Just complete indifference.
I’m now scrambling to find something to wear with no time left, out the rush shipping money, and stuck with mismatched items I can’t use. Do not order from Donna Karan if you need something by a specific date - or honestly, at all based on this experience.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I ordered a dress

I ordered a dress, it arrived after 10 days and it ran too big. I sent it back over a month ago and I’m still waiting on my refund. I sent 3 emails, no replies. I called customer service and they said there had been a mistake and I should receive it with in 3 to 5 days. It’s been 6 days now and I still don’t have my $300. I will never ever order from them again.

Something fishy is going on

I placed an order but did not immediately receive a confirmation e-mail. Later that day, I received an odd e-mail with an attachment and was notified that the payment processor was down. I was instructed to use their “secure” payment process which seemed to be PayPal, and was offered a 15% discount. Nothing seemed as though it came from a legitimate company. I used the “chat” feature to contact the company, where I was told there was nothing wrong with my order, and to please forward the e-mail I received to customer service - there would be an investigation. The e-mail I received did not come from a Donna Karan e-mail address. I also received a voicemail that was identical to the e-mail I received. The more I thought about it, the more concerned I became so I called customer service. That’s where things started to unravel. The representative had an attitude of indifference. I called the next day and the same guy answered…hmm…what are the chances? He mustered up even more indifference. I was telling him that someone essentially intercepted my order and had all of my personal information, which they have a responsibility to protect, and he didn’t say much. Immediately following the call, I again received an e-mail offering a 15% discount. Something very very odd is going on there. I have since sent three e-mails asking about the “investigation” and have heard nothing but crickets. I wanted to write a letter, but there is some lack of clarity around the address for headquarters in New York. I don’t want to send a letter and have it fall into the wrong hands and be thrown away. I will not let this go - there have to be others experiencing this. They either don’t care or something is very fishy.

I ordered the same sweater 3 times. After 2 months of asking where my order was, I received an email that I had returned the sweater and I was getting a refund. I had never received the item.
I reordered the same item when it came back on their website and low and behold I had to ask for a refund again after 2 months.
Okay I may be silly but when is saw it advertised again, I ordered it again and again had to contact them re the order. I just got an email that my money was refunded without any consultation or explanation. They don't even deserve one star. Don't trust their online order. they are pathetic

This company,Donna Karen, should be put out of business.
I ordered a suede trench coat for $846 on Oct.6 (2025) standard shipping 5-7 business days.On the 10th I had not gotten notice of a shipping notice so I called customer service.I was told it was getting ready to ship.I would get a notice that later that day.Didn't happen.
I again called customer service on the 11th.Same answer.
I called on the 14th.Same answer but being insistent I got a Fed Ex shipping number for the coat.I looked up the number which only shows a label was created on the 7th.
I called again on the 15th.I was insistent on a resolution. I was told it was being escalated to supervisor and management.I would be called later that day.No call .I called again on the 16th.I relayed all this to the customer service rep.I was put off and. told a supervisor would call.With that I said tell the Supervisor either overnight my coat to me if it actually exist or issue a refund.
Of course neither happened.
Tomorrow will be 2 weeks.No shipping date,no word from the company.
I did contact my credit card company to start the process of a claim for a charge back.
Donna Karan has my money ,I have no coat,and frankly they don't care..Terrible cutomer service.Not a 1 rating ,a 0 !

If you are looking for clothing online…

If you are looking for clothing online from Donna Karen, don't plan on anything in the next couple of weeks. My order was placed over a week ago- for the past 3 days sitting in "ready status" and yet they can't get it to FedEx. The escalation process is up to 5 days!

Extremely poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. I wanted to exchange a dress I bought for my mom because it was too big. Apparently you cannot exchange dresses. You can only return them and buy a new one. I had to call them 2-3 times a week for over a month to request a return label. After waiting for so long, they didn't even give me a proper response.
Please avoid!!!

The delivery took far too long.

The delivery took far, far longer than the duration cited on the email. The contact then via webchat & email when I queried the delay was very poor. If you need something within a particular timeframe add on an additional month / 6 weeks for delivery.

Spectacularly horrendous customer service

They sent the dress that I ordered on fast ship to the wrong address, wouldn't do anything about it, it was too late for the wedding. I finally got the dress five to six days late. It was horrendous as well. So I called to return it. They sent me a label that didn't work but said that I couldn't return it since I disputed it on my credit card since it was more than $400 and hadn't arrived. So then they wouldn't let me return it. Now I'm being told that it's outside of the 30-day window! Not one of the five emails I wrote was returned with a reply. And I've had to call them repeatedly. Don't buy from them. Please don't support this kind of horrible service. They clearly don't care about the customer. I won't buy them in other
stores anymore either.

I have bought many Donna Karan dresses. I feel like I got what I expected. I might have the right style to wear Donna Karan clothes, because people say that I look good in them.
My main complaints are about being inconsistent in their sizing, sometimes the same size is far too large for me, sometimes it is too small.
Things end up taking a long time to deliver.
If I went to a store, I would not have these problems, it doesn't seem to be the best company for online shopping.
