NOT custom irons -

My husband ordered 2025 Taylor Made irons online from Golf Galaxy the first week of February which said 2 day shipping. 4 days later we did not receive a tracking number so we ordered 2026 Taylor Made irons from somewhere else and received them in 2 days. We called to cancel the 2025 irons from Golf Galaxy and were told we couldn't cancel because they were processing and that we could return them after we received them. We finally got them a month and a half later so I called to return and it said my item was ineligible for return because they were custom made. How can an online order be custom made is beyond me.... I was told on the phone that they could refund me $200 and that I could do whatever I wanted with the irons. (We paid almost $1100.00 for the irons) My husband made a second call and was also told that the irons were custom made and could not be returned. When my husband asked to speak with a manager the representative on the phone said to return the irons to a Golf Galaxy, which we do not have one in our area. The call was then disconnected. After some research I found out that Golf Galaxy and Dicks Sporting Goods are somehow connected. I returned the irons to Dicks Sporting Goods but only received $948.00 back without an explanation why I did not receive the full amount paid. A very unpleasant experience as they should have let us cancel the order initially and this could all have been avoided. The 2 day shipping was false advertising as was the statement of "custom irons".

I went to Golf Galaxy Virginia Beach this morning to try to get some clubs re-gripped. I was met by a store associate and she informed me that the club guy did not come in until 10 am. I said that would be busy at that time and would not be able to come back. She did not ask if she could help instead she rudely walked away from me and started talking with another store associate. Would it have been to hard for her to ask what I needed as I already had the grips in hand that I wanted, all she would have had to do was to ring me up and leave a note for the club guy to call me when they were done, but I guess she didn't care enough about actually doing her job. We need more golf stores in Virginia Beach so that we do not have to rely on this place. Oh and this is the same woman that sold me my golf clubs at this store.

If they could get a ZERO they would get one. I will never use golfgalaxy online again, nor recommend them for business. I ordered a clikgear push cart from them. Paid for it. Yet it was never received and the tracking for the delivery reflected another state across the country instead of my delivery address in Cali. After speaking with three separate customer service representatives, and being told the tracking and delivery address was updated or corrected, still no item delivered. I’m very disappointed and frustrated as I’ve been getting the run around. A week later I am now requesting a refund to take my business elsewhere. AMAZON would have had the item the next day, but I went with golf galaxy instead. Lesson learned, never again.

Come on man!!!

We were trying to rent a simulator and when we asked were told that people were coming in at 5 PM. We proceed to stay until 5:45 and no more people showed up. There were 3 bays open.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Ordered a $2,600 set of golf clubs online. And the irons showed up left handed instead of right handed. When I called into support, she told me my only option is to drive out to the store that screwed it up (25 minutes one way) and make a manual exchange. If I wanted to do that, I would have done that instead of ordering online. What a joke. Terrible service.

I had a fitting yesterday and Andy N. did a good job. I purchased a Ping G440 iron set, What i did not like is that i now have to wait 3-4 weeks to get the clubs. I can't believe that with all of the clubs that they have there they could not find a set that i could bring home. I wish there was a way that i could get my money back

Poor customer service

Didn’t give me what I ordered and they refuse to make it right. I went there and bought clubs and it took me a month to notice he gave me the wrong clubs.

Golf Galaxy -- fitting and honoring discount

My women's league partnered with Golf Galaxy and had a joint event, at which time Golf Galaxy offered members 20% on everything, including clubs. I told them that I wanted a full set up clubs and they said that if I signed up for a fitting that night, that they would honor the 20% discount whenever I purchased my clubs. I was thrilled! After the first fitting, we selected PING irons, only for the fitter to tell me that PING is not part of the 20% discount. OK, I decided, when I purchased my full set, to buy the PING clubs even though they were at full price. Then, onto my 2nd fitting for woods and hybrids. I told the fitter that I wanted to try a different brand so that I could take advantage of the 20% discount. So we spent over an hour swinging clubs that he brought me and I settled on Callaway Reva Rise. When asked how much, the fitter went to speak to someone and came back and said that he can't give me the discount on these either!! What? Nothing I was purchasing was eligible for the discount?? Absurd! So I asked to speak to the manager. I told him how disappointed I was because I was ready to purchase over $2000 worth of clubs today! I asked him which brands would be eligible for the discount and he said none of the newer sets. "Maybe", if I purchased an old set that came out years ago, but he wasn't even emphatic about that! I asked, then why was I fitted for clubs that wouldn't be eligible for the discount and why would I waste hours of my time! No answer and honestly, no concern! Golf Galaxy lost a customer who would have spent thousands of dollars in their store but honestly, it didn't even phase the manager!

