Website design isn't very strong but after a day of use I now find it easy to navigate. Loan provided with full valuation report, information on previous loans taken out by the same person such as the time taken to repay and honest LTV ratios including any other loans taken out against the same asset. I've been getting good returns and would definitely recommend. Only thing which I can think of is that you should do your own research on previous loans taken out instead of just blindly lending to anyone (but that's pretty obvious on any P2P lending platform, share dealing, etc.).

Stay Away.
I invested into over 30 loans from 03/2016. At present 19 paid out, 11 are overdue, 2 active- Thats over a 1/3 not performing!. When loans stop performing they are incredibly slow in beginning foreclosure proceedings- so far none of my overdue loans appear anywhere near being recovered. (Some of them over 200 days late!) Bad communication, ridiculously uninformative investor updates.
I have used other P2P sites and this has been my worst experience. Am pulling out whatever I can and will be happy if I manage to get my principal back.

Had a bad experience with Funding Secure. FS updated the lenders on the loan development and as it turned out the money was not used for the development but something else. FS were informed of this but provided completely false updates to lenders. So whilst there could be a decent 13% on offer be careful on the loans on FS.

P.S I was referring to the Whitehaven loan in default currently. Please do let us all know if you did inspect the Whitehaven development in June 2016 and whether you confirmed everything as per the loan details.

Updated on 25 May 2019: Still no satisfactory resolution on the Whitehaven loan. No answers from Funding Secure when asked simple questions about Whitehaven loan. So whilst Funding Secure keep mentioning their overall % returns and defaults, they keep forgetting to answer simple questions about loans.

I have taken short term bridging loans from Funding secure on two occasions now, offering a car as collateral.

They are professional, no fuss, fast, low key, elegant and discrete. Excellent customer service - there when I needed them and easy to redeem when my cash flow recovered.

I would not hesitate to recommend them. 5 Stars.

Seriously had very bad experience. Invested £2500 but had to close account in 24hrs. Customer support is rude and arrogant.

Been investing with FS for last two years. So far no bad loans and my return averaging over 12%. A couple of loans have taken more than the expected six months to get repaid but came good eventually and interest was fully paid on the extended loan period. Would recommend to all.

I have been both FS as an investor for eighteen months now and in that time I have gone from having full confidence in them to get my money back to no confidence. They have no clear strategy in handling late payers , and are now showing a blatant disregard for the people that lend to there platform

Funding Secure are a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Raising funds via Funding Secure has been a painless experience. Although this did not negate from the team at Funding Secure carrying out their due diligence on our Company to ensure investors are protected. The platform pays high interest, has a good number of loans available without the kind of bid limits often imposed by other platforms. Therefore the platform will be especially worthy of consideration to large investors . Nearly all loans are asset-backed with a 6-month term offering 12% or 13% interest per annum. However too many loans end up being repaid late with the risk of default looming. There is a feeling that the late-payers are treated too leniently. A thriving secondary market allows buying or selling loan parts at a discount or a premium.

I have used several P2P platforms and FS has many benefits over most of them. The SM has a decent size and the availability of new loans is also impressive. Highly recommended.

I was a sceptive due to their returns and started small and spread across multiple loans. Now I have started to place more cash but still spread...no defaults to date! Like the customer service with 0800 number and online chat if I have any queries.

Like all P2P platforms. There is a risk in investing, and the higher the interest rate you go for, the higher the chances of a failure.

I seem to have more loans giving me concerns with FS than I do with Moneything, SavingStream & Ablerate, perhaps I have been unlucky.

That said after 2 years of investing in FundingSecure with one loan having a 30% loss of capital and all interest and a couple of late loans, my Rate of Return remains over 10%.

As always, diversification is the key and FS is one of my preferred P2P platforms.
