Bad Sale with Problems too soon

I got a car two weeks ago, and was so happy after two years no vehicle well to my surprise I had a difficult situation and my sales person only shown me! one car out of budget and worried me! when another sales Rep shown me two other options that was within my budget but the 1st car was nice seemed legit and fine ( the car I chose) other I caught a brake issue right away! but long story short! After I made purchase it was ok for only one day! for issue after another from Tires, to Check engine light, need mass air flow sensor, new battery (battery light came on 4 days after purchase!! And on top of that a Judder code for spark plug and transmission warning came about thru second diagnostic! I shouldnt of had these problems this soon! I cant tell anybody how upset I am!!! People thoroughly check car and get second opinion before purchase especially from this company! DO NOT TRUST or Rely on these salesman check car want to buy thoroughly! I am very disappointed

Beware

I am currently dealing with Bridgecrest regarding a vehicle repossession, and the lack of transparency and communication has been extremely concerning.

My first payment was less than three weeks late and was later brought current. The delay occurred because the vehicle was unusable due to a serious mechanical issue covered under warranty, which left me without the car for weeks and required me to pay for a rental. Bridgecrest was notified of the situation.

When purchasing the vehicle, I was told by the dealership that it had never been in an accident. However, when the vehicle was inspected by a mechanic due to the mechanical failure, I was advised that there were clear signs of prior accident damage, including aftermarket parts, visible welding, and rust in the engine compartment — issues that should have been apparent during inspection.

Despite the payment being cured and the vehicle being under active warranty repair, the vehicle was repossessed. Since then, I have repeatedly requested a written reinstatement or redemption amount and clarification of my options, but Bridgecrest has not provided clear information in writing and has gone silent for extended periods.

While a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is pending, I received electronic notice that my access to the vehicle was revoked and that the vehicle was moved from its storage location, without any clear notice of sale or disposition being provided.

This situation has left me without transportation despite my efforts to resolve the matter in good faith. I strongly encourage anyone considering financing to carefully review how disputes, repossessions, and vehicles with mechanical or prior damage issues are handled.

Everything is a lie

Everything is a lie. I pacifically told them that I was a young lady that drive far to get to work and that I do not need to be by a car that would break down on me. I bought a car from them 3 months later. I have electric work that need to be done over $2,000. They are liars. They told me that this vehicle was reliable and not only that when they put it up on the machine there was no issues with this vehicle. They told me that I was approved for every car on the lot. They also offered me a way that I can put down money and take $2,000 off. When I got my car and now everything was done. The $2,000 was not taken off. It was added back on with extra fees to get the money in there pockets. I will not recommend drive time to no one

Engine code deleted

It was an easy process but I went to autozone just to double check everything was good with my car and it needs to be serviced. I need new spark plugs and a sensor and my car is only 4 days old. I will be taking it back

The good........The bad........The really bad

The good.....
First I do have to say the staff is incredibly friendly . They made it a simple quick experience. No issues there
The bad.....
I purchased a vehicle the end of September 2024 . Mid to end January 2025 , my vehicle doesn't run .
Inside of four months ownership , the battery went dead . Ok this happens the vehicle is a 2017 with the original battery . I bought a new battery paid for install , disappointing but not the end of the world .
The really bad......
I was sold a vehicle with a bad alternater . Fortunately I did get the warranty , hoping it actually helps me , that remains to be seen . I did use a recommended mechanic through the insurance . Parts are ordered , waiting for them to arrive .
In the meantime I'm without a vehicle and have been for days . EXTREMELY disappointing considering what I'm paying for the vehicle . I've even missed a few days of work due to not having a working vehicle .
Don't call the dealership , no point . Nothing can be done on the dealership level .
I was given what I can only assume is a "customer help"number that was literally no help . I was told "sir it's a used vehicle." I completely understand that but I would expect it to last more than four months .

I have to add this is my second vehicle with drivetime , the first one paid off so I purchased another . With that being said I would think there would be more in place to help me , but sad to say there isn't.

I know this isn't everyone's experience , but this has been mine .
Not here to bash , completely unbiased , just being 100% real .
I'm disappointed. When this vehicle is paid off , I don't think there will be a third

I have had the worst experience with…

I have had the worst experience with drive time I wish I never got a vehicle from Lombard IL location. They lied to me about this vehicle and I’ve had a terrible time since purchasing this vehicle. Check engine light is on continuously something has been wrong with the vehicle since the very first day of me purchasing they are not genuine people and silverock the warranty company PATHETIC. This is a complete rip off I’m seeking legal counsel.

We like Drive Time

All around good people, I have no complaints.
Every aspect of purchasing a vehicle is in our control, this isn't available at a lot of dealerships.

The best way to purchase a vehicle
