After being badly let down by Tesco Marketplace and Blinds to go dealing with English blinds was a breath of fresh air. Everything was explained clearly, delivery time, measuring and fitting instructions were all easy to understand. The whole team are professional and extremely helpful. From time of placing order and receiving goods was only 9 days, which included a weekend. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone requiring good quality blinds at a very reasonable price. Thanks again for a great customer experience.

Really disappointed

The blind we received was the correct colour in slats antique cream, however the cords were white not co ordinating as they state and neither were the brackets also white. One support bracket was missing. The header clips on with see through clips!!! The light seepage more than in some other blinds. Customer service non existent, rude, derogatory, hung up too, asked me to put query in writing, even though had received about 8 emails already. An employee who answered the phone accused me of moaning then changed it to explaining then said it’s the same thing, Also oh your the woman who has sent about 20 emails!!! As you can imagine my surprise at the worst customer service possible, no chance of a possible resolution with this company as a closed book approach to everything. The customer is always wrong!

The 3 blinds arrived .
All 3 are the wrong size .
I sent an e-mail asking to look into the problem .
received an e-mail back asking for photographic evidence of the blinds .
When I replied , the order was placed in good faith and paid for up front , and that I should not have to produce evidence . The received blinds are not the correct size .
Matt the sender of the text e-mail made a remark that I was lying .
Only ordered 3 of the 12 that we are hanging for winter .
there loss .I lost a hundred pounds . but learnt a good lesson . ALWAYS LOOK ON TRUSTPILOT FIRST BEFORE ORDERING ANYTHING OFF THE INTERNET.

my neighbour is hanging the blinds in his caravan . they are that small . And I ordered them to cover 3 windows that let the most light into the rooms , first thing in the morning . and all 3 are quite large .
Could have been an easy mistake for this company to put right . without calling an untruthful person .
will think about buying them from a shop that I can talk to an assistant face to face and make an order that will be correct . with no unwelcomed remarks . from the internet . much better face to face

This is the seventh blind we have ordered from English Blinds over several years and we have been very happy with the service and quality of the product. Their instructions on how to measure were very useful enabling us to receive perfectly fitted blinds each time.
We would highly recommend.

Easy ordering service, clear measuring instructions and good choice of fabrics. Blind arrived in around a week and fitted perfectly - no drilling, perfect!

Not the “perfect fit”

We ordered a blind for our landing window with a 120cm drop. This was to replace another blind (different colour) with an 120cm drop which fitted perfectly. Unfortunately the blind supplied measured 118.5cm drop, not the “perfect fit” advertised.

In the small print we later discovered that the company work to a tolerance of 2-4cm which presumably means the blind could be up to 4cm too short. When we queried this the company said there was nothing they could do, and that “there can’t be more slats than needed because the bottom wouldn’t tilt and then the blind wouldn’t close properly” which we found confusing and felt like we were being fobbed off.

Secondly, the pelmet had one end curved and one straight end. Also hidden in the small print we learn that we are expected to trim the pelmet ourselves (not something we can do).

Poor customer service

We raised our concerns and formally escalated the complaint on 24 June. Around a week later we asked if the complaint had been escalated. The same day we were told that it had been that the manager was “extremely busy” and we needed to wait “a few more days”.

Today, 4 September, we are still waiting for a reply.

We don’t like writing negative reviews and have tried to resolve this with the company privately but sadly this has not happened.

Really happy with the blinds we purchased, great quality, made to measure, with good fitting instructions. The communication was first class, we were regularly updated on the status of the blinds, and when they were dispatched. When the blinds arrived they were very well packaged. We had roller blinds and they were not much more money than off the shelf one you have to cut down yourself. All the blind components are great quality and look and feel expensive, we would not hesitate to buy again, or recommend to others.

Clear, efficient process, great blind
Easy to understand the products on the website. Initially I was unsure whether it was a good idea to order a blind online. However, the website is very clear, explains the different types of blinds. I sent measurements of my window size and felt reassured that they would make the blind to the correct size. They did.

DO NOT BUY OFF THESE FRAUDS – Damaged goods and zero customer rights.

Do not buy off these frauds. I ordered made-to-measure PVC black blinds (Order 14955) which arrived heavily scratched down one side. These are not minor surface variations; they are clear, uniform machining tracks caused by faulty or uncalibrated factory equipment during production.

When I contacted customer service with photographic evidence, I was told by an agent named Peter that they would not offer a refund or replacement. They claimed their online product text warns customers that "scratches may be visible from 1 metre away," and argued that this generic disclaimer allows them to completely ignore the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They also claimed the scratched headrail didn't matter because it would be hidden by a pelmet.

A broad web disclaimer does not give a company the legal right to supply a brand-new product covered in factory tool defects. I am now forced to recover my funds directly through a Lloyds Bank chargeback dispute due to their blatant refusal to supply goods of satisfactory quality. Avoid this company if you expect a fault-free product and honest customer service.

The blinds are brilliant, very smooth tilt action. Production and delivery took a little longer than expected, but that wouldn't put me off from ordering from them again.

We've bought five blinds from them spread over two orders. Not being experts in blinds, we did need a little hand holding at the start. Obviously we contacted several different suppliers, but English Blinds were very responsive and helpful right from the beginning, before we even placed an order, which gave us the confidence to order from them. From start to finish, the experience has been very positive, including when we came across problems. Our blinds look fantastic and we are very pleased with them. We'd have no hesitation to recommend English Blinds to others.

Lovely blinds. I was so pleased with my first purchase of a wooden blind, I decided to buy another for our kitchen. I made a mistake on this second order which was soon rectified after I emailed. The price difference was immediately refunded. I would recommend English Blinds for the quality of the blinds and also their customer service.
