Significant operational and ethical…

Significant operational and ethical shortcomings based on detailed scrutiny of their policies and oversight issues. Concerns over transparency, accessibility, and regulatory compliance overshadowed potential benefits.

Questions arose about potentially using a TA as a substitute, raising doubts on instructional consistency and legal implications for delivery standards.

ADA compliance emerged as a major red flag. These gaps contrast sharply with the bootcamp's inclusive marketing, suggesting systemic barriers.

Approach Fullstack Academy cautiously; verify current policies and accommodations before enrolling. Stronger alternatives may better suit detail-oriented professionals prioritizing ethics and support.

Misleading, dishonest, and predatory billing practices

I enrolled at Fullstack Academy and later withdrew from the program. At the time of withdrawal, my student advisor confirmed in writing that my last two payments would be canceled and not charged. Despite this, I later received notice that Fullstack still intended to charge me.

When I asked for a copy of my direct message history in Slack — where my advisor confirmed the cancellation — they ignored my request and removed me from the Slack channel so I could not access the evidence. This was deeply unethical.

I also sent written notice revoking all payment authorizations, yet they continued to insist on charging me, which could have put my checking account over $1,000 in the negative. The stress and emotional toll this has caused has been overwhelming.

Their “no refunds after 6 weeks” policy is being used as a loophole to extract money that I was explicitly told I did not owe. I have filed complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other agencies.

I would strongly advise anyone considering this program to think carefully before entrusting Fullstack Academy with your money. Based on my experience, they do not honor their own agreements, and they treat students with disregard once they withdraw.

This company is mirroring ELON MUSK.....stay FAR FAR away or dont and be mad you were warned

Don't even for one second unless you have done extensive research to know they haven't switched out everything that Made said course you want highly ranked. Bc I will tell you right now if they redid all the stats or ranks accordingly Fullstack would probably get closed down by the board of education. Bc it seems there end goal as of late aka new ownership is just how many people they can dupe for 2 months (when refund is 0%) to secure that tuition. They make 30-40mil a year profit. In 2012 the man who made this company what it used to be and nothing even remotely close to now started it with securing 120k in investment loans. You think this person who bought it cared about anything other than knowing he can cut everything and make it shit but still piggyback off old ass data showcasing Fullstack is the top or next closest when it comes to these types, long enough to put almost half a billion in his pocket? You should know the answer to that and the answer in where you should def not go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Avoid at all costs

I attended their full-time web development program, and the first week started off shaky. Perhaps it was because people were just getting used to condensed learning and didn't know how to use their computers. This was already a red flag for me, seeing that they let anyone into the course. However, after the point of no return for refunds, the quality of teaching was awful and disjointed. For three and a half months, nothing was learned, and many nights were spent using YouTube to learn, which is what I paid FSA to teach me. We had three different instructors, none of whom knew the material, how to teach, or anything current in the tech stack used currently. There were also many students who needed too much hand-holding as well. It felt like throwing money straight into a scam, instead of education, and they were quick to try to kick you out if you complained about bad instructors. I would avoid at all costs.

Not Recommended

I attended their part time (3 times a week) course on Cybersecurity. It started off fine, but within the first two months, we had gone through 2 instructors and were on to our third. Also, the course materials during that first few weeks was excellent, however once you were past the drop out/refund point, the class materials slowly decreased in quality. Sometimes the class materials were not ready until after the day of the lecture. Most of the course labs and test did not use real world examples, instead focused on 'capturing the flag'. The toolset used for the course seemed to be random, first it was one first of a Unix/VM machine, then it was a completely different Unix/VM machine, then it was an online Unix/VM machine. The final instructor was very poor, he had his 'favorites' whom he talked to or took questions, but the rest of us were ignored. He liked to teach using a whiteboard method (visuals are normally a good way to compliment teaching), but his handwriting was so bad that it was unreadable. He was inaccessible during lab times if you weren't assigned to one of his favorite's tables.
