Clunky but functional
Have used a couple of times and I've sold my guns so it works but the process of uploading is clunky. It's also hard to actually find your specific gun in a search. Obviously works but in today's world, guntrader need to invest in some more user friendly software. I think it survives because it's a niche but it's open to a competitor to move in with a slicker system.

There’s always a problem with this site…
There’s always a problem with this site it use to be uploading photos now it’s the new or used part always puts new and you are not given the choice and getting onto putting a ad for equipment keeps going to guns! but the worst part of inserting a ad for scopes is the list of manufacturers is far (there just isn’t that many scope manufacturers)to long and one is make is missing (Immersive) so your IT person is seriously lacking and needs replacing for someone who knows what airguns and equipment is about !

Easy to use
Easy to use, but think if you allowed feedback on people's buying and selling experiences on your site it would help against scamming. I sold many on FreeAds and it came up with your profile of how many you have sold and bought plus feedback...great idea, but you and gunstar dont use anything similar.

Not only did Guntrader have a breach…
Not only did Guntrader have a breach within the security of their site and lots of users names and addresses compromised but their website is still taking money for ads yet it seems no one can be bothered to take down the hundreds of adverts that are no longer needed in the listings as the items have been sold for in some cases many months.
Guntrader staff don't bother to reply to emails either it seems when querying an issue, shame really but then again there are other sales sites that do and give the option of hiding sold items.
Again if a company valued their customers they would take the time to respond and then frustration from the consumer would not feel like the only avenue they have to complain or get some form of correspondence is to leave a negative reply on Trustpilot.

Regarding the data breach you mentioned, this occurred a long time ago under previous ownership. Since then, the company has changed significantly and we’ve invested heavily in improved security measures and systems. Protecting our users’ data is something we take extremely seriously, and we want to reassure you that robust safeguards are now firmly in place.
I’m a little unclear about the concern around adverts remaining live. All adverts are paid for on a one-month basis when placed. If an item sells within that period, sellers have the option to mark it as “sold” directly from their account. If they don’t, the advert will automatically expire and be removed from the site at the end of the month. With over 30,000 active adverts on the platform, this automated process is essential and works successfully for the vast majority of listings.
We do apologise if you haven’t received a response to a previous email — that’s certainly not the experience we want anyone to have. If you’re able to clarify exactly what issue you need help with, I’d be more than happy to assist directly. You may also find it quicker to give us a call so we can resolve things straight away.
We value our customers and are always happy to help, so please don’t hesitate to get back in touch so we can look into this properly for you.

I personally have been using GunTrader…
I personally have been using GunTrader for a number of years and have always found them to be very good.
The site is fairly easy to navigate especially for someone like me who is getting on in years.
I have no complaints at all and will always recommend GunTrader to others who are looking to sell guns or air rifles etc.

Trade version is not fit for purpose, years of system updates have been promised but never followed through staff make promises they can't keep and have poor knowledge of the system.

I want to clarify a few points and also offer some reassurance. The (RFD) Register has been in place for over 20 years and, while it isn’t perfect, it is actively used by hundreds of RFD dealers every day with minimal issues. The platform continues to evolve, and updates are being made on an ongoing basis.
I’ve personally been with the company for over 5 years and have worked hard in that time to gain as much knowledge of the system as possible so I can best support our dealers. We also have a dedicated development team working daily to improve both the register and the website, with the aim of making them as user-friendly and reliable as possible while balancing the needs of a large number of dealers.
With many hundreds of RFDs to support, some changes and requests can take longer than any of us would ideally like, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t being worked on or considered. If something has felt “promised” but not delivered, it may be a matter of timescales rather than a lack of follow-through.
I’m always here to help and to provide the best service I can, and I’m more than happy to discuss any specific issues or concerns directly so we can work towards a solution together.
Your feedback is important, and it does help shape future improvements.
