Keep billing after cancellation.

Bank are now investigating these charliatans.

Fraudulent Charge

I had a charge on my debit card for $29.99 from this company. I have never heard of them and, before now, have never even visited their website. I have called and left a message and sent 2 emails. They won't contact me back. How do they get away with this, just randomly charging someone's card? I want my money back.

BEWARE SCAM

I believed I was signing up for a 10 day free trial. They charged me $29.99 immediately afterwards. I never could get the card to create. This is indeed a scam!! In order to cancel the Subscription that I did NOT sign up for, they automatically want to change my email from Google to Outlook. SCAMMM!!!!!

STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY! This company keeps charging us. My husband did the free trial and sent one card. He canceled BEFORE the end of the trial however they still charged us $40! My husband then called and requested to cancel the subscription that we did not want or sign up for in the first place. We thought this was all taken care of and then a year later, they charged us AGAIN! Another $40! We are now disputing the charge with our bank! Only giving 1 star so I can actually post this. Otherwise it would be 0.

That does sound disconcerting for sure. By our policy, we do not charge until after the Free Trial has expired, if it has not been cancelled. We think what you may have seen is an "Authorization" performed by the banks and CC companies; they "tap" a customer's card to be sure it is not fraudulent. The money goes right back into the customer's account within 24 hours. We never receive any funds at all, until the actual charge 10 days later. That you were able to cancel you account does suggest that you were still in the uncharged trial period, before any membership. However, if you know you were definitely charged the $24 USD, please feel free to contact us about a refund. We can be reached at Support@doozycards.com. We will be happy to help.
UPDATE: We have changed the process we use with banks and this authorization no longer occurs when signing up for a Free Trial.

Really, truly funny card

I needed a really, truly funny card for my super smart grand nephew on his 8th birthday. The frog, belting out happy birthday wishes in the style of James Brown (complete with thick, black wig) was perfect!! VERY funny!

The site is easy to use. The cards are acceptable but nothing great or exciting. It needs better artists and more diversified themes.

I COULD NOT EVEN SEND A CARD. I TRIED 3 X AND EACH TIME AN ERROR MESSAGE POPPED UP TELLING ME THAT I NEEDED TO PROVIDE A RECIPIENT ADDRESS, WHICH I DID EVERY TIME, EVEN ADDING IT TO THE ADDRESS BOOK. NEVER WORKED. BAD SOFTWARE

Dear Susan, we checked with our Support staff with whom you emailed this morning. As they pointed out, there has been no charge. A Free Trial was signed up for which causes the Credit Card companies to perform what is called an authorization. They tap the card and/or bank account for a nominal amount which is then returned into the account once they have determined the account is not fraudulent. Our support staff will cancel your free trial for you so that no charge or membership will be possible at the end of the trial period. They will send you a confirmation email once this is done.

I found the perfect card here on the night before the anniversary, but could not complete the process to send it. I emailed an urgent message, never expecting to get a response within 12-14 hours (and then it would be too late to send a card). Amazingly, in the morning hours I received an answer that guided me through the process I had missed in setting up the account for this site. The card which was perfect for this occasion was completed and sent.
This company is wonderful (also because some of what we pay for a card goes to Meals on Wheels). Great. This will be why goto card site from now on.

A very fun app

A very fun app. I was expecting it to be free, but after I had composed a card that I was delighted with and clicked the next step I saw that I needed to input my credit card information etc. It was a bit of bait and switch because you did get it free, but for only 10 days. Who remembers to cancel things? However, I will probably keep it because it seems like a fun and useful product.

The reason we ask for credit card information is because users are signing up for a membership. The membership begins with a 10 Day Free Trial during which all 2,000 of our ecards, all of which we produce ourselves, can be sent for free as often as the member pleases. If the membership is not wanted, cancelling the free trial before the end of the 10th day will close the account with no charge at all. It is entirely in the control of the customer. We have offered our Free Trial for all 18 years in which we have been in business.
