From start to finish this was a pleasant car buying experience, we picked up our car three weeks ago and it was well presented, serviced and MOT'd, we're a high milage family as we've three kids in seperate special schools so within this 3 week time frame the vehicle racked up some miles, we noticed a clutch judder so asked the dealer for assistance, the Aftercare was amazing.... car was booked in, loan car provided and they put a new clutch and flywheel in the car without any quibble whatsoever, the wheel bearing was an MOT advisory so they replaced that too, 2 day turn around time and our new car is absolutely faultless, the stock they have onsite is of a really high standard, you can tell the vehicles are hand picked for resale rather than just buying anything from the auctions and hoping for the best like other dealers do, communication is phenomenal, ive not had to contact them once bar booking the car in !

All told... ive bought 7 used cars in the past 8 years and this experience has topped the lot !! By a good mile aswell

A pleasure to do business with

This was a straightforward, no hassle purchase. No pressure salesmen - just honest people wanting you to enjoy your ca buying experience.
Ed was a pleasure to deal with - always returned calls and emails very promptly, was always courteous and helpful.
I would certainly use GMZ again..

I purchased a Discovery Sport HSE

I purchased a Discovery Sport HSE in February 2026. The process was amazing from start to finish. My brother's collected my car on my behalf and were really happy with the service they got from Ed and the team. Ed even had private plates made up for me. I am loving the car 😁. Will definitely return in the future to purchase from GMZ Motors

Great after sales experience

Mixed experience, but overall, really happy with the garage. I bought a Landrover Discovery a few weeks ago. On the day of collection, the car's engine management light came on, and the car went into limp mode. Called the AA out and diagnosed the issues. Reached out to GMZ the next morning, and the car was collected and a courtesy car arranged. Zaine has been amazing with communication, and repairs are being completed. Issues can arise, but it's the handling of the situation in that moment, and I have to send praise to the garage on their after-sales experience. Even the sales guys have been really good. But overall a great experience and really not much inconvenience caused as they've offered collection of my vehicle and drop off of the courtesy car at my door. Thanks so much, Zaine, for the great service.

Great place

Great place , the workers are helpful and supportive. Bought my car a month ago and had a small issue with tpms sensors coming up on the dash . They got me in as soon as the parts were available and was fixed the same day dead happy with the service . Definitely recommend

Excellent dealership - friendly staff and would recommend

Good, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Helped me look for a car that suited my needs and left me with the vehicle to inspect. I did not feel pressured like most places and had the time I needed during my test drive for as long as I wanted.

Would recommend and would be back in future. Excellent dealership and a good experience overall

Was looking for Range Rover

Was looking for Range Rover so went shopping came across gmz motors outstanding collection of cars loved a few but had a price I wanted to pay so paid deposit then hay ho picked up on 30/9/2025 had couple things needing checked so took back and true to word sorted out straight away over the moon many thanks lads for all your help on deciding on this motor will deffo recommend and use again

Bad Experience with a vehicle

In April 2025, my partner and I purchased a 2015 Audi A5 from GMZ Motors. On the surface, the vehicle seemed to be everything we were looking for. We were approved for finance, travelled to the dealership, completed all the paperwork, and had a smooth handover with Matteo, one of the service advisors. We left feeling positive — at least initially.

Just two weeks later, that confidence turned into concern. While entering a motorway via a slip road — one of the most dangerous moments for a car to malfunction — the engine light came on, the car began misfiring, and went into limp mode and refused to accelerate past 30-40 mph trying to get off the slip way. It was a frightening and unsafe situation, especially for a car we had just purchased.

We contacted GMZ Motors immediately and spoke to a service advisor. Rather than offering help or showing any concern, we were simply told to contact the warranty company. No apology. No reassurance. Just a complete lack of responsibility.

The car was towed to an Audi dealership for a full diagnostic. The master technician discovered that the turbo had failed and the DPF was clogged with soot — serious faults. What alarmed him even more was that there were no warning lights or error codes showing on the dashboard or on his diagnostic tools related to any DPF issues. After further inspection, he found the reason why: the car had been potentially remapped.

