The Independent Opiniones 

Like the content, the news and opinions which I read and agree with some and not others. My problem is the site and accessing it which is irritating and often results in me leaving to read another online paper. I have never not had intrusive adverts and page hijacks despite paying the subscription fee. Recently been bombarded by full page blocking Ad demanding upgrading to premium. This tends to stop my access to the paper I paid to read.
It is not the content, quality and presentation when there are no interruptions . Sad for the journalists and contributors but this is going to frustrate and destroy this nice newspaper.

Totally biased one sided reporting. This isn’t news it is the personal opinions of a load of rambling out of touch journalists that work for a tatty media outlet that couldn’t survive as a printed paper and was forced to go internet based. Best thing would be for them to shut the whole thing down completely

Please stop forcing me to watch violence when I login to yahoo. You are autoplaying videos of mindless violence. That's not journalism and is very detrimental.

To busy being one sided, rubbish newspaper needs a re vamp asap!

Their reporting is far from independent and is completely biassed. Especially their reporting on Palestine, which always seems to be completely incorrect, unfactual and biased. I could not believe the way they reported the murder of one of their own, A reporter in Palestine. Furthermore I could not understand why they would report the Israeli police attack on the funeral procession in a way where it was the fault of the funeral procession when we can all see whats going on in the video. It amounts to lying! Why don't you report the thousands of children as young as 11 being arrested and abused in Israeli prisons by sick twisted Israeli's. This is a pathetic imitation of an independent news agency.

The only trick this news outlet capable of is to severely twisted the facts into click baits headline. Despite the name ‘The Independent’, it’s actually damaging our world to allow such media outlet to exist at all.

Once you get past the horrendous website, you're greeted with some of the most unashamedly biased and agenda peddled 'news' I have ever seen. Evidence - what's that?

Twist facts and stories, been reading them for a while and seen their stories start to exclude more and more facts purely to fit whatever narrative they're pushing.

Don't get brainwashed by this outlet.

One of the worst news websites I have ever visited. Not because of the content, but because of the terrible execution. Each article is surrounded by ads to the point that they infringe on the page and make the text unreadable and you can't even use an ad-blocker to get rid of them. Loud videos play immediately on loading a page, sometimes with no relevance to the article itself. The pages are so heavy that they literally will not load on my brand new smart phone.

The comments section is also a petri dish for right-wing posters. There are only a few posters but they spend all day posting under multiple aliases and abusing their multiple accounts to flag and remove any comments that disagree with them making the comments section unusable. The mods have no interest in dealing with these trolls as every time I have reported them over the last 4 years nothing has been done. On the contrary I have had 5 accounts banned over the last month but the mods are unable or unwilling to tell me exactly how I have broken their terms of service. Maybe they are just embarrassed I am doing their job for them?

If you are going to move a news site entirely online then look into how to do it properly and not just get the IT intern to slap it together on their lunch break.

Utterly useless website. Particularly on mobile. I make the mistake of going there sometimes thinking maybe I should read what the Independent has to say but stay maybe 5 minutes before I have to give up. Pop ups, adverts that hang around on Safari (iPhone) random-refreshes. Please sack your entire webteam who are clearly utterly bereft of any talent whatsoever and maybe your readers might stay longer. Currently it is 100% unusable on iOS safari - big shame

It's a website which promotes lies, hatred and fascism, and also fake news mostly supported by Conservatards and Tories. Such websites based on lies, false and biased informations must not exists.

Dreadful. Biased, poor quality journalism. They are more interested in their own hobby horses than facts. Waste of a tree.

Regime censorship tool, they ban news articles that contradict a blatantly criminal narrative and provide material assistance to Neo-NAZIS and Al Qaeda...
I will be taking them to court for their part in terrorism and free speech human rights crimes, they have a proven link to 77 brigade and Wragg MP will be investigating this rag...

Clunky. Poor search facility

I'm afraid the site is pretty much unusable with multiple pop ups including one that can't be removed or move and covers 25% the text. Such a shame as the printed version was great (going back some years now). I would recommend some independent (no pun intended) usability testing including mobile devices.

Independent News, Please sort out your useless website. I cannot read anything on your site because randomly you decide to refresh the page or put other item on the screen. This is particularly bad using an iPhone 13 (which is quite an up to date device)!

I am sure even a moron can design and implement a decent website without these errors. Which idiot is in charge of your digital strategy?

I can’t say if the articles are well written as I can’t stay on the site long enough to read anything. Sort it out please.

I would like to read this online news site but it’s almost impossible on a mobile due the advert resizing constantly shifting the reading position away from where you should be. Utterly frustrating when other online news sites avoid this.

The independant is one of the least independent media publications that is in existence

It’s constant use of its platform to encourage division and hate between cultures and nations it’s disgusting

I am encouraging all of those in support of free speech and against toxic bullying from the media to stand up and send a message to independent by leaving I will start review.

Note that it’s just rating is already 1.3 out of 5 a clear message that no one trusts publication

FAKE AND MALICIOUS JOURNALISM

The headline: "Death of Isis leader during US raid in Syria spells trouble for Turkey"

"The leader of the Islamic State, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi, was killed during a US raid on his home in Atmeh, northwest Syria, on Thursday. The house was reportedly located just a few hundred metres from a Turkish-controlled checkpoint and in a village that sits just a kilometre away from the Turkish border."

The newspaper blames Turkey for failing to take a military action against a terror member who resided in a different (sovereign) country.
So, according to the Independent, Turkey is responsible for such terrorism because the country borders on Syria (Iran and Iraq). The Independent seems to have forgotten that the US have military bases across the region and they are consistently expanding their presence across the globe (which I believe contributing towards the current political and economical crisis across the world.) And yet, they have often been unable to locate the whereabouts of terrorists even when they were within a walking distance from their base e.g. Mullah Omar...

What the Independent is failing to acknowledge is that the US and UK have made numberless mistakes which cost thousands of lives and created millions of displaced people and refugees. So, in this regard the USA and its allies are of course responsible to clean the mess they have caused. However, they are NOT so responsible when it comes to refugees, democracy, human rights, infrastructure of the region! Why should they be? They are rather busy exploiting the region's gas and oil reserves. The Independent says nothing about such matters and instead constantly blames a NATO ally who currently homes over 10 million displaced people and refuges from the region. One thing I agree with the Independent is that Turkey is not ruled by a good leader. So, I do hope they rid themselves of their current puppet government in the next elections and revive the foundations of democratic and secular country.
