Very poor protection.

Very poor protection.
Cards placed in card holder scratched the screen.
Phone was dropped from a height of 2 ft in case and it broke the bottom corner of the phone glass.
The case has completely frayed after 6 weeks of use.
Really disappointed with the quality of the case and lack of drop protection

Had a case for less than 4 months… what a joke of a company!!

Had a victoria case for less than 4 months before it fell apart (the back panel came away from the poorley glued protective edge)
Since July 2019 I've been asking for a replacement case but was sent one I didnt request. When asked about it in August I was fobbed off and told the requested one would be in stock soon and it would be sent to me... so essentially left to hope and wait.
2 months later I am having to chase up getting the correct case and no one has ever sent me anything, not even an apology email.

Meanwhile I've got a trail of emails that would scare you and feel like I've dealt with most of the customer service department as it's always a new person picking up my case and somehow not caring or botching it up further.

I dont understand how the case can be over £30, having seen it fall apart these cases cost pennies to make!!

Very disappointed in the gear 4 case

Very disappointed in the gear 4 case - my iPhone XR fell on its back and the entire back glass has cracked. Really expected better quality and protection. Can not even replace the back since it’s so expensive to replace an iPhone XR back glass.

Badly made with design flaws but problem rectified really well

I have left my original 1* review below but since dealing with Claire, Gear4 have earned a 4* review. She has addressed my issues and sent out a better replacement for me in just a few days. This is excellent service and I’m very impressed indeed. It’s refreshing to see a professional response from high is acted upon. Thanks again Claire.

This is the 2nd case I’ve had from these amateurs. The 1st case - the plastic bridge near the charge socket broke within a few days. I contacted them but they refused to replace or accept it was a bad design. For £35 I expected good quality.

The 2nd case for my iPhone XS Max saw the bridge replaced with a flexible silicone, so at least they fixed that, but now the card slots in the cover have frayed so the cards now slide out the side, and the seam has also separated on the edge.

My previous phone leather case costing £15 from a mall stall is over 3 years old and still in use.

Bad quality, bad design, don’t waste your money

I dropped my new iphone xr flat on its back for the first time in my gear4 case and it’s cracked! I wish I didn’t waste my money on this because It’s so expensive to get my back fixed. I don’t recommend especially if they won’t even offer to pay for what their case claims shouldn’t happen.

Bought gear 4 case for my new 11max pro ,
Got the fluorescent colour , with in 30 minutes case was scratched and that was just from putting phone in cover.
£30.00 you would expect better quality says it’s scratch resistant..(not)

Bought the gear4 D30 Oxford Eco Note…

Bought the gear4 D30 Oxford Eco Note 10Pro on 13/09/2019 in Currys PC World (Carphone Warehouse) by the 28/09/2019 the front cover above and below the clip has started to fray, bought a cheap case as l was going on a holiday. I took it back to the above company today 11/10 as l have been away and was told to contact Gear4 for a replacement case, surely a £34-99 phone cover should be better quality. Not happy.

Pathetically poor quality!!

Not as described, does not live up to its name!
What a waste of time and money - do not purchase the D30 approved Gear 4 case!!

I dropped my iphone xs max from less than 1m height on the floor. This is the first time i have dropped the phone and it had landed flat on its back (not the screen side). This completely shattered the glass back of the phone and offered no protection what so ever. I may as well have not had the case on.

This is now going to cost me over £600 to get the glass replaced and a few days down time without a device.

Awful customer service!!

J'ai acheté 2 étuis pour mon Samsung…

J'ai acheté 2 étuis pour mon Samsung S8+ et mon iPhone 8+ sur recommandations du vendeur et une vidéo YouTube et au bout de à peine 1 an les 2 étuis sont brisés au même endroit et mon Samsung à subit des dommages majeurs à l'écran.clairement les otta box sont meilleur et la supposé garantie gear4 est questionnable surtout pour ce faire rembourser ou échanger son étui.

