My wife wanted an updated V.W. Scirrocco. Saw Scirrocco R for sale here with 25000 miles on it.
Extras included electric 10 position drivers seat etc.
Paid £500 deposit, the car being 360 miles away, an̈d agreed to pay half of £500 delivery costs which was £250 for us.
Car delivered was 30000 + miles on it and drivers seat was purely mechanical. It certainly wasn't a good car. The car wasn't as advertised so phoned garage and explained reason for refusing car and requested £250 be returned.
This was ignored by garage no matter how many phone calls and car was re-advertised with 30000 miles on it but still with 10 position electric seat even though garage know this to be untrue. It's advertised as that today 24th Jan 2025.
I have photographic proof of all I say and can honestly say this garage is a rip off, they lie openly, they are cheats and completely ignore complaints. One star is the lowest rating I can give which is a pity. Minus 5 would have been fairer.

Please, please, please don't purchase a car from these guys, we purchased a seat ibiza which on the outside looked awesome, full service history, warranty, what could go wrong!! Well firstly you never get to see this famous warranty, when things do go wrong you spend hours trying to get them to take it in, they then take it to their mates who use second hand parts which fail in a week, then you start the painful process of getting them to take it back, they eventually had it for longer than we did. when we took it for a service we were told the car was not roadworthy, the exhaust had clearly had a bad repair job and was blowing amongst other issues, we ended up repairing it ourselves as the stress of dealing with these guys was too much. I can only assume the good reviews are made up or extremely lucky people as my experience echos that of all the complaints. They come across as lovely, helpful people but they couldn't tell the truth if their lives depended on it

As soon as they have your money they ignore, I have a problem in the first day, with undisclosed faults on car, they wont respond to my emails

Received the car July 2022, the gear box was making noises. I had it collected.
It was returned to me Oct 2022, the window had been polished with a high abrasive and was scratched beyond the point of repair, rendering it an MOT failure, 2 car tyres were cracked and unsafe, the brake pads were so worn down that I was advised by a 3rd party garage that I should replace them immediately, and the battery was dead.
At that point I requested a full refund, but Fenlake refused and stated they were willing to contribute towards the brakes, battery and Tyres, but not fix any of the other issues, including the windscreen they had damaged, beyond repair.
I commenced legal proceedings to gain a full refund, however, Fenlake then asked if I would allow them to complete all repairs instead. I said yes and stopped the instructions with my solicitor.
Mid Nov 2022 the car was collected, and then impounded by the police for 4 months for a 'Complex investigation'. The reason the car was stopped was because Fenlake had not completed the V5C document, to register the car in my name, when they sold it to me.
I received the car back on 4th March 2023 - 8 months after I had purchased it.
I had a 3rd party garage check it, only to be told that the gearbox & transfer box had a significant leak and was going to be drained of oil very soon, so it was unsafe to drive!
At this point Fenlake agreed to a refund for the original price of the car, plus a few out of pocket expenses on 30th March 2023 and that the refund would be given within 7 days of them receiving the car back, and if not received, I would start court proceedings for this, plus tax, insurance and solicitors costs (Which were increasing monthly).
They collected the car but didn't pay me, then tried to renegotiate the deal, which had been agreed to in writing, for damage on the car that they had known about when they agreed the refund.
It took 2 court cases with 2 judgements over a 5 month period, over a 2 year timeline, from the initial purchase date, for this to finally be done and dusted. CCJ number: K53YX312

Purchased a car from these guys and found out it had a faulty sensor. They asked me to bring it back in and attempted to fix it. First time they tried it did not work so they offered me a courtsey car while they found and repaired the fault. All in all top service, would recommend.

Great dealer , car delivered on the date expected also after 2 weeks of having the car the battery went dead so I contacted the dealer and they sorted it out ASAP for me. Good service all round.

I WARN ANYONE NEVER EVER BUY A CAR FROM FENLAKE THEY SOLD ME A CAR THAT HAD BEEN WRITTEN OFF WITHOUT TELLING ME JAY THE GUY WHO RUNS IT IS AN ABSOLUTE **** I TRIED TO GET THIS RESOLVED AND THEY DIDNT WANT TO KNOW CAR HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES

I am very happy with the service I received at Fenlake Car Sales. I saw a car on CarGuru and contacted then directly to arrange a test drive. I had a few queries prior to the test drive and they answered them promptly. When I went to test drive, Jay attended to us and gave us ample time to inspect the car throughly and left me and my partner to it. He was very patient. After taking the car for a test drive, we were happy with it but wanted a few things sorted such as a replacement washer fluid cap and drivers seat casing as these were damaged. We were reassured that they would get replacement parts from the Ford direct and were happy with this. When we came to collect the car, the car was cleaned and the parts were replaced. Jay then told us that they're not sure about the health of the battery as the car has been idle and it's 8 year old car with original battery and thag they would replace it for us if there is any issues. We drive the car an hour home. Unfortunately there was an issue with the battery and it needed jump starting, we checked the battery health and it failed. After contacting Fenlake Car Sales, we sent proof of the battery test and they were happy to pay for a new battery. It took a few days because of my work schedule, but they contacted my local Euro Car Parts and I collected the battery from there. Overall, I can not be more satisfied with their service and the fact they kept their promise. I would definitely recommend Fenlake Car Sales.

A smooth transaction and when did have a problem sorted it out highly recommend

My experience of buying a car from these guys has been extremely good.
They were very helpful on the phone, told me no nonsense facts about the car. I went for a test drive and had a couple of minor issues - they fixed all the issues all at cost to them before the sale without fuss, every interaction was open and honest.
They gave a 1 year warranty on the body and engine of the car and it's been fantastic for the last 1.5months.
I would completely recommend this garage.

Brought a car from these guys in September and it’s been a fantastic experience indeed, had couple of little problems but rang Kay and jay and got car fixed and they give me a loan car while mine was in for repair, top quality service no pushing for sale at all and kept to there words any problems we will sort, thanks for a good deal I’m well impressed with my Audi a3 and would highly recommend these guys if your after top class service, will see you all again on my next purchase, all the best Shane

My partner bought a BMW from Fenlake, I have forgotten owners name but he seems a top bloke, and I remembered him from when he worked with his dad somewhere else. He's not 'pushy' at all and has a good family man aura about him. Car is perfect and decent price. We got car looked over after buying and it was in perfect nick. I would definitely recommend.

I'm leaving this review as i find with all businesses, people (and im guilty) are quick to leave a negative review, but when things go well dont bother!

Bought a BMW 3 series from this dealer in Oct-23, all I can say is that the service provide was impeccable. All of my concerns and question were professionally answered and the finance application process was made very simple.
