Let's make it simple: EXTREMELY POOR CHOICE for Medicare Cigna PDP. By mistake doctors office sent a prescription to mail order pharmacy while local CVS kept sending messages that they can't fill my prescription every few days. I called doctor's office & that's when I found where my prescription went & they suggested for me to wait a little longer. I waited for a week & decided to call mail order pharmacy & guess what now I'll be waiting even longer because they didn't contact either doctors office or me to let us know that pre-auth is expired & they need a new one. This is NOT the way you deal with old people dependable on their meds. This is negligence & this can literally cause health issues. If I could rate this pharmacy 0 I would

I currently use this company for my Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP), and think that they deserve an failing grade overall. My pluses and minuses are below:

Pluses:

1)They don't charge a monthly premium for my Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP).

2) They process refills of medication fairly quickly.

Minuses:

1) They don't offer email or fax communication.

2) They have a chat platform available, but normally expect you to call for almost all inquiries. When I chatted recently, the chat agent didn't help one bit and was kind of rude. I hate phone calls for many reasons, including long waits on the line, trouble communicating with foreigners who have poor English and calls offer zero documentation.

3) The costs for their prescription drugs are more expensive than what their predecessor company, Cigna charged. Ever since HealthSpring took over Cigna this year, things have really gone downhill.

4) Yesterday, I received a denial letter of my Medicare Supplement Plan application with HealthSpring. Their denial was based on bogus information they received from a Millman IntelliScript consumer report. The bogus information is that Millman IntelliScript claims I am currently taking Risperidone for Bipolar Disorder. I stopped taking that medication over a year ago, and it shows this in my PCP portal under the "Medication" tab. I had submitted this to HealthSpring too. My doctor faxed an appeal letter to HealthSpring on 8/17/26, but HealthSpring claimed they never received it.

My opinion is that HealthSpring should not use consumer reports from Millman IntelliScript or any company. They should simply contact the PCP for the most reliable medical information.

They deserve a -10 (Minus 10) 🌟 rating. A 1 star 🌟 rating is way too good for them! I definitely don't recommend HealthSpring to others, especially for their Medicare Supplement Insurance.
