They didn’t send the steak for my steak…

They didn’t send the steak for my steak teriyaki. Their customer service has ignored me for two days. The automated “concierge “ is s joke, asking a series of questions then telling me ITS AFTER HOURS!

The BEST!!

I've tried many food prep meal service type companies, including Hello Fresh, Factor, etc. Gobble is by far the BEST!!! best tasting and easiest prep. It's also taught me some invaluable cooking tips and tricks.

I LOVE IT!!!! ❤️

Deliveries have been consistent

Deliveries have been consistent. Most meals have been easy & quick to prepare. Some of the combinations (grapes, mushrooms, rice combined) have been different & really good.

My deliveries have been a day late…

My deliveries have been a day late multiple times and I havent been using this service for very long. I ordered 7 deliveries and 3 have been a day late arriving after dinner time. When they arrive the food is cold but the ice is completely melted and it worries me that my food might be spoiled. I've had to throw out a couple meals due to this concern. Late: October 24th, October 31st, September 26th.

almost perfect

The food is great, the deliveries are on time, but there is one minor flaw. When you include a liquid, it often leaks from the containers used.

Mostly good

There are a lot of great menu choices. Some meals are fantastic, some are lacking but none have been horrible. My biggest complaint is that the soups generally have a watery taste (adding water to concentrate and cooking for less than 15 minutes just doesn't make for great taste) and some of the dinners are short on sauce. For example, last night I made a Chinese dish and there was so little sauce that it was barely noticeable.

Overall - Just Okay, but..

Overall, Gobble is okay.

Pros:
- Each meal only takes a max of 15 minutes to cook total.
- Ingredients are in separate packaging and in bags divided per meal!
- Easy to follow instructions
- Minimal extra Ingredients from your home.

Cons:
- They only have meals for up to 4 people. So larger families will not find this good on a budget. It is expensive.
- Ingredients are often missing from the bags.
- Ingredients leak into the bag every single box, each week.
- Lettuce never stays good
- Tomatoes are never ripe
- I've found little flies ALIVE in the bags lately.
- ice packs need to be non-toxic and okay to put down drain
- Not many meals are "American" or homestyle, kid-friendly recipes

Great quality meals but meal selection reminders are needed!

I absolutely love the meals & high quality ingredients. The flavors are better than the competition, therefore I’ve been willing to pay a little extra (Gobble is more expensive for our family than HomeChef).

However there are enough things that they could easily fix but don’t - that make me subtract 2 stars.
1. Their earliest delivery is Tuesday. We need our meals to arrive on Monday, as we can with HomeChef.
2. There is no email reminder before the weekly delivery is locked in, so if you forget to manage your delivery you’ll just get some random meals. I cannot understand why they don’t fix this - such an easy fix! I understand their lucrative strategy of just not wanting people to skip any weeks, but once the random meal pick happens 1-2x and you have a bunch of meals you don’t like / cannot eat - you’ll end up canceling your account, which leads to much more revenue loss! This happened for the 2nd time this week, and we had enough and will be canceling.
3. There is no time-to-cook estimate printed on the menu cards - or “prepare within x days” like their competitors do.
4. I love that they list a full ingredient list on their website, but why not on the menu cards ? There is plenty of room below the chef’s tip. It’s annoying having to search the website as I’m cooking (we have food allergies in the family).
5. The menu cards are thrown into the food bags, making them soggy and bent upon delivery. Just place them by themselves in the box.
6. They make it really hard to skip a delivery. I have to click through multiple prompts and “are you sure?” and this gets very annoying when you are trying to cancel in a hurry.

We really like our gobble boxes

We really like our gobble boxes. Before quality control with the vegetables and herbs was an issue, but it’s been overall a very positive experience this year. The customer service department is highly rated and address is concerns in a timely fashion. I feel like they legitimately report my concerns and it has gotten pretty smooth for what we are looking to get out of a meal delivery service. I have tried eight delivery services now and gobble has been the best..
