My Husband has an eden mobility scooter which he purchased a year ago from a neighbour, it's a Road master plus so nice and substantial as my Husband is tall and we wanted something robust. As he suffers from Parkinsons disease and lumbar stenosis, he is unable to walk very far, so this is something which he has come to rely on. There was a bit of a clunking sound when he stopped the scooter sometimes so he decided that he would like to get it serviced. He contacted eden mobility in scunthorpe and they arranged for someone to come to the house to carry out the service on Tuesday May 19th and was told that it would cost £80 which we accepted. The person arrived, took the scooter a short distance down the road we live on and then carried out the 'service ' on the road outside our home which is where he had parked his van. About 30 minutes later, he knocked on the door, advised my Husband the service was done, told him that he had put more air in the tyres, and everything was fine. Took his £80 and left. So 3 days later, Bank Holiday weekend was beginning, the weather was lovely, so we decided to get the scooter out and head into cleethorpes, meaning my Husband had a change of scenery and I got to have a long walk through Cleethorpes. We got to the top of the drive and I noticed that the front wheel was not touching the ground, it was just spinning, but thought that once we were moving, it would balance out. We managed to get around 15 minutes walking time when my Husband asked me to check the stabilisers as he said it felt like they were on the ground. When I checked, the left stabiliser was on the ground and the reason was that the tyre was completely flat and the wheel was wobbling. So, we had to return home, at a steady pace, with the afternoon plans abandoned! My Husband rang Eden mobility and was basically told that it had been 3 days since the service and implied that my Husband had somehow got a puncture. We explained in no uncertain terms that the scooter had stayed where the eden mobility man had put it until that very day. Obviously it was Bank Holiday weekend so my Husband was unable to get out anywhere and the person on the phone said that he would send someone out on Tuesday, but it would cost us another £80 for a puncture repair! I basically told him that they wouldn't be getting any more money from us, especially when there was basically nothing wrong with the scooter before it was 'serviced ' and that we would get it sorted elsewhere. We contacted someone locally, who came later that day. He asked where the valve was on the flat tyre, no idea, there was no valve, nor a puncture, but obviously the inner tube was shredded due to using it with a flat tyre. So a new inner tube was provided and fixed, we had to pay the person who fixed it so we are now a total of £145 out of pocket for nothing as we still have the clunking noise on the scooter. I find the service appalling, we will never use them again, for sure. This is how the elderly/disabled are treated, disgraceful!!
Initial call to order scooter guy was rude
Lady who delivered scooter brilliant
Continually got flat tyres. Phoned told just pump them up Which we did. Husband went to cenotaph for last March with his regiment tyres had gone flat from leaving home to getting there. He couldn’t march.
Phoned complained. Girl on phone didn’t put phone down and commented about me
Phoned again as heard what was said manager sent someone to sort scooter. Turns out tyres had not been filled with run flat substance. Scooter replaced but can never forgive Eden as if they had listened he would have had his last March
Sentimentality has kicked in. I’m disabled and need new scooter. So thought get price and see what second hand value is on husbands scooter as still in van. Emailed few weeks ago Not even acknowledged
Last week got call saying collecting scooter today
So poor service, rude staff and it appears no desire to make sales
Reported to head office no communication received back. Trust pilot reply say being dealt with by Head Office. NOTHING
Yesterday 20/5/26 received hamper and hunch of flowers. No letter explaining why they did not respond not price for second hand scooter just sorry you unhappy. Now feel that they think it is acceptable to treat someone how they did. Make a veterans last trip out with his regiment an epic fail because they chose to ignore him and hope to pacify his widow with a hamper and a bunch of flowers. That is actually insulting when I just wanted ANSWERS to the concerns I raised
I actually wanted to buy his scooter as I am disabled. They obviously don’t need sales and don’t understand the importance of communication
Words fail me even more now.

As a former member of staff , my personal experience is poor , they advertise one thing then completely do something else , Head of people literally ignores company emails , I’m afraid this continues to be a thing they literally pay their store manager less than supermarkets pay their staff to stock shelves whilst demanding they achieve a multitude of Key performance indicators ‘s any one looking to work at Eden beware they’ll promise one salary and then pay you something completely different, they also appear to not understand that in the Uk we have a minimum holiday entitlement that they have to adhere to .

Had my new power chair delivered on the 11/11/25 i had only used it 3 or 4 times, noticed buttons had fallen off speed control, indication button loose, loose arms, and what i can only describe as rivet covers missing just prior to Christmas. To say this is was a brand new chair i would not have expected this to happen so quickly made me question was this a refurbished chair passed off as a NEW one.
Rang just after Boxing Day given the Christmas holidays I did not expect anyone to be available to help anyway. Advised I needed to ring my insurance and make a claim. Rang insurance to be told no wait on the line thats wrong, issues were covered by Eden themselves, and my insurance company spoke to them, I was then told by Eden they were very busy and the first time an engineer could get to me was the 14th January. No offer of replacement chair or any way of getting around outside of my home. Engineer came tried to fob me off about some issues saying they did not come with the chair untill I pointed them out on the other side!. Told I needed a new controller etc and they would be in touch.
Fast forward to 26th January no contact from Eden. I rang them to ask how long I was going to be without a chair to be told the part was on its way and they would get to me the 2nd week of February, only when I mentioned the cost of my chair being sat in my hallway was the appointment brought forward a week, and advised to ask to contact motability for a refund, no offer of a loan chair of any capacity until I rang motability, when they asked if I was offered one or if i had requested one, being new to the scheme i wasn't aware this was an option. Contacted Eden again to ask if I could have a loan chair to be told i'd be put on a loan list and they would be in touch if they had something suitable!. Seriously considering handing it back paying the £250 i will be charged to do so for the privilege of it sitting in my hallway and going with another company!!!

From the outset of gaining initial advice from Elaine at the Northampton store to Daniel at the Scunthorpe head office for the sales and purchasing, the experience of purchasing a Monarch Genie mobility scooter was smooth and trouble free.
Even down to the delivery by Jamie, the communications and service provided was excellent.
After a technical query post delivery, Daniel sorted everything out and put our mind at rest.
We would highly recommend Eden Mobility without any hesitation.
