I purchased a interstate battery six months ago battery no longer holds a charge called a few interstate dealers and they do not honor the warranty

A lack of honesty by these employees .I have my alternator and stater changed on my Mercedes to rule out a high parasitic draw possibility .Both the orginal startery would also notr work with the and alternator worked good .and so did the new ones .The new battery chargers were also bought but they did not work properly on the AGM INTERSTATE BATTERIES .I switched to a diferent brand and used a flooded lead acid battery instead and no more vehicle issues .Do not buy their product

Doesn't do any good to have a good product and make no effort on the service side to sell it. Take my business elsewhere

I bought a marine battery interstate from Costco and August 6, 2025 on 8 August 2026 I was on my boat and the marine battery went dead. I went on 12 August 2026 to complain about the dead battery from Costco. They told me to warranty was expired by six days, I would not buy that garbage battery again. I know years ago interstate had good batteries now they’re just garbage.

Interstate batteries are not what they where 5 years ago. I have several for my f250 trucks, in the past 2 weeks I've had to replace two batteries not even over a year old. Save the money and just buy one from autozone or oreillys. These batteries are over priced walmart batteries basically. Warranty exchange is like pulling teeth, forget the free replacement.

Company has changed from good manufacturer of batteries to Exide. What as one great battery company is completely out done by every other manufacturer.
Had 2 auto/ truck batteries fail in one year of each other . Most recent . Replaced 9 month old failed Costco Interstate H6. Not run down but failed do to internal plate failures.
This is what happens when companies think cost cutting a good product still works.

We out an interstate battery in a 2003 Chevy Silverado, which also had an interstate battery in it prior to this, it kept on losing the charge, but the truck sits quite a bit.

Regardless, it only lasted a short while, I kept having to connect it to the charger over and over then it finally gave up.

I had an old walmart battery that was in an old motorhome I never drive, I had pulled the battery out of the motorhome to charge it and it had been sitting in my shed for 2 years, this walmart battery was purchased back in 2019, 2-3 years older than the Interstate battery. The walmart battery is in the pickup truck and it works fine, even when it sits all winter.

Interstate batteries are horrible, even a low end bargain basement priced Walmart battery will outlast it at least twice as long!

Do not buy Interstate Batteries for your motorhome house. Bought the batteries February 2025 $569.40 for 2. Man who sold them to me from Car Care Express Ottawa Kansas said he wasn’t sure if the warranty was good for 2-4 yrs. & to keep my receipt. I had trickle charger on them over the winter. Every month checked the water level & in February 2026 I went to check them and one of the batteries had split open. Never done this before with other battery brands. I was told motorhome battery warranty is only good for 1 year thru interstate. The man today said that I can’t put trickle chargers on interstate batteries & there are other brands you CAN NOT use a trickle charger on. I didn’t buy new batteries from them, I drove an hour to RV shop bought 2 batteries with written warranty saying 3 yrs. $424.19. And people wonder why folks don’t shop small town businesses.

My Honda had to be jumped started. I drove over to the Oviedo Fl shop on 426. I have been buying there for years. Codie tested my current Interstate battery and found it was not up to spec. Codie did a great job of quickly replacing the battery with a new one and giving me a generous allowance towards the new battery

If I could give a negative 5 that would be more accurate. I went to the interstate battery on Broadway Rd. In Mesa Az. I had a battery that had a 6/25 sticker still under the one year warranty. The manager of the store took the battery to the back and came out and said that the battery was dead. I asked about the warranty and he said that there was no warranty. I really didn’t like his attitude as he was insisting I had put the sticker on it. Ok give me my battery back and I will go elsewhere. He brings the battery to me and the sticker is removed. I ask where the sticker is he says he threw it in the garage! If the battery was not under warranty fine I would have purchased another battery. But him accusing me of being dishonest honest was to far. I don’t like being lied to and treated like a criminal for simply trying to do a business transaction. I will never go to interstate battery again. I hope you have a better experience. The manager needs to go!

Codi, at Interstate Battery in Oviedo, Florida was extremely helpful in determining that my battery was N/G and finding a replacement quickly! I was back on the road within 15 minutes!

I use RV batteries then put them in the garage until next year. Seems like these things always go bad in 1-2 years

Bought a quick start interstate battery for my wife’s car ,after three days parked and the temperature dropped to -10 the battery froze ,totally useless,took it back and they did give me a new one ,after three months when the vehicle isn’t started for three days it needs a boost, it’s not the car as I took the battery out and charged it and set it on the bench for two days and checked the voltage down to ten volts ,I can see one bad battery but two “NO”these are cheap no good for nothing battery’s

Interstate Batteries are garbage and even AAA has discontinued their use recently, at least in my area. New battery, 2.5 years goes bad. Thanks for warranty. Received new battery 12/2/25. Now 1/7/26 battery dead. Thank you AAA for installing a 3rd battery in 3 years, and no longer Interstate!

Replaced my original 2018 Nissan Murano battery with an Interstate MTX-35 (AGM glass matte $$$) (the updated model has a different number now) on 4/7/2022. That battery died in 7 months. Warranty was good so replaced it on 11/8/2022. Replacement battery would not hold a charge end of November 2025. Warranty was good BUT they said this would be the last replacement battery they would give me. Replacement (new model number MTX-47/H5) installed 12/4/25. If this battery dies early, my next battery won't be Interstate. BTW, I live in an area of fairly mild weather San Jose, California.

I paid $700.00 for 2 AGM batteries for my handicap scooter first set lasted 8 months they replaced them and the second only lasted 9 months but would not replace them because only had 12 month warranty and that was a total of 17 months but in real the batteries should be12 months from the time you get them do not recommend

Bought a interstate battery for my honda foreman 4 wheeler thought I would spend a little more to get a quality battery purchased it in March and in October it went bad took it back to the dealership and was told it only had a 6 mo warranty and there wasn't anything he could do I've had cheaper batteries last 5yrs I'm done with interstate

INTERSTATE BATTERIES ARE CRAP. NEVER, EVER BUY ONE IF YOU WANT IT TO LAST MORE THAN EIGHT MONTHS. If I could give less than one star rating I would do that. We bought a marine battery for our boat on July 4, 2024. We put the boat away in September 2024 and brought the battery indoors as our mechanic recommended. We put the boat in the water in May 2025 after putting the battery on a trickler charger for a day. Within a month, the battery had failed. Dead. Nothing. I charged it. Thinking that I had left an accessory on. It was a brand new battery! It couldn’t fail! I thought. Two weeks later it failed again. I charged it again. Two weeks after that it failed again. I charged it again. And then just before we pulled the boat out of the water, in September 2025 it was dead again. So we charged it again and brought the boat to our boat Mechanic in late September for our annual fall maintenance. He told us the battery was dead. He told us the battery had a one year warranty, even though he insisted a year ago this was a great battery with a two year warranty and we should only buy from him. We paid $252.89 for a marine battery that died after eight months. Never again. Never ever buy a battery from Interstate Batteries – Canada, or US. You will regret it. As we do. I even called the company Interstate Batteries - Canada in mid October 2025 and explained the circumstances. 1-888-772-3600. Gee golly she says, you’re over the warranty period of 12 months, so go away. Nothing we can do. Not our problem. Good bye. Or words to that effect.
