Had to cancel my policy as Eversure…

Had to cancel my policy as Eversure would not insure my bike as it was kept in my garden. This is despite the garden being fully secure/locked and my bike secured to a wall anchor with a diamond rated lock and covered by a CCTV camera.
If I lived in a flat they would however insure it if it was kept in a communal area which seems to be a lot less secure.
I cancelled two days after taking the policy out which cost me £11 in admin fees.
Sundays cycling Insurance were happy to cover my bike being kept in the garden and I have better cover for a similar price.

We’re sorry for any disappointment this may have caused. When purchasing the policy, the full terms and conditions are agreed to, including the security requirements set by the underwriter, such as where and how the cycle is stored.

Unfortunately, cover isn’t available if the cycle is kept in a garden, as this falls outside of those requirements.

What a great experience

What a great experience. I started speaking with Craig on the chat function and Craig immediately said he'd give me a call which I really appreciated. Craig answered all my questions really well about the cycle insurance and gave me the enough confidence to be able to buy. Craig was a real credit to the company being calm, putting me on hold when needed and always telling me what was happening. Really great experience. I was also surprised at how comprehensive the cover was given the cost. Great service! Great product. Great price. For Craig's manager, I spoke with him at about 10:00 a.m. on the 25th of March.

Competitive rates

Competitive rates and comprehensive "add on" options.
Phone call is quite protracted and imagine much easier on line as don't get all the T&C's quoted at you.

The insurance is good. Automatic billing is terrible.

The insurance is good.
Having recurring payments as the default option is not appreciated. This deceptive practice is used by far too many companies that rely on their customers failing to cancel their subscriptions. It says a lot about the company’s ethics - not a good impression. If I find an alternative company that offers the same cover I will not be renewing my policy next year.

Excellent service

Very nice and friendly person on the phone. Listened to my list of requirements and gave me all relevant information on cover options etc and got a really good quote

No fuss easy to buy photographic…

No fuss easy to buy photographic equipment insurance from a well respected insure. User friendly website and easy to navigate. However, buying was made easy, proof of the calibre of the insurer will be if, ever the unfortunate day the claimant has to make a claim.

I notified Eversure before the 2025…

I notified Eversure before the 2025 renewal that I had changed my camera setup. But they insured for the old gear again this year. Having received two weird emails they eventually registered my new gear and as its worth less than the old stuff I got a £39 refund and an apology.

Avoid these amateurs

I made a claim against my bike insurance about a month before my insurance was due to expire. A few weeks later I received an email stating that my renewal was being declined, which was bemusing but not a problem as I hadn't asked for it to be renewed. Then a few weeks later I receive another email: "success! your cover has been renewed for another year!". No advance notification that this was happening, no idea how much they had taken out of my account, no communication at all. I phoned them, as to be expected on hold for ages, and eventually spoke to someone who didn't know what was happening and put me on hold again whilst she went to figure out was what going on. She came back to me saying she guaranteed that she would get back to me by the end of the day. She didn't get back to me.
I called Ever(not so)sure again the next day and spoke to someone else. Again she was not sure what had happened but assured me that the money that had been taken out of my account would be refunded. It was refunded-MINUS A PENNY!!!. In other words, not enough to complain about but enough for them to make a tidy profit should they do this to everyone they pay out to. Use Sundays for your cycle insurance- costs a bit more but more competent and trustworthy

Thanks for your review, and we’re sorry for the confusion caused.

A renewal was initially not offered following your recent claim, and an email was sent in error before this could be referred to our underwriters. Once reviewed, the decline was removed and your policy became eligible for renewal again. Unfortunately, a new renewal invitation wasn’t issued, which we now know meant the charge came as a surprise - we sincerely apologise for this.

This has now been raised internally to prevent similar issues going forward, and we’re glad the matter has since been resolved.
