This review is to made to warn potential patients against engaging the services of Dr. Thomas Dental Implant Clinic in Dubai, and in particular, about Dr. Biju Thomas' less than transparent and forthright business practices. Before I traveled to Dubai to have a dental implant procedure done, I had contacted several clinics to receive information about what was included in a dental implant procedure, and the pricing of such a procedure. From Dr. Thomas Dental Implant Clinic, it was Dr. Thomas personally who communicated with me by email, and he quoted the clinic's cost and content of the procedure. His email provided a cost range, a low and a high price point for the procedure. After receiving that information, I asked Dr. Thomas if there where any additional cost involved with the dental implant procedure, as related to whichever of the price point that would be selected, Dr. Thomas replied by email that the price quoted was the total cost, there would be no additional charges. With that information, I decided to engage his clinic, and I traveled to Dubai with the belief that I knew what the total cost of the dental implant procedure would be. But to my considerable surprise, after the first day of the procedure was completed, Dr. Thomas informed that before he could continue, I had to pay for the cost of the complete procedure, which included the cost of the highest price point he previously had quoted, and to which Dr. Thomas now had added additional cost which he called additional procedures. When I expressed my surprise at the additional cost, and reminded him of his email stating that there were no additional cost, he became agitated and quite unpleasant, and even disputed that he had ever stated that he had quoted a total cost. So my advise to anybody contemplating traveling to Dubai to have a dental implant procedure done, to avoid engaging Dr. Thomas Dental Implant Clinic. The lack of transparency in Dr. Biju Thomas' communication with potential patients, which prevents potential patients from making a choice of which clinic to engage based on trustworthy and transparent information, and by Dr. Thomas introducing additional cost after the procedure has started, does indicate that Dr. Biju Thomas is engaging in questionable business practices, where a patient will not be certain about what the total cost of his service will be, and will have no choice but to pay up whichever amount Dr. Thomas decides to demand, in order to have the procedure completed.