This was the first time we were made aware of the potential remap — something that GMZ Motors never disclosed to us at any point during the sale. It wasn’t in the listing, not in the description, and was never mentioned in person or in any documentation. Audi confirmed that due to this, the car no longer qualifies for any warranty, and they strongly advised against performing a software update, as it could further damage the car and potentially cause even more issues with its potentially hidden issues.

This lack of disclosure raises serious legal concerns. Remapping significantly alters a car’s performance, and selling a remapped car without informing the buyer is a serious breach of trust — and potentially a breach of consumer protection laws. It now leaves us asking: What else might GMZ be hiding from their customers? The fact that something so significant was kept from us casts a shadow over the legitimacy of their entire business practice.

During our attempts to resolve the issue, we contacted Zain, the manager, via WhatsApp. Rather than offering accountability, he dismissed Audi’s findings and tried to dissuade us from trusting them, referencing his own negative experiences with Audi. He encouraged us to look at GMZ’s positive reviews instead — but ironically, we now find ourselves among the customers who had a negative and costly experience.

We were offered two limited and unhelpful options, including towing the car to Newcastle at our own expense so they could carry out repairs using non-Audi approved parts (some of which weren’t even in stock). The lack of transparency around the repair process and the dismissive attitude gave us no confidence moving forward.

Eventually, we decided to cut all communication with GMZ Motors as it became clear the situation wasn’t being handled properly. The issue has now been escalated to the finance company, who are conducting a formal investigation. Audi has advised us to drive the car cautiously, avoid any software updates, and await the outcome of the investigation before making any further decisions.

To date, we’ve spent thousands of pounds out of pocket to deal with issues that should never have existed on a vehicle sold as roadworthy.

Our experience with GMZ Motors has been beyond disappointing. The lack of transparency, the dismissive attitude toward serious safety concerns, the undisclosed remap, and the overall customer service have been unacceptable. We urge others to be extremely cautious when considering buying from GMZ. What happened to us shouldn’t happen to anyone else.

We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and the concern this situation has caused you and your partner. At GMZ Motors, we take all customer feedback seriously, and we never want anyone to feel unsupported after purchasing a vehicle from us.

That said, we feel it is important to clarify some details for transparency. When you first contacted us regarding the issues, our team immediately explained that the car was covered under the warranty provided at the point of sale. You were advised to either arrange recovery of the vehicle to us, or alternatively, allow us to organise recovery through the AA. We also confirmed that, once in our care, we would handle the repairs in full at no cost to you. Unfortunately, this offer was declined, and instead, you expected us to cover the £3,600 bill from Audi for replacing the turbo. Regrettably, that repair did not resolve the problem, and Audi later suggested a possible remap as the underlying cause.

Both the finance company and the appointed complaint handler also requested that the car be returned to us so we could carry out the necessary inspections and repairs. However, you insisted on keeping the vehicle with Audi, which unfortunately has not resulted in a satisfactory resolution.

With regard to the alleged remap, we want to emphasise that the vehicle passed all of our pre-sale checks and there was no evidence to suggest it had been modified. If Audi’s findings have raised further questions, we would very much welcome the opportunity to review their report directly and investigate this matter further with you.

We completely understand how frustrating this situation must be, and we sincerely apologise if at any point our communication left you feeling unsupported. Our only aim is to ensure that our customers drive away safely and happily — never with doubt or worry.

We have already reached out to you via email with an apology, and we kindly ask that you respond so we can continue to assist you. We remain more than happy to work with both you and your finance company to achieve the best possible resolution.

Went to GMZ Motors as seen a car we liked on there website ,The people we spoke to were lovely & very helpful ,They did not harras us when having a look at the car ,gave us the keys to look at car ,also took it for a test drive & says if we need any help to just ask ,The service from these guys was brilliant from start to finish ,we did purchase the car we were looking at ,which was then giving a full MOT Service & vallet ,Received a phone call when car was ready to pick up ,I was at work so i asked the lad if he could drop it off at my house 😀which he did .car runs lovely ,I also received a curtiiusy call a week later asking 8f I was happy with everything, to which I was .if you are thinking of buying a car i would 💯 recommend GMZ motors ,if you see 1 you like on there website do not hesitate & put the holding deposit down ( which is refundable) as I hesitated on first car i liked & when I looked again it had been taken
