I am currently stranded in Goa for…

I am currently stranded in Goa for another 18 days I am trying to email ref duty of care.. hotels. Food etc.. I have tried cutomer.care address and e.customer address both have bounced back. The help centre online just sends me round in circles..trying to get back to the uk..any help or suggestions please..how do I put something in writing to these people

Pathetic

My flight GF65 on 28 Feb. from BOM heading to London via stopover in Bahrain. The app allowed me to do online check in at 4:30 pm and issued me boarding passes. The Flight status continued to show “on time” even after the departure time! 3 hr running around at the airport, only to find out eventually that due to airspace closure the flights was cancelled. no clear information, no rebooking options, and rude ground staff. Unacceptable service.
There has been next to no communication from Gulf Air yet even after 48 hrs. I was given 2 numbers to call by the ground staff. The local Number went straight into a voicemail saying office was closed due to holiday. The other number was of Bahrain. International call charges, wasted time with no response from either of the numbers. No communication yet re. rebookings or our options. Pathetic services.

No customer service.

Abysmal, non-existent customer services. We were left stranded at Manchester Airport yesterday due to the situation in the Middle East. I realise that the airspace being closed isn't Gulf Air's fault, but they refused to cancel our flight and just made us all hang around from 07:00 - 16:00. In that time, Emirates cancelled 2 flights, Etihad and Qatar both cancelled one each, allowing their passenger time to make other arrangements. At no point was anyone from Gulf Air available, and they disabled their UK phone lines. Eventually, Manchester airport staff collected us all together and told us to collect our bags and go home. There was no offer of help, people we left stranded as the UK isn't their home, and again no one at all from Gulf air was available with in-person or via phone or email. Abysmal service and definitely an airline to be avoided. I finally received a text message at 21.02 telling me my flight had been cancelled, 5 hrs after I arrived back home and 11 ish hours after we should have departed. I now have the headache of trying to obtain a refund as they aren't answering their phones or email / chats.

More than a complaint, this could of become a situation of National Security!

I arrived at checkin, and spent 90 minutes at the checkin counter, including repeated visits. The Gulf Air representatives complained about my weight of luggage, I explained that this was heavier coming from London because of Christmas, they said it was not possible to travel with this weight, I showed them my baggage tags, they said London made a mistake, and I complained. They said unless you pay $150.00 dollars immediately I was not going to travel. They took my luggage to one side and refused to check me in.

They then said, i need to take our 7 kg from one case, so I did, then they said you need to throw away your belongings, because you cannot travel on the aircraft.

I then completed this task, I was given boarding passes, and I proceeded to immigration, I was chased by Gulf Air airline personnel, police and was told I was no going to travel.

I had a full blown argument with Gulf Air personnel, and now I must pay $125.00 or be left in Columbo, these are the rules.

I paid $125.00 to get my flight.

This is nothing short of personal harassment and incompetency, with no idea as an airline how to communicate or treat customers.

I travel 80 times a year on multiple airlines in multiple jurisdictions, I have never been treated with so much disrespect - Gulf Air is a liability to society and the airline community.

I paid for my flight, for 35kg of luggage, my seats and apart from nearly getting arrested, another $125.00

Do NOT use this airline at any cost.

Flying on GFa251 from Dhaka to Bahrain

Flying on GFa251 from Dhaka to Bahrain, 05/02/2026, this is the 6th time traveling with gulf air and worst experience ever, due to having dry cough i have pulled service andon after departure once seat bealt sign went off for water, waited about 40min but no one came or be found. I had to walk from front to back to find a crew first of all. Once found i have only asked is there any way to call you or any way to get your attention as i am with my 3year old son, the polish looking (only european) cabin crew said you can always come and get it as if she forgot her job to respond on service . I have been coughing really bad and from row 9 to walk till back of the plane while coughing everytime i need water, not sure how she suggested that. After that they served lunch and since then till next 2hours i have requested a cup of coffee to several different cabin crew including the rude european one and got nothing, once she came in and said seat belt sign is on unable to serve but the very moment other crews are carrying cups and mug all over my heads. Anyway i abide by the rules and waited for seat belt sign to go off, but no even then i had to ask someone she said i thought you are served, i said no unfortunately, then waited again with pulled service andon for another 15min but after getting no response i had to multi tap the service andon with frustration and someone came with a cup of almost cold coffee :), Only thing requested was a glass of water at first and a cup of coffee to keep my throat moisture so that i dont bother nearest passengers by coughing on and on, i am so annoyed that i am writing this review while on the flight. I beleive we should have this basic rights on flight to have water and necessary things like warm drinks right when we request. Dont fly if you want to avoid similar experience.

Recently flew 6nov 25 Manchester to Bahrain to Bangkok no problems everything was good staff very helpful. On the 29nov Return journey Bangkok to Bahrain no problems our flight from Bahrain to Manchester had a long delay while that was not good Gulf air provided hotel. food.and transport to and from airport .Thankyou

Only airline I've ever had an issue with

Most neglectful staff I've ever had to deal with, and I am not a person who needs full attention. Following issues at the aiport, they basically washed their hands of us and refused to help in any way. The check-in staff just dally around. A "supervisor" was eventually called (after he picked up the phone after 3 attempts) and then turned up another 20 minutes later (because, you know, airports aren't urgent at all /sarcasm). He then said one sentence and basically stopped trying to help. All the staff then vanished halfway through helping us, effectively leaving us abandoned at their desk with no help. It then took them 3 hours to retrieve a bag for me... which they in fact did not actually end up retrieving and I had to get security and a helpdesk to solve the issue for me, which took 3 hours. We ended up missing our flight.

