Howdens - Tile Hill Opiniones 

Would give till hill branch/howdens 0 stars if possible. Our builder sent over what we wanted to this howdens, but then we went in for a design appointment with Kev who designed our kitchen. From the start I showed Kev pictures of how I wanted my pantry, with 4 bifolding doors not normal doors. Kev confirmed we could have this in our kitchen. Kev said he has been able to give us friends and family discount and to keep this we needed to pay a deposit that day otherwise it wouldn’t be granted, so we paid a deposit.

Got our kitchen delivered and we were provided with normal standard doors for the pantry. Our builder raised this with Howdens and they confirmed we could try and cut the 2 500 doors in half, however this chipped the paintwork. They then suggested giving us 3 300 doors and using a filler for the remaining 100, but this wasn’t what I asked for, the door we went for was shaker style.

I raised a complaint with Howdens to be told that the fault lies with our builder basically as Howdens are a trade only organisation and we should’ve checked the order prior to it being delivered.

If Howdens are a trade only organisations why did Kev call me on multiple occasions to discuss the kitchen. If they are a trade only organisations Kev should’ve contacted our builder, we never contacted Kev or Howdens once during the process, we always went through our builder to speak with Howdens. Practice what you preach.

We should’ve checked the order before it was delivered, the order doesn’t actually display any doors as they come with the cabinets so yes looking at the order you’d assume everything is fine. This is not our fault nor is it our builders.

After getting our response to our complaint we called and spoke to Alex the branch manager at Howdens and he confirmed that Kev said we never showed him photos of how we wanted the pantry doors. Why would we lie about something like this, had we of been told howdens weren’t able to provide it, why would we spend all our money on a brand new kitchen to not have it how we want it? Kev wanted to get a sale so it boosted his targets, during our design appointment he mentioned how he was behind on his targets and would get put onto a performance plan if he didn’t reach this, so clearly just wanted the sale and didn’t care about how we’d be left in the long run!

Although they’ve said the conversation didn’t take place (when it definitely did) they’ve still paid for our doors to be made. Which we’re thankful for, however still doesn’t take away the awful customer service we’ve received and the time spent on this issue and the stress it’s caused. Also that we’ve basically been called liars and that a conversation never took place despite it happening.

I would avoid this branch at all costs and go elsewhere, if we could do this again we would have used a different supplier. If you do end up having a design appointment with Kev, make sure you get stuff put in writing, that’s one thing I’ve now learnt is they don’t care about how it’s impacted you as long as they hit their sales and targets!

Just received the most amazing service from Kev and Tyler at Howdens Tile Hill. Kev drew our kitchen and made the drawings look exactly how we wanted it too. Tyler supported the offer and assisted to finalise our decision. Absolutely great price on our kitchen. Would highly recommend Howdens Tile Hill

After a bit of delay discussing issues, Howdens provided me with a replacement door. The original door had manufacturing flaws which were only obvious after you opened the door - after installing it. Howdens also took away the removed door and packing.

Really helpful nothing is to much trouble and at great competitive prices

Awful products - awful customer service from store to national customer services

The staff from the designer to the lads in the warehouse were very good and helped me if I asked any questions. The kitchen is nearly finished and is looking great. Marion designed it perfectly.
I will be getting another one soon for my sister.

Excellent quick service and had everything I needed

Where do I start? Bought a kitchen by recommendation at the Howdens store Tile Hill Coventry, got this during a sale Sept 2023, so made savings....but did I? Told the kitchen would be in storage until ready for fitting in our extension for our disabled daughter. We had problems with the designer of the kitchen when we had to change layout slightly, incorporating a refund of over £2,000, this we had to chase up with deputy manager, took three days. Paid Howdens storage company Del-X Express Delivery Limited, based in Market Harborough on 21.05.24 and expected my kitchen on Tues 28th at 0800. Never came...saying I hadn't paid...they lost the receipt and found it yesterday on the 28th, told my kitchen will be delivered this morning at 0800, nothing.....after eventually talking with the boss, David, got a cock and bull story saying they had no power in their building and so sorry will try for Thurs, will ring you....still waiting. Contacted Howdens who were quick to say not our responsibility, so passing the buck. BE WARNED DO NOT USE THIS HOWDENS STORE IN COVENTRY, they really don't care, but love to have your money. Absolutely appalling.

Better value elsewhere for smaller goods.

Unless they can rip you off dont bother going for a kitchen. As for their price match promise thats a joke as they dont honour it.

When taking out my account i specifically asked not to be phoned because last time i was plagued by phone calls.Infact the person who filled out the form ticked a box on the form saying no phone calls. So far i think in the three or so weeks that I've had the account I've been phoned about three times. Apart from this small issue I'm happy with the service.
