I think the tour was very expensive for what we experienced. I had questionedabout seeing Hiroshima, I was told oh no problem you’ll be able to get a tour to go there. Well as it turned out, the timeframe was ridiculous. Very disappointed. A lot of wasted time.

Really efficient, helpful information, gave us the freedom to explore on our own but without the stress of having to organise everything.

Everything, choice of accommodation, hikes, pre booking of transport and flights. Absolutely no hitches. Highly recommend inside Japan tours.

Excellent guide, itinerary and fellow travelers!

I liked that we had the flexibility to select what we wanted the tour company to provide. Inside Japan provided accommodations and transportation for our trip to Japan. We also selected guided tours in Tokyo and Kyoto. We didn't have to select a full tour, making it a cost effective option for our trip to Japan.

We were a small group but all got on very well. Our Guide Brett was full of interesting information but didn't hurry us and always had an easy going demeanor - and always appeared relaxed and fully in control.

What a great trip my wife Jill and I had in Japan. So many great experiences and wonderful people we met and shared our trip with. Our Guide Fergal make the trip even better. His experiences, knowledge, humor, and friendliness was what kept our group so tight and wanting to spend time together.

Spent a little over two weeks in Japan and Inside Japan made this experience one WWE always talk about! . Everything was taken care of : hotels, transportation and selected guides. Just my husband and I and all was seamless and made this so easy; let's not even talk about the food!

Pre holiday planning was very smooth and advisors very helpful and knowledgeable. Communication (written and verbal) excellent both pre holiday and during. Accommodation and travel arrangements were as advised. Overall very happy with the service provided and resultant holiday.

The plans Inside Japan made for our trip were flawless. We received all of our tickets upon arrival at our hotel in Tokyo. Inside Japan went above and beyond when they reimbursed us for a cab ride we took to an American Clinic for them to look at my sore knee. Since we had missed our train to Niko that morning, they also reimbursed us for the replacement of the train ticket since our mobile hotspot malfunctioned, and we couldn’t use GPS to figure out where to go. They had a new mobile hotspot delivered to our hotel very quickly. All of our accommodations were wonderful, most included an extensive breakfast buffet. We especially loved our stay in Hakone, at a traditional Japanese Inn, that included breakfast and dinner.

First time that we took an organised tour
and we were not sorry
The organisation, the details, the guide, all were great

Did the tailor made self-guided trip to Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone, Hiroshima, Osaka and Takayama. Amazing trip and well organised by Inside Japan. We just had to turn up and travel on the right date. Everything was well laid out for us and having the wifi device made it a lot easier. Contact with the company was easy when in Japan too and the travel guides there were fab. I’d recommend to anyone who needs a ready made trip handed to them!

I’ve now done three trips planned by Inside Japan and all have been fantastic . I give them an outline of what is needed, and they always come up with great suggestions and insight into travelling in Japan. Communication with staff is excellent. You can request a guide for specific interests and places, and this has always been a success. I’ll be a return traveller for sure.

The itinerary was well thought out and explained in detail. All our requests were considered and met. There was not one hitch in our trip and the experience was as good as our first trip with Inside Japan. A huge shout out to our consultant Mark Beale

The trip was really well organised, no hitches. Accommodation choices were very good in terms of quality and location. The guides we had were excellent and we were happy with the itinerary.

The Inside Japan itinerary for the self-guided Honshu Hiking tour was easily adapted to include our interests and accommodation expectations, and the whole experience was fantastic. All sorts of details that we wouldn't have thought of were included. It was such an easy holiday to organise, but what a great adventure.

A small international group, that visited some fabulous locations, led by an excellent guide- we had a great holiday!

I have been on four trips with Inside Japan tours. One organised small group and three custom designed trips. I cannot speak more highly of this travel company and will only use them for travel in Japan. Planning the fifth trip now can't wait to get back there.

Inside Japan is not just another tour company. It provides a bespoke experience that is warm, varied and includes must-see places as well as off-the-beaten track. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour.
