Highly recommend Toby as a driving instructor!!!

Toby is always supportive and encouraging, which has really helped me build my confidence as a beginner. He’s also very patient and takes the time to explain driving techniques clearly. On top of that, he’s very knowledgeable about different test routes and explains them clearly whenever I have questions.

He also pointed out the areas I needed to improve and took me through the routes again and again to make sure I fully understood them.

I passed my driving test on my first attempt ~ Thanks again to Toby!!!!!

Highly Recommend Toby Li! Brilliant Driving Instructor! From my very first lesson right through to passing my test, he was absolutely brilliant.

Every lesson was detailed and well structured. Toby always took the time to explain exactly what I was doing well, what needed improving, and most importantly, why. Nothing ever felt rushed, he was always on time, never cancelled a lesson, and if I didn’t understand something, he’d explain it in a different way until it clicked.

One thing I particularly liked was the use of live maps on the iPad. Once we’d parked up, we could go back through routes, junctions, roundabouts and different situations visually. Being able to actually see where I’d gone wrong and talk through what I should do differently next time made a massive difference to my learning.

The follow-up after each lesson was also fantastic. I’d receive detailed messages covering what we’d worked on, the areas I needed to focus on, and what we’d be working towards next. It made the whole experience feel really organised and personalised, rather than just turning up, driving for a couple of hours and going home.

Massive thank you for everything and for getting me through my test!

Passed my driving test on 1st attempt today with only 3 minors, and I owe a massive thank you to my instructor, Toby.

After starting my journey learning manual, I decided to make the switch to automatic, and Toby made that transition incredibly smooth. He is patient, professional, and has a great way of breaking down complex junctions and maneuvers so they actually make sense. He built my confidence up from day one and ensured I was more than ready for the test.

I also want to give a huge shout-out to Gary, my previous instructor from the same school. Gary taught me during my early manual lessons, and the solid foundation he helped me build was invaluable when I moved over to automatic.

Super happy to pass my test this morning with Gary ! He was very patient with me when I was quite a nervous driver at times .I would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn how to drive !!

Outstanding support from total beginner to a confident driver.

I started as a total beginner with Toby, and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. He has a super friendly teaching style that immediately puts you at ease. Although I didn’t pass first time due to a personal error unrelated to my training, Toby was incredible afterward. He went out of his way to make himself available, ensuring that I had enough lessons to regain my confidence and feel completely comfortable behind the wheel again.

Beyond driving, King’s School of Motoring made the logistics so easy. Booking was seamless, and they were flexible with early and late slots to fit my busy schedule. I passed my second time feeling fully prepared. Highly recommend!
