My appointment was at 2:00 p.m

My appointment was at 2:00 p.m. I arrived at 11:00 a.m. and they started the process of helping me get into a good vehicle with no complaints about being early. Pete, the salesperson, was patient during the whole process of showing availability of vehicles and while I was applying for car insurance. He was very informative and communicated very well. Overall, I would recommend Drive Time to those who may or may not have bad credit to these dealerships.

The sales representative was not nice…

The sales representative was not nice at all. Short answers to everything as if he didn't want to speak to me even try to argue with me about my pay frequency. Overall not a good experience from that standpoint.The General manager was okay.

My experience at DriveTime was absolutely amazing!!! The process was quick and easy!!! Tex was such a great help, and wonderful to work with!!! I would highly recommend DriveTime to family and friends!!! I LOVE my SUV!!!

Appointments mean nothing

If I set up an appointment at 1:30, why am I having to wait for over 30 minutes when I arrived on time?

Must stop in for a deal.

Go in, got greated by Tex right away. He even offered the snack station. That was a big plus.
Tex helped me all the way through the process. And I absolutely love the Ford Escape I got!
Will definitely be referring and going back.

I had an appt

I had an appt. At 11:00. I was on time. No one came to greet me right away. I told them the car I wanted. While I was there someone else wanted the same car. I was there
First. I talked to the salesperson asked for a test drive. He told me I had to wait until I sat a desk to talk to someone. 1 1/2 hors later still waiting. I informed them I had to work at 2:00. They waited on the people that came after me first the sales person kept walking past me not saying anything. I called carmax told drivetime I was going there. The difference in carmax friendly. Waited on me right away. No waiting. Left was a 2023 car and good Warrentys. Drivetime Warrentys cover nothing. I would tell everyone go to carmax they do not ignore you

STAY AWAY

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Please STAY AWAY, DONT BUY. They sold me a completely faulty vehicle, claiming they had no idea there was a major oil leak.... If they go through the proper inspection how did something wo big slip through the cracks? This company is disgusting, and they blatantly lie straight to your face. I will do my best to warn others. Please spread the word so that no one else has to go through this.

Vince the sales person and Michael the…

Vince the sales person and Michael the store manager are wonderful people! The other two associates, I never learned their names, were both equally wonderful! The receptionist greeted me and told me about the refreshments they offered while I waited. The area was clean and warm and the music selection was excellent! I am very pleased with Drivetime and if the caliber of people at the Maplewood office in Minnesota is any indication of the quality of people Drivetime recruits then I say kudos to them! Thank you to Michael and Vince for making a stressful time very relaxing and enjoyable! Thank you again!

If there were zero stars

If there were zero stars, I would give you zero stars. Do not buy a car from here. They were great and friendly until there’s a problem. I had my car for 21 days and it is still sitting in a shop and no one can help me. They give you numbers, the runaround, and everything under the sun, but if there is a problem they will not support you. Run fast, buy from anybody else but them.

Horrible.

I see that they have responded to my review telling me to call customer service, which was also a joke. Basically told me there was nothing they could do to help!! The warranties are a joke and they do not take care of their customers. Last week when I called, they turf to me to the finance company, and they even tried to turf me to the warranty company. Ultimately nobody can help. Just run.

Oh better watch out with this company!! Don't get the warranty stuff! It's VERY deceptive. They tell you if you don't get it you can't add it but taking it off is the worst run around I've ever been through in my life!! If gotten different answers everywhere and somehow the hold times are long no matter who you call??? Then once you remove the warranty, your monthly payments will stay the same! You just pay off the loan sooner! Make sure you take the car back within 5 days or you are stuck!

Decent Used Cars, if you have no other options due to Credit Score

I’m straight up, don’t like to feel that I’m trying to be “sold” on something. If I want something, I want that SPECIFIC thing & nothing else. First, I go in to look at a specific car YET when I sit down the representative says “So, you’re interested in sedans?” NO, I’m not interested in “Sedans” I know exactly which vehicle I want & won’t give you my money for any other one on the lot so don’t waste my time. This was my very first experience purchasing a used car from a party that wasn’t private, honestly I don’t see the difference in this place being a “business”. I’ve purchased vehicles from private parties that at least have factory items, such as the VIN sticker on the driver side door panel which this car did not. When messaging Dexter about condition of tires, he says “The tires are in good shape & shouldn’t need to be replaced anytime soon” BS, are you not aware of the MN winters? Apparently he thinks tires that have pieces of rubber missing is “good shape”. I’d say just by looking at them, rims & tires will need to be replaced. I’ve also purchased vehicles from private parties that were in slightly better cosmetic condition overall. Driver door won’t stay open, when the concern was brought up it was simply brushed off “oh, but mechanically the car is good”. So what? That’s not the concern I brought up. Also, another guy working there mentioned something along the lines of “I like how these drive, have you driven one, they drive like BMWs” C’mon apparently you’ve never driven a BMW & if so not a proper one if you think the car sold to me drives like a BMW. I know used cars won’t be perfect, guess I’ve just had better experiences with the cosmetics of cars purchased from private parties. Lucky thing they offer a five business day(plus Saturday) “buyers remorse” window for you to bring the vehicle back. Plan on having it inspected by an authorized brand dealership first thing Monday morning when they open at 6:30am.
