Sold me a car that broke with in a year and I’m stuck with it !!! They are a bunch of scammers …. I am screwed out of getting a new car or any car in general . I am so stupid to believe them ! I am disgusted how they do business … A certified car dealership told me that they are a bunch of scammers they don’t inspect the cars they are from an auto auction… and as long as they run they sell them . I am pregnant and now screwed out of getting a car … thanks for ruining everything !

Drivetime was a terrible experience after 3 days of buying the car it was going bad on me cutting on off and when I tried to swap the car they ended up taking the car back from me saying they wasn’t supposed to sell me a car nd took $700 of my down payments they are a big scam I don’t recommend anyone to go to drivetime I hate drivetime and will never ever try buying with them again they don’t deserve any stars

Don’t ever buy a vehicle from DriveTime Car Sales as they do not thoroughly inspect the vehicles they sell. The battery on my son’s car died in 4 months and they say they don’t care.
This company has terrible, terrible customer service and will hang the phone up on you when you call customer service or client relations. They do not inspect their vehicles thoroughly and don’t replace batteries when they obtain used vehicles to resell.

Gave it 2 because the people would nice. But the car suck. I have not had that car for more than 60 days, and i am having issue after issue. Do not EVER GET A CAR FROM THEM. You’re better off going to a real dealership or a side one. Then they won’t fix everything on the car, which I believe within 90 days EVERYTHING should be covered.

I brought a 2018 Jeep Compass on August 24th 2024 and was told everything was good on the
Vehicle (including the battery and alternator). The Vehicle was riding absolutely fine. Exactly a month of having the vehicle the battery died. We didn’t drive the car the day before. The car Has auto lights ( couldn’t have been the lights that drained the battery). We called DriveTime they said THE BATTERY IS NOT COVERED WITH THE WARRANTY. This information was not giving TO US PRIOR TO buying the VEHICLE . DriveTime is supposed to do a full inspection of their vehicles before selling . If they did so this problem would have been avoided.

Very informative salesman (Sam) was very patient with us ..
I went online and did the pre-approval process, 5 minutes it took, then went into the dealership and within an hour signed the documents for the vehicle I wanted.
Although I couldn't get my dream car in which they had, due to a higher down payment, I was impressed by the knowledge of my salesperson and how he provided options to get a reliable vehicle with low miles and a suite of benefits such as vehicle warranty protection, LOJAC, GAP coverage.
I am beyond happy and at this point they have earned the business of me and my family for years to come. The staff were very friendly and everything was completed just the way the website said it would be.
Kudos to the South Chicago evening team. They provided an experience I will never had even when I bought a new vehicle from a big dealer years back. Other dealers need to come and train with the Midlothian team and find out how the customer experience should be.
I was approved and I left the dealership with a car in a short period of time. No strong pressure. Friendly professional staff.
I had bought Chevy Trax 2019 and on the next day the engine light came on. I thought it was going to go off but it didn’t. I took it to Auto Zone to be tested and the code P2099 came up. This code means it needed a turbocharger. This would explain why it wouldn’t go over 30mph and it was jerking. I was very disappointed because the vehicle should have been thoroughly checked before giving it to the customer. I returned it and got something else. I hope I don’t experience any more problems. I would like to be compensated for my time and humiliation.
