We are truly very sorry about the inconvenience you experienced when the transfer of funds from one solicitor to another did not complete before close of business on a bank holiday weekend. However, we are not permitted to release keys until the transaction has completed. This is standard industry practice. However, we do hope this unfortunate start will not prevent you from enjoying your new home for many years to come.

I am very unhappy with Jones Homes. I have raise a formal complaint - escalation via your complaint procedure, which has not ever been acknowledged. I raised this via the customer service office. I have now asked for who I need to contact to actually have my complaint looked into and to deal with my issues. I find this very upsetting.

Cowboy builders who couldn't care less once they've got your money in their bank.
We had a terrible experience from the start, with pushy sales, misinformation on the assisted move which cost us £1,000.00 more than it would have done to sell out house with a local estate agent and missing extras we paid for months in advance.
Now 3 months of being in our house we still have a snagging list as long as my arm. Jones homes have been out to see us 7 times and all the issues have either not been touched or made worse.
I'm having to take unpaid time off work and half of the time they don't even turn up. They fob you off and are only out for themselves. I could keep going on about our experience and how bad they are, but I would be here for days writing my review.

Terrible company
Terrible company. We have had so many issues with our house, render cracking, flooding, staircase is falling apart, window and door handles all falling off, poorly fitted flooring (just a few of the issues). This is not just a 1 off, all the neighbours have also had the same issues. The products are cheap, the workmanship is poor and the customer service is even worse. We have issues raised on snagging before our 2 year end date that are ongoing and Jones Homes are refusing to do anything about. Even though the fault is with Jones for dragging it out because they dont get things done, you have to chase constantly. They couldn't care less once they've received your customer satisfaction survey. I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole. AVOID.

Thank you to the whole team for ensuring our move has been such a positive experience. We are delighted with the house, and are impressed with all members of the Jones team. Particular praise must go to Gail and Sam who ensured our completion day was so happy and special. Since moving in, we have been bowled over by the service we have received. No tiny snag is too much trouble, and the work is carried out quickly and professionally, with a caring attitude. Thank you!

Morally bankrupt liars
This company is a joke. I bought an apartment from them under the discount to open market value scheme, and whilst I was aware I would be paying maintenance charges for the upkeep of the areas surrounding the property, the fees they ask for are nothing short of ridiculous. The amount changes all the time, they add on services that were not asked for nor required, and they've even had the audacity to charge me for Land liability insurance, health and safety inspections and fire safety risk assessments. This is something a landlord is responsible for by law, yet they've passed the extortionate fees onto the buyers instead. When we challenged this, the maintenance company told us that Jones homes "hadn't given the correct information upon purchase and should have told you that your apartment is in fact a company, therefore you are required to cover the costs of risk assessments and insurance". Needless to say, I checked on Companies House and this was an outright lie. I challenged them and they continued to maintain that our entire street was a registered
company and we as buyers must foot their bills, and when I told them if they have set up a company in my name without my knowledge or consent, that is fraud, his response was to claim I signed up for this. I checked my contract and that absolutely was not the case, but according to them I bought a property from them and somehow ended up financially responsible for the upkeep and insurance for entire street. I have never heard anything so ridiculous.
Additonally, we had been paying into a reserve fund for 4 years, only to be told the £2000 we had paid into within that timeframe had somehow disappeared, so they are thieves as well as liars.
This company is morally bankrupt and an absolute disgrace and I would never buy from them again.

As you have indicated, as a leaseholder you pay certain landlord’s costs associated with the communal areas as per the terms of the lease. We instruct a managing agent to manage the development and to reassure you, they can only charge back to you costs that relate to the communal areas, and this will include costs such as insurances and health and safety risk assessments.
We are sorry that this has not been clearly explained to you and it is evident from your feedback that there has been some confusion caused by referring to ‘a company’ being set up.
With regards to other matters raised in the call that you had with the managing agent, the Associate Director responsible for this development will make contact with you this week to discuss further the concerns you have raised, including the queries you have raised regarding the reserves.
We trust this response reassures you of next steps and we trust the conversation with our managing agent this week will help clarify all questions that you have.

Excellent customer service and build quality
Excellent customer service, Gail looked after us really well and was a mine of useful information, steering us through the process expertly. The quality of the build is far superior to other new builds that we viewed and the building after care is excellent. Neil the site manager was really helpful.

From the monent of buying my home to moving in all went very smooth. Karen ( the sales lady) played a massive part with securing my home.
Jones Homes as a company are great and the houses they build are so attractive.
With regards to customer services i believe there is room for improvement.

No pushy sales and never felt pressured to proceed. Action taken straight away when small problems were reported.
Quality of our new home is much more than other builders we looked at. More space and more higher end items included as a standard e.g big shower head on showers
