My husband and I have never been on a cruise before, we went into Hays travel Deal who were so helpful and spent time with us explaining all about cruising. We were shown a diagram of the ship and explained where the rooms were situated and the different rooms that were on offer. They went above and beyond to help us, will certainly recommend Hays travel.

The branch opening hours did not state Lunch time closure
The branch opening hours did not state a lunch time closure. We mentioned on Saturday (I would presume the busiest day of the week) that we were looking to book a holiday for 4 to Japan (approx. £20k+ spend) and were told that 'if we don't close we will not get a lunch hour'. We said 'ok, we'll come back in an hour then' to be told 'no, we haven't started yet'.
2 more people tried to go in after us and were also turned away.
Very poor show Hays Travel, losing the business for a sandwich. Linda Smith

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced when our branch was closed during your visit. I completely understand how frustrating that must have been.
While we do not routinely close for lunch, there are occasions where, due to staffing levels on the day, we need to close to ensure the safety and well being of our team and to maintain service standards. On this particular day, we had a team member in training and one colleague managing the bureau, which left us on two members of staff managing the shop, alongside significantly increased footfall and call volumes due to the recent news. In order to manage this safely and responsibly, we made the decision to close for lunch.
That said, we recognise that this may have been unexpected and inconvenient for you and for that I sincerely apologise. Because our staffing levels and operational demands can vary from day to day, it isn’t always possible to schedule or publish lunch closures in advance. Decisions are made on the day to ensure we can operate and provide the appropriate level of service.
On occasion, we may place a notice on the door while we complete service for the final customer in the shop. Once their request has been fulfilled, we will display a return time to advise customers when we will reopen, which is one hour from the time we leave for our lunch break.
We truly value your custom and hope you’ll give us another opportunity to provide you with the service you expect from us. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me directly on 01304 750034.
