One of the holes in the beam was not drilled deep enough, which is a bit of a problem as I did not have a drill bit long enough to drill it out.
Had to borrow one from a relative to complete the install

Stylish fire surround.
We loved the stylish look of the fire. When it was delivered it didn't disappoint. Great product from a very trustworthy supplier. They gave us a timeframe for delivery and they managed to deliver well within that.
The fireplace was good quality with a set of detailed fitting instructions. Their delivery driver pointed out that if we get stuck to ring the company for additional help and information. Couldn't fault 'Designer Fireplaces'. First class service from ordering to delivery. Very happy customers.

Great company
Great company. Gave good advice. Did a 3D diagram of how the fireplace and fire would fit. Also prompt delivery and only paid once the fire surround was in place. Thinking now of changing the hearth and back panel. Just need to get the measurements.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you're enjoying your new electric fire and found it easy to install.
We sincerely apologize for the delay in delivery. As we mentioned, the manufacturer was unexpectedly out of stock, which unfortunately extended the delivery timeframe beyond what was initially advertised. We did offer a refund as an option due to the delay, and we appreciate your understanding and patience in waiting for the product to become available.
Thank you again for your purchase and for sharing your experience.

What a stunning fireplace
What a stunning fireplace. Had to wait just over a month for delivery but that did have Christmas shutdown in that time. But wow, well worth the wait. Absolutely beautiful. Amazing finish and super quality. Tilly was always quick to reply to any emails and enquiries and so helpful.

Had great customer service from this…
Had great customer service from this company. However the electric fire purchased with the suite stopped working after 3 months. The manufacturer of the fire sent a new one, which has stopped working after one week. To say I’m fuming is an understatement.

Dear Lisa,
We apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced with the electric fire, and we understand your frustration. Please know that the manufacturer typically handles issues of this nature directly. While we do our best to assist and expedite the process, we're limited in our ability to directly resolve technical issues. However, as your fire is still under warranty, the manufacturer will be able to assist you in resolving this matter.
We're glad to hear you've had a positive experience with our customer service, and we remain available to assist you with any other questions or concerns you may have.
Best regards,

Totally brilliant (aka OakFireSurrounds)
We ordered a rustic oak surround with granite hearth and back panel. Not sure which finish best matched our other furniture we also ordered some samples which arrived next day and we emailed back to request the golden beeswax. We were kept informed of progress at every step. A little over a week from ordering everything was delivered safely to our living room.
We are very very pleased with this purchase and fully recommend Designer Fireplaces / Oak Fire Surrounds.
