It’s taken a while for me to decide to right to let people out there just how disappointed I feel with home estate agents lack of achievement! I had previously sold my property 4 years prior at 270 k and several after it , mine being the best plot in our small private cul-de-sac was a sought after property .

When home estates came to try and get me on board they promised me to try their very best to achieve min 280 k ( which I was adamant about ) to 290 as opposite me had sold 280 6 months prior with a north facing garden ! ,mine was south which meant I had sun ☀️ so obviously major factor also .
There was nothing property wise locally compared to mine for space orientation and a plot of land included exactly the same size as my house was built on ,as I say a rare find never seen another in new Brighton like it plus garage and a path for parking for 6 cars etc

Home eventually found me a potential buyer that low balled me 260 k and home had the audacity to offer me this !.
Obviously I told home no , they came back 265 then eventually last and final offer 270 saying that is ALL buyer can afford , they then got quite pushy in my view saying buyer needed to know asap and he was in the best position no chain and don’t lose him .

Having felt being backed into a corner I told home yet again all that I had spent recently, in particular thousands spent on top quality fencing all way round ., still, no go its 270 k he can’t afford any more he’s maxxed out on mortgage no more savings nor could home find him a better mortgage deal to meet the 280 apparently, told me don’t miss out on this sale .

Very reservedly I felt I had no choice but to accept 😞

Sale agreed , then home on asking if I would leave £800 worth of fittings , I said can he offer me anything by separate negotiations ,NO and again he can’t afford it . I agreed to leave them so as not to lose sale .

Contacts exchanged , just before completion buyer wanted to view and did , I asked him why in that he loved the house that he wouldn’t give me the min 280 he said he was told needed ALL new fencing !!! and other bits ? I had stressed to home regards the new fencing constantly and that there was no mention of this in description amongst other missed out bits pics not so good and some missed out .

Seems HOME do not pay enough attention to finer details that could have generated the sellers price wanted , feel home just went for the most guaranteed quickest sale and they got it nailed .

Low and behold ,it’s only been a few months since moved out ,drove past other day brand new front door brand new made to measure super wide gates ££££ neighbours tell me new carpets ,had new bathroom new kitchen and god knows what else .

Point I'm trying to make is ,after all the promises to get me to go with them as a very small caring estate agent who tries that bit harder they did not .

Would not recommend or use again unfortunately.

Ellie at Home in West Kirby was very affable which put us, as buyers, at ease. She remembered key details which personalized the experience.

Had like to thank Mr James price and all the staff at home westkirby James as been a god send he is very helpful with evey matter and nothing is a problem to him had recommended him to help with any matter to do with your property or legal matters and knows is job very well thanks again and home its self have a very good service with there customers thanks again James and staff Keith & Kate Westkirby

The after sales process was great, Megan really helpful, explained all processes, chased when needed and communicated really well with the buyer.

Our house sale was not easy but James, Amy and the whole staff at Home Estate Agents were exceptional. I’d highly recommend them for their communication, help and support - even under the most difficult of circumstances.

All the staff are very polite & courteous.
They pull out all the stops to get your property sold & find you a property.
They listened to what I was looking for & as soon as a property came along they matched it with my requirements.
Everything so far has been very smooth/efficient
. My house was sold in the first week & my purchase only a couple of weeks later. They kept me updated at all times.

We have been so impressed with Home from listing to completion. Megan in sales progression was wonderful, so professional, reassuring and proactive from the beginning. She provided us with regular updates, was instrumental in moving the chain along to completion and she was calm throughout the whole process removing the stress. Home Estate Agents in West Kirby, were knowledgeable, kind and gave great advice whilst we went through the process of selling our home. The sale was completed in record time, which even surprised us. Katy helped during the marketing stages and Megan in the sales progression. I would certainly recommend HOME.

Dreadful. I feel like I have been completely played against other buyers. Information was not passed on to the vendor and office staff were rude and unhelpful - went as far as deliberately ignoring calls and not picking up the phone. I will be actively avoiding any properties who list with this company. I highly recommend Phil at Market Street Homes as an alternative - very professional and easy to work with.

We would highly recommend Home Estate Agents. James has offered continued attention and support, regular updates and clear communication. Nothing has been too much trouble. James has been prompt in responding to queries, always professional and it has been fantastic to have him as point of contact , with the wonderful branch team supporting. We have been looked after and had the stress of the marketing process lifted from us, and we have confidence in the service provided. We have not felt rushed or pressured when considering the sale, and we have felt heard and understood. Thank you so much James and the team.

DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT!! Absolutely useless for property sellers. I phoned this joke of a company regarding two properties they had for sale; Montgomery Hill in Frankby & Black Horse Hill. They took over two weeks to arrange a viewing on the first one & it has now been three (3) weeks since I asked to view Black Horse Hill (West Kirby) & they have never been back in touch with me. Shockingly poor levels of customer service. Are your vendors in Black Horse Hill aware that someone has been trying for three (3) weeks to view their property? If you want to sell your home, do yourself a favour & give the listing to a competent Estate Agent & not these clowns. I have only given them one star as TrustPilot wouldn’t let me give them zero stars.

The home team offered an excellent service from start to finish, we could not fault them. Jonathan from the sales team was very informative giving us lots of information about properties that they had sold in our area, giving us an expected sale price which we were more than happy with.

The service we recieved from all home staff involved with our sale was exceptional, with our home being taken off the market in less than 4 weeks.

Really friendly & helpful company

I have recently sold and bought through HOME Estate agents in West kirby. I found them very professional and nothing was ever too much trouble ! Mike , Ricky and the team are amazing and made my experience as stress free as possible. I would definitely recommend 5* service on all levels thankyou !!

The Home team made us feel great right from the start with their warmth, friendly approach and professionalism. They listened to our needs and gave good advice - the property viewers were genuine and well briefed and the property went on the market on saturday and we had an offer in by monday!! Thank you for restoring my faith in the professionalism and passion of the estate agency industry on the Wirral.

Too often in the past I've been left disappointed with the lack luster and complacent approach of the so called "big" agents that form the Wirral estate agency cabal (you, and more importantly they, know who there are!)

From the outset, Home's recalibrated approach to selling homes from the moment I saw their website and arranged a meeting with Ricki, who was honest, open and refreshingly as far removed from a second hand car salesman as you can imagine. The creativity they put into their listings marks them head and shoulders above the competition. They have truly grasped the approach to marketing homes within the digital era. On their more expansive listings, their overall package including drone photography is nothing short of stunning.

From the moment you agree terms and listing particulars, that's when the gold edged service really kicks in. Amy was an absolute god send and was completely invested in how vital it was for me to dispose of my property, She really fought my corner and I loved the way she was more than happy to provide would-be purchasers with an occasionally much needed but polite reality check! No mistake about it, the guys at Home work for YOU the vendor and place YOUR interests first. That said, they'll always be approachable, accommodating and engaging to any prospective purchaser.

If you take only one thing from this review, is that it pays to do your due diligence and test the market and seek our the differentiators. Don't just engage the so-called big names due to their (largely unsubstantiated) reputations. Don't forget, these days, it's largely immaterial as to where the estate agents are based in proximity to the property you're selling. What is undeniable, is that it's what the agents are prepared to invest into you and your property in order to justify their fee which is completely key.
