Took an order but received no confirmation in 3 weeks. They're not responding to emails either.
I ordered a freezer on the 28th March. It was due to be delivered on the 13th April. It didn’t arrive and I heard nothing from the company. After several calls, I received an email saying the freezer would be delivered on the 20th April. Again, it didn’t arrive and there was no apology or explanation. This company is a scam. I don’t believe the freezer was ever going to be delivered. I have had £264 stolen from me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
This company is a Scam!!! Don't use it! My experience is almost identical to several of the others here. I ordered a BBQ, paid via Apron with delivery scheduled the following week. The morning of the delivery I received an email informing me that the BBQ was damaged and they were ordering a replacement. I told them to cancel the order and refund my card. I received an email confirmation that the order was cancelled and to wait 5-7 days for the money to be appear in my account. It never arrived.
Ironically I chose to use them because they didn't charge for delivery - little did I know that that was because they never planned to deliver anything.
Overall a very sophisticated scam.
I ordered an expensive BBQ having first phoned the company, to check they were real and had the item which they could deliver on a certain date.All good so paid( always on a credit card)through a third party Apron. Email conformation with delivery date confirmed. 2 days later email saying that pre delivery inspection showed damage. New unit was on order and would be with me within a week. Needless to say it did not arrive. Emails and countless unanswered phone calls produced nothing. As I mentioned I used a credit card and Barclaycard gave me an instant refund. Essentialsdepot are still on line ,do not use them.
In my experience, dealing with EssentialsDepot has been very frustrating. After providing my personal information, I never received any follow-up or service as expected. I’ve tried contacting them multiple times via email and phone but haven’t received any response.
I also attempted to verify their listed address on Google Maps and couldn’t find a clear match, which raised further concerns for me. Overall, the lack of communication and transparency has been disappointing.
I would personally advise others to proceed with caution and do thorough research before engaging with this company, as my experience has not been a positive one. I’ve warned you

They will take your money then no send the goods. They then go silent, won't answer emails and their phone line goes to voicemail after 1 ring. It's basically theft.
Don’t trust this company I paid for a vacuum cleaner after over a week they told me it wasn’t in stock so I cancelled the order. They said they would refund but didn’t and then began ignoring my emails. I recovered my money after over a month by a credit card claim. Avoid this company at any cost.
Scammers, had exactly the same experience as below. Ordered a radiator and on day of delivery was emailed to say product had been damaged and was now delayed. Asked for refund, was told it would take 5-7 working days. Never received. Spoke to the guy on the phone and he basically laughed at me and told me to leave him alone, despite having £200 of my money.

Scammers that don't send goods,no refund, don't answer calls and emails. Should be avoided at all cost. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.
Placed order for a BBQ on 8/12/25 for delivery on the 15/12/25. Received email on 15/12 saying the item had been damaged and were awaiting replacement hopefully by 20/12 and they would then next day it to me. Tried emailing and ringing after this date on numerous occasions and just radio silence. Ended up getting my money back via charge back and buying elsewhere.
Ordered radiator which was due for delivery on 4th December. On 3rd December I received an email stating that it had been damaged and a replacement should be with them 10th December. Chased for updates with all emails going unanswered and phone calls going to voicemail (mailbox full so unable to accept messages). Requested cancellation of order and refund, again no response. Have resorted to claiming money back through credit card. Do not use this company!!!
Scam or just bad company? Either way, received no product. Ordered sink in late November for mid-December delivery. Received email on delivery date saying sink was broken but replacement would be sent a week later. Called on new delivery day and got through to someone who said it would be dispatched next day. Nothing ever arrived and calls and emails from then on went unanswered.
