I needed a new pair of summer walking shoes. I was recommended GoOutdoors as a stockist of wider fitting shoes. I have problem feet and find it difficult for shoes to accommodate bunion and hammer toe! Tom recommended 2 brands and patiently found me some examples to try. Some soles were too firm, need non slip, upper too soft; lots of desired qualities required. Tom spent a long time selecting various pairs for me to try. Then of course I like colour co ordination. He was so patient and addressed all my concerns, waterproof too ! Just retuned from holiday and delighted that I could walk in Pompeii and cover long distances without blisters, pain... they fitted so well.
Thanks to Tom who devoted time and expertise to select the best walking shoes. I also joined Go and received some money off too. FAB

We were assisted by Tom on Saturday to buy a set of walking poles. He was extremely helpful and explained the difference between makes and types of poles which enabled us to make an informed decision.

I enjoyed my visit to this store last Saturday morning. I wanted to replace an old pair of walking boots and Eve, the assistant, took the time and trouble to listen carefully to my requirements and to find the right footwear to meet my needs at the most advantageous price. She displayed excellent product knowledge and a genuine desire to help this customer. Thank you once again, Eve!

We popped into the Chester store yesterday to pick up a few items for our hiking trip. Paul was very friendly and helpful. He helped us find the things we needed and explained the membership option to us. Overall a very good experience.

We are walking the Wales coast path and starting from Chester. My husband found a split in his trusty walking boots so we found the Go outdoors shop in the centre. Eve who served us was so helpful and patient as my husband tried a few pairs of Merrell boots. She was polite and engaging and an excellent ambassador for Go outdoors. She was heading off for a break when we got to the cash desk but the lady who processed the purchase was also very friendly and helpful. A really pleasant experience.

Staff as ever were very helpful and knowledgeable about the products so we're able to help me choose.

I had some alternative choices in buying my product with a closely related price range the assistant asked me my preference and said this article he told me that was a bold choice and the one he would recommend although not the most expensive

Really helpful staff, made sure I knew how to fold down the chairs (they have a clip on the leg that I would never have found!) I didn't have my card so they searched for it for me. Excellent service.

A wide range of trail shoes, with some excellent member discounts. Rebecca was great, providing friendly and efficient service, juggling several shoppers to quickly help us get exactly what we wanted.

Went to buy a pair of mid walking boots. Had looked on one but needed to try them. Purchased North Ridge women’s mid walking boots. Fab boots comfortable from the start. Sales man was brilliant.Knew about all the brands and suggested other boots which I tried. No rush v helpful and knowledgeable. Store had all the sizes I needed to try on. Fantastic.

I did not have my card, Paul who served me, went out of his way to track it down and it had expired, he helped me re-apply and helped me purchase with his recommendation's the right/correct gear I wanted, thank you Paul
