We spent , a lovely afternoon here on a bright January day. The history of the house, we found very interesting. The grounds ,were gloriously relaxing, and we were able to get close to the deer. Due to the size of the place, it never feels crowded. The shop and book shop, we spent a while in, next to a warm log burner. The cafe was busy, but a good choice of food and beverages, and the staff were very friendly. We have visited before, and would do so again.

Fabulous grasses received, very well packaged, looking in excellent condition, the package was very secure and it was obvious that Knoll staff care about what comes out to you. the plants were given a quick water and left in the shade and look fantastic. I would definitely buy from Knoll again.

I’ve only ordered twice from Knoll Gardens and wish I’d known of them before. It’s the personal touch through and through.

I had a kind courtesy call from the nursery on the first occasion, just to check with me if I was okay with the grasses arriving cut back as it was a late autumn delivery. I’m so used to getting unsolicited sales calls from unknown numbers, that I was delighted to find out it was a good old-fashioned customer care phone call from a very warm-hearted lady - so rare now. It made my day and to add, the grasses are now steaming ahead of my other Japanese grasses.

Other online nurseries, take note! Many of us value genuine contact and accessibility like this greatly. It’s irreplaceable. Beautiful strong plants, and passion for what they do shines through. And the gallery is a real visual treat to linger over. I do hope to visit in person one day.

I ordered 12 grasses on 17th May but decided on 18th that I needed to double up. I called and left a message and a very helpful and friendly lady called me back and assisted me admirably and as a result I only had to pay one delivery charge. (It would have been easier for her to tell me I needed to reorder but no, she went out of her way to assist).

The grasses arrived altogether, in perfect condition, and have already brightened a shady area of my garden.

I know where I'll be going for future purchases.

My go-to supplier for ornamental grasses. They are not always as cheap as some other suppliers but I have bought from them multiple times over the last few years and the quality of the plants is always fantastic and well worth any slight price difference. The website has lots of information about the different plants and good photographs, both close-up and planted in beds. The plants arrive very carefully packaged and in great condition with lots of information about how they're grown. Knoll seem to take lots of care to use recycled and recyclable materials which is great to see.

Very happy with plants,service and delivery, couldn't fault. Will be ordering again in the spring.

I cannot praise Knoll Gardens enough. Fantastic selection of ornamental grasses, great website, easy ordering process, lovely healthy plants, lovely helpful people. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I only wish I had more room in my garden to add some more beautiful grasses.

Excellent service from Knoll Gardens . This is the second order I have placed and I am extremely pleased with the quality and condition of plants on arrival. I have ordered quite a lot of plants during Covid but would definitely say the plants from Knoll Gardens have arrived in the very best conditions as if I had bought from a local nursery. I was worried as I ordered ornamental grasses during the very hot weather but with the overnight delivery they were absolutely fine . I would recommended this garden centre for the quality of plants and delivery service.

Hordeum Jubatum is hard to find, and I ordered some 'plug plants' (not from Knoll Gardens) online. They came as specks of green in tea bags! So it was great to receive big luscious plants today, in excellent condition. I was clearly advised how long my order would take, and the plants arrived within 24 hours of despatch from Knoll Gardens. I swear they've grown a bit since I planted them this morning!

Very happy with the order. All well packed and even contained a hand-written personalised note. Great service.