These people do not care about their customers at all and also forget their own policies. Do not use them. Even if they're the only airline going where you want to go, just go somewhere else, otherwise book with anyone else.

They don't care about you, only the money you've already given them and can never get back. Fund an airline who actually care about their passengers.

Daylight Robbery

Purchased flights with them a few months ago. Went to check in and somehow ended up playing 50% of a fare cost on seats for 1/2 legs. The other automatically allocated. Not once through the whole booking process did it give a total or amount to be charged so that I could have gone back or changed it. I immediately messaged their customer support, their response ‘no refunds’. I’ve never flown with them before and fly a lot, I will never use them again. Not looking forward to the flights.

Absolutely avoid!
I changed my flight to a wrong date accidentally, called them immediately to try and get this resolved but 0 help or co-operation offered from their end. Essentially paying double now for the same flight but never in a million years would I recommend anyone to use them going off of this experience. If you do choose to fly with them because it costs you less or anything be prepared to receive 0 service if anything goes wrong

Bad service and very bad food

I called the flight attendant many times but still they ignored it, and after a long time they came and turned off the calling button and went away. The entertainment system was not working. The was also not good, after eating it, all of us had our stomachs upset, and the food did not have any taste.

My personal experience on May 2025 is great.. travelled to and fro from London to Hyderabad via bahrain.
Best deal for the price.
Bahrain airport transfers are less than 45.mins and kids play zone is too good.
Pilots are great, haven't experienced any ear pain in all 4 flights.
Had a issue with one of the bag and team dealt in minutes at Heathrow. Loved it.

Deeply Disappointed – Served Non-Vegetarian Despite Religious Request, No Real Apology or Compensation

I am writing this review to share a deeply distressing experience I had with Gulf Air on flight GF0130 from Bahrain to Delhi on 26 April 2025.

As someone who strictly follows a vegetarian diet due to religious beliefs, I had requested a vegetarian meal well in advance of my flight. Despite this, I was shockingly served non-vegetarian food on board. I only realized it after taking a bite—causing me immense emotional, spiritual, and psychological distress. For someone who avoids meat for religious reasons, this is not just a mistake—it’s a serious violation.

I immediately informed the crew and raised the issue with Gulf Air’s customer service after the flight. After several emails back and forth, they simply acknowledged the “oversight” and offered me 3,000 frequent flyer miles as a goodwill gesture. When I explained that this doesn’t come close to addressing the emotional and religious impact of the incident, they refused to increase or reconsider the offer. In fact, they eventually stopped engaging meaningfully and closed the matter with a generic response.

This isn’t about money or free miles. It’s about respect, responsibility, and accountability—values that were sorely missing in how Gulf Air handled my situation. If your airline offers special meal options, you have a duty to honor them, especially when they relate to religious or cultural practices.

I am sharing this publicly because I believe passengers deserve to know the risks when flying with an airline that does not take such matters seriously. If you follow any dietary or religious restrictions, please be aware of the potential consequences and Gulf Air’s inadequate response if something goes wrong.

Refuse to compensate and refuse to provide evidence of why

I have flown with gulf air twice and both times the flights have been delayed. The second time was the worst airline experience I have ever experienced. They were delayed for 6 hours and still allowed us to board. We waited on the plane for 3 hours and finally they cancelled the flight without giving an explanation. We had to wait another 12 hours in the airport for our next rebooked flight. They only gave us one meal voucher.
After the staff telling us that we would be compensated for this cancellation - the customer team via email is now telling us it was due to 'lightening strikes' and refuse to compensate us. The skies were clear and calm. The company refuses to offer evidence of these ' lightening strikes' when asked too.
In summary, I would NOT recommend anyone to use this airline if they want to get to their destination on time or actually receive the compensation they deserve when flights are cancelled/ delayed. Extremely poor experience.

Flight cancelled and after that delayed

Gulf air Manchester to Bahrain on 21 march 2025.Flight was cancelled then Delayed by 7 hours.
After security checking airline changed time and I had to wait over night at airport. However I had boarding pass with 7:55 pm but flight departure next day near about 2 am morning.

I recently travelled with Gulf Air

I recently travelled with Gulf Air, London Heathrow to Dubai, via Bahrain. The outbound journey was perfect, very quick luggage check in, flight left on time, arrived in Bahrain on time. We were quickly ushered to connecting flight, which also arrived on time in Dubai. The crew were courteous and the food and drinks were good.
Had the same experience on the journey back to Heathrow via Bahrain. Everything was absolutely fine and ran on time, until we were diverted to Frankfurt due to the Heathrow fire. The initial on the ground communication from Gulf Air was dire, however, we were taken to the airport hotel and taken back to our plane later the same day. I cannot fault Gulf Air at all on all four flights, but staff on the ground at Frankfurt Airport could certainly improve their communication skills should there be another similar incident. However, I do understand the special circumstances out of their control.
I would certainly travel with Gulf Air again, they were brilliant, so don't be put off by negative reviews.