I bought the Victoria case for my phone and it said it was scratch resistant but within a couple months it looked horrible and you can see scratches everywhere. Not worth the money.

Was persuaded to buy a gear4 cover…

Was persuaded to buy a gear4 cover instead of trusted otterbox cover for my new samsung phone last year.
Not only has the clear edges turned yellow/brown but the sides also came away from back .dropped my phone and back is cracked very disappointed with cover.
Spoke to rep who sold cover to me and her reply was contact gear4???
Yet I bought from carphone directly

I bought this case 6 months ago and…

I bought this case 6 months ago and after only 2 months the sides starting coming off. By now only the bottom and part of the top are still holding.

I raised it from 1 to 3 stars as after chatting with support for about an hour they got me a replacement. Just a pity I have to pay 5.99 to get it, but that's not too bad all in all

Ridiculous. The back of my phone has smashed after falling from the hight of my waist.
The phone case has not Done its job correctly. False advertisement! I have no idea how this is branded #1

I bought my gear 4 case and it really does save your phone

I bought my gear 4 case for my samsung S10+ from carphone warehouse as Vodafone did not have one, the guy I spoke to said it was a good case .... yea ok I thought, they all say that but coming home from a weekend away, I stupidly left my phone on the roof of my car and started to drive home! not only did it survive the fall at 30mph! when I found it, the case had tyre marks where it had been driven over! I'm always going to buy these cases.......you should too

I have the phone case protector for a Samsung S8 and find it to be flawless. I believe these are being discontinued which is unfortunate, though thanks to contact via the fantastic twitter team I received a new one within a day it two of ordering it, and now that I'm intending upgrading to Huawei p30 Pro, my first port of call will be to Gear4 to have a protective case for that.

Years of smart phones and the always reliable are the Gear4 accessories.

Mixed bag!

I purchased an iPhone from Carphone Warehouse a couple of years ago after the salesman gave a memorable and quite violent demonstration of the product! He was very persuasive ( I guess he was on commission?)

Cover was fine until 6 months ago when it started to split apart! Given I’d paid £29.99 I was a bit peeved given how cheap phone cases can be. I decided to complain and found the process quite convoluted and designed to put off. I had to send a photocopy of my original receipt which amazingly I kept!

Just as I was losing the will to live I e-met Heather - one of the client services team who was excellent. She sorted out a gratis replacement and was always prompt and positive in replies. I’ve given gear4 a 3 because the product shouldn’t have split (1) but Heather and her client service deserves a 5! I’ve now received a replacement cover which looks much better and more robust. Maybe the product will now match the level of customer services?

Shocking customer services
I have never experienced a customer services as unresponsive and rubbish as this one.
Having accidentally purchased the wrong sized case for my girlfriends iphone i have sent no less than 4 emails to the company to try and sort this out and not received a single reply. They couldn't give a stuff.

THESE CASES DO NOT WORK

Like others on this site, the back of my iPhone XR shattered after falling from a 3-foot tall counter with a gear 4 case on it. I have always bought stupid $5 cases off Amazon and have NEVER had my phone shatter from a fall, but I buy this nice expensive case and it shatters on the first drop. Absolute crap. DO NOT BUY CASES FROM THIS COMPANY.

The back of my iPhone XR got shattered…

The back of my iPhone XR got shattered during a fall of less than 10 feet. The Gear4 Piccadilly failed to protect the phone. I had to pay $199 for my phone to be replaced. What’s the point of paying for a case that fails to do its job? I want my money back. So not satisfied.

The Crystal Palace Gear4 for the S10 is difficult

The Crystal Palace Gear4 for the S10 looks and feels nice, but nobody seemed to do an ease-of-use test. This product is extremely difficult to put on and take off of my phone. The corners get caught underneath the phone basically making it impossible to get the case to fully cover my phone. The only thing worse it trying to get it off. You have to put an uncomfortable amount of pressure on your phone to get the case off. Wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. This product is evidence of the race to the bottom in the design aspect.
