Generally, the store is well stocked, produce varies in quality each time I go,
and the prices on quality chicken and grass fed beef are a little lower than
other stores.
However, what used to be a BARGAIN market, has raised prices consistently
over the past year, to the point that I quit going as often. OFTEN, there is no shelf price for an item. Roll of the dice if it's something you need. Today I bought
a large container of Chobani Greek Yougurt $5.99
When I got to my car, checked Walmart,
$5.97. I feel ripped off! Bargain? NOT.

I've been shopping this store since the first location in Novato was opened years ago. Since then locations in San Rafael and Marin City have opened. Along with rising inflation, I'm noticing that dependent upon item, lower prices have been replaced by some that are as high as Safeway though exceptions fortunately exist so I will continue visiting the store. That said, the produce quality isn't as high as mainstream and I've noticed a lack of refreshing stock. The Marin city store is the newest and during a recent visit, the bathroom was direly in need of cleaning, LOL

Dishonest scam company, placed order, immediately got email saying dispatched, 2 weeks later, after several emails, I got a reply saying out of stock and offering me to buy something else or refund.... Not holding my breath. Why did I have the chase them? They have stolen my money for nearly 3 weeks and still have it. Beware...
Absolute shysters

I visited Grocery Outlet in Lynnwood, WA both on 6/12 & 6/19. Not only are the products there great and have a great price, both times my cashier, Angelo and Jeremy, were super kind, professional and friendly. Thx for hiring such great people.

I had a very concerning experience at this Grocery Outlet location (7th Street, Long Beach).

When I entered the store, the security guard at the entrance stared at me in an intense and prolonged way that immediately made me feel uncomfortable. I tried to ignore it and continued shopping, but the behavior continued even after I made my purchase.

When I confronted the situation, the security guard became defensive and used explicit language toward me, including swearing. This escalated what should have been a normal visit into a very uncomfortable interaction.

I then asked to speak with a manager. A young employee who identified himself as the manager came over, and instead of addressing my concern seriously, he appeared to justify the security guard's behavior rather than de-escalate the situation or take the complaint seriously.

Overall, I felt disrespected and unwelcome in this store. The lack of professionalism from both the security staff and management was disappointing. I am sharing this so the company is aware of how this experience was handled and so improvements can be made. i have been shopping there for many years and will never go back there again.

This was my first time visiting, and I’ll admit I walked in with some preconceived notions about saving a lot of money. So here’s my honest take.
Let’s start with the name — OUTLET. Usually that means a wide selection and deep discounts. That wasn’t really the case here. The store had a smaller selection than I expected, and the prices didn’t reflect the big outlet‑style savings I thought I’d find. For example, one pound of ground beef was still $5, which is pretty much in line with regular grocery stores a can of Progresso Soup was $1.79 and advertised compared to $3.99 ..well the can was smaller than the other stores i usually visit so beware. I did save a few dollars overall, but nowhere near the $18 the receipt claimed.
Now for the positives — and the reason this is still a solid 3 star review. and without the these its a 2 star.
The store was clean, the employees were friendly, and the aisles were wide enough to comfortably navigate even with stocking pallets out. The produce looked fresh, and I did find a few quirky items you don’t see everywhere, which was a nice surprise.
I might be returning, just without the expectations I walked in with the first time.

I like this store far better than Aldi & Lidl, the prices are equally as good if not better & they have more of a variety of brands.

The staff at grocery outlet in el Centro California discriminate and follow you around like you’re a criminal. They make you feel uncomfortable. Never going there again.

In alameda CA the store is well organized, items are cheaper than other store . But be cautious, rates are some items misguiding, and few items are displayed, which are just to expire , I took Aleve 90 tabs bottle, quite cheap , 4 dollars, but expired after 10 days , that mean rest tablets I should thrown away 😢

Jill and all of the employees at the Oroville Dam Blvd. Location of Grocery Outlet are always very helpful and kind to me. I had a double mastectomy last summer and had alot of physical limitations for several weeks. They made sure i never lifted more than 5 lbs. While i healed. Helped me very much and I am forever grateful.

I asked for a plastic bag and even though I paid for it, they would only give me a paper bag with no handles.

I went to the one here in ohio at First I was very impressed telling family and friends that they should shop there I purchased.
A lot of groceries.
I did get the hamburger that was on sale ans i did save a few dollars it was cheaper.there now I see why the hamburger that I purchased as soon as i got the meat home and put it in the freezer I went in the store a few days after they opened on that 1st Saturday so I put the meat Directly in my freezer on that Saturday.
I took the hamburger out this past Tuesday and the packaging was bloated. Didn't think anything of it and defrosted the meat and it was still bloated. I took a knife and puncture the tube and oh my goodness my whole kitchen and dining room smelled like SPOILED MEAT The stench was terrible so I toot the other pack out of my freezer and put both packs of the spoiled meat in a ziploc bag? I have been calling and calling and calling the store without getting an answer. The store is about 25 minutes away from my home. I'm not going to take it back. I just wanted them to know that the hamburger was spoiled. And I'm quite sure that I'm not the only customer that experienced this. I will not be going back. I will be deleting the app.
And I will not be referring them to anyone. Very.
Disappointed.
I don't even want a refund. I am a very Satisfied customer I will not be wasting my gas or time to ever go to this store again

If I could give it less than a 1 rating I would. Trying to create an account is IMPOSSIBLE, A lot of times they are more expensive that other grocery stores.

Don't buy half and half. I've been steadily buying it and it always leaks messing up my refrigerator. Also it's always on the edge of spoiling. No more buying half and half

Sadly I will be looking for another store. I've learned some things regarding the work environment and am so upset at the exploitation of the employees. They really treat them like dictators . I can't support that I am all about treating people fairly and humane. Being a boss is one thing but to take their livelihood is another.

Grocery Outlet prices in Las Vegas are rising and are almost equal to regular grocery prices.

Additionally, the dairy items have soured very fast. I won’t be going again.

In summary, it appears that you pay slightly less for items that are about to expire. The quality of the produce and dairy is lacking.

Your commercials are rediculas and inaccurate.

Friendly staff but need better product variety

I have visited only two Grocery Outlets both in Philly but in two different sections of the city one more upscale. But what I found where the both had food where the date would expire soon. So if you not going to eat the food with a month or so, no need to buy. They had food designed for Christmas in March. This type of food should be sent to the food bank.

This review is for the Grocery Outlet phone app. The app is atrocious, and opts you in to marketing emails. When you want to opt out of marketing emails, it tells you to sign into your GO account, but GO has no record of me having an account, even though I have their app. This means that on any given day, I receive 3 or 4 spam emails from GO which I cannot disable in any way. Gmail's spam blocker doesn't work, reporting spam and unsubscribing doesn't work, I can't log in to any sort of account, and the checkbox for opting in to marketing and PR emails has disappeared from my app.

Even worse, while the app does enter you to win national sweepstakes, it doesn't actually submit your name into store-specific drawings to win what you saved, as it implies it does when you sign up. Nor does it accurately track individual store inventory levels, so if you want to know if they have an item in stock, you have to call that store and ask an associate.