Wrong Golf Clubs delivered, no customer satisfaction

I bought a set of clubs from Golf Galaxy few years ago at a cost of over $1,000. I had them semi custom fitted and ordered them with a shaft and clubhead that I was fitted for. The shaft was a regular flex graphite shaft. Recently, while taking a lesson, my instructor looked at the shaft and said it was a senior shaft which did not match my swing. Obviously golf Galaxy delivered the wrong clubs. I called customer service and they could do nothing for me. You would think they would at least provide me new shafts or give me a discount on new clubs. Another example of not standing behind your brand.

Signed up for text alerts to get 15%…

Signed up for text alerts to get 15% discount and at checkout was told clubs are price protected so no discount. Spent so much money over the years between clubs,putters,ect. Why give coupons if they won't be honored!

Horrible place to shop online

This place is horrible for online shopping. Placed an order paid for extra shipping told it would be here by certain date and nothing. Called and was told they can't cancel my order and basically I have to just sit back and wait. Thought Golf was a sport of Trust Honesty and Dignity? Guess I was wrong shouldn't take people's money by giving empty promises actually LIES.

I was in the market for an Orange Whip…

I'm in the market for an Orange Whip mid-size, and the closest Golf Galaxy that had it was 45 miles away. They had 3 in stock, so I took a ride to pick one up. I was pleased to see it and went to pay for, but when they scanned it the cashier said they could not sell it to me due to the product being recalled. If there is a recall of the product, why do they advertise on their website? I drove 90 miles round trip for nothing. I have shopped at Golf Galaxy before, and the people have always been pleasant and helpful. I get their text messages for deals which is nice and have taken advantage of the deals, but my recent experience was very frustrating.

Still not a single call or simple acknowledgement. But I heard through the grape vine from someone who works there what really happened so I’m no longer worried but want to price a point and having the dash cameras and inner camera settles it’s just when will they contact me?????Zzzzzzz

Golf Galaxy Online Documentation is Lacking

I went to a brick and mortar store and the staff were super helpful in getting me what I was wanting and placing the order online at the store. It was after I got home and initiated a chat to ask for an invoice that things went sour. I needed an actual invoice, not the order information, for a reimbursement. While polite, it seemed as though I was 'putting them out' with my request which never got fulfilled to my satisfaction. At one point, I asked what I needed to do to cancel the order and was told that the 'remorse period' had expired. I had placed the order barely an hour prior and was told that the remorse period for cancelling was 30 minutes! Kinda ludicrous if you ask me. I'll probably have to jump through some additional hoops in order to receive my reimbursement due to the lack of adequate documentation from Golf Galaxy (at least the online portion). I do not purchase from them often and this solidifies that if I do in the future, it will be in-store only.

Poor Customer Service - Thanks Steve

I was in the Troy, MI Golf Galaxy (790 E Big Beaver Rd, Troy, MI 48083) on Sunday, Aug 11th, 2024 to shop for a few things, including some yellow Pro V1 golf balls (the website said the store had 1 box left). I have purchased many things over the years from this store, but not anymore.

As I was looking through the golf balls for this box of yellow Pro V1s, I accidentally dropped a box on the floor and it opened. As I'm picking them up, I hear "How are we doing over by the Pro V1s?" I looked up and it was an employee racing over to me, and his only question was "are you trying to move balls around to take all same number balls in one box?" to which I told him that I dropped the box & was just picking them back up and that I was looking for the one box of Yellow ones and that he shouldn't accuse me of something I wasn't doing.

I then gave him another chance to be polite and change his questioning to something helpful. So I again asked him, "Are you accusing me of trying to take all same number balls in one package?" to which he chose to double down on his accusation of me and replied "a lot of people do it so". Of course, while he's being loud and accusing me, I have other customers staring at us and walking away from the area as the employee is making me look like a thief.

It was at this point I decided I was no longer buying anything at this store, so I handed him the socks I was going to purchase and told him I do come in quite often & purchase a good amount from this store, but I will not be back because of him.

The employee was STEVE....the Manager.

From now on, I can shop for any of my golf equipment at Carls Golfland or the HUGE brand new PGA Tour Superstore in Novi Michigan.

John was a horrible customer service representative at the Cumberland Mall in Smytna Ga . When I walked in and presented my question, he answered me with extremely low tolerance and No! Then, later, I saw him humiliate three young black
Kids, I told him he was too loud. He was way too aggressive with the kids; then he told me aggressively that they were using $400 putters and scratching them. Then I told him there is a way to communicate with children. That was not the way…
It made me SICK! After reporting the incident to the GM, I'm not sure there may be much done… The other sales associates were fine. Robert was understanding and patient with me…I went to a lurch club for my daughter there. To show fairness that I wasn't shown. I may have been dumb, but I wanted to reveal a lesson for my daughter and them. Robert, again, was good, and that helped me make the purchase

Left handed clubs

Even though Golf Galaxy is owned by Dick's, I assumed that a golf "superstore" would have left handed clubs. I just left the Newark, DE store and saw 4 left handed drivers and one set of used irons. Frankly, I'm tired of being told that they can order whatever I want. I can do that myself. Maybe if you stocked left handed clubs you would sell more.
