Excellent service once again from the Darlington branch. We dealt with Joanne who was courteous, friendly and made the whole process of part exchanging and buying a new car easy from start to finish without any sales pressure. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

I liked having the QR code in the windows of the cars for sale so that I could look up the spec and cost myself.
I then spoke to Stacey who was friendly, very knowledgeable and listened to what was important to
me.
I also liked being able to test drive on my own.

I had my car’s first service carried out by Evans Halshaw, Darlington. (my local Ford dealer)

When it was booked, I pointed out what I thought was a minor problem (and would be covered by the Ford warranty) where the indicator unit inside the car sounded fast, but externally the lights were flashing at normal speed. This fault had been present on the car since purchase and the dealer where it was purchased had been made aware and agreed to rectify, however this involved travelling some distance. The car (my preferred model) was purchased from a dealer some distance away as it was not available local, nor at any of the Evans Halshaw dealerships.

It transpired that the ‘minor’ fault was not covered by the Ford warranty and I was charged £100 for a diagnostic test!. The invoice stated that the fault was ‘probably' due to the vehicle having previously fitted with a tow bar. The fault was not repaired nor was I was not given details of how it could be repaired or a repair estimate.

Having to waste a day, I returned the car to the dealer I purchased the car from, they rectified the fault in no time. No parts were required and I was informed the fault was cleared using the diagnostic tester to program the car that no tow bar was fitted.

I have to question what Evans Halshaw have charged £100 for, and why they did not complete the diagnostic test and clear the ‘fault’? A quick google reveals that programming is required on a Kuga following a towbar installation. Surely a main dealer would have this info!

My impression was that If you have not purchased your car from them they are not interested in customer service and just on the take.

I will not use again.

I was kept up to date with the progress of my vehicle throughout and received a very professional video of my car by Scott the technician. Staff are extremely friendly, explain everything thoroughly and provide an excellent service from start to finish.

Aubrey Graham Salesperson at Darlington helped me for a third time purchasing a used car for my daughter last week and we're delighted with our new Ford Puma. Would recommend Evans Halshaw Darlington to anyone wishing to purchase a used car. Prior to each purchase we have looked online first and then contacted Aubrey, who has then looked to see if he can see a higher spec car for the same price or other similar options. This is really helpful when buying a used car, but he's not a pushy salesman which is great so you don't feel under pressure to make a hasty purchase.

Darlington branch stood out compared to other Evans Halshaw branches I have visited. Mercedes A class 2017 exactly as described, purchase and collection handled in a friendly and efficient manner.

Online booking system is not fit for purpose. Totally inaccurate, you will find out the price will be 2-3 times higher than it says online when you get to the garage.

Jo was lovely and we never felt pushed to buy. She helped out above and beyond with the end result being a practical car for our needs. Thank you

Since purchasing my used car from them I've had nothing but excellent service from both the customer service to the actual repairs and servicing. Adele and Steph were very condescending towards me over the phone.
Didn’t clean interior or external of car despite selecting this option prior to the service.
Felt like staff were trying to force through the most expensive options for parts rather than offer honest and best suited advice and suggestions
