Avoid key steps property at all cost and never pay cash to them cause you might never get it back. They gave me a fake contract and refused to refund me my 1000 deposit

And they send groups and bullies around to your flat
Please people stay away from these scammers and bullies for your own safety and security

I was renting a house with keystep propertie from December 2024 to December 2025 in Leeds city. They asked me to pay them £450 for a deposit in cash when I moved in to the house. They promised that they will refund the money when I moved out of the house. It has been over 1 month since I left the house and they still have not returned my money. If I call to ask for my money back they end the call when I ask to return my deposit

Rude staff and very unprofessional. I could not of been left more disappointed. This company kept vital information from me about a property that had many problems and issues which resulted in the property been worth nothing. Every solicitor I spoke to advised me to highly avoid. Pushy sales to get me to sign into a contract and took a £4000 up front payment from me which they are claiming is none refundable. Also threatened to charge me £500 per week if the deadline date ran over even if this was out of my control. I have pulled out from the sale and I am claiming my £4000 back through the small claims court. I would recommend to stay clear from this company. I had my doubts from the start but unfortunately did not listen to my gut instincts. Wish I’d of read the horrendous reviews first. It’s so sad that there are still dishonest greedy businesses like this running in this day of age. Wasting peoples hard earned money and most importantly their time !!
