Great service with Lancaster
I'm very happy with Lancaster as my classic car insurer. The renewal quote was the same as last year and you can speak to the friendly team in the office to renew, pay and make any changes if you are not good with online systems. There seemed to be a recurring glitch on the portal when I checked my documents, but Leah in customer service just emailed me a copy to make sure I had it anyway. Very helpful & efficient and it's always reassuring to be able to speak to a real person if you need to. Thanks, a great service.

Policy information is submitted to the Motor Insurance Database (MID), however it can take up to 7 to 10 days for new policies or changes to be reflected on the database. We understand that this can be worrying if you're checking your vehicle details and they're not yet showing as insured.
If your policy has been active for more than 7 to 10 days and the vehicle is still not appearing on the MID, please contact us as soon as possible. We'll be happy to check that we hold the correct vehicle registration details on your policy and investigate this further for you.

Just great service except agreed valuation
Just great service. Nice helpful staff. And cover that I need. Agreed valuation is a bit slow though. You can get immediate insurance cover but the agreed valuation lapses. You need to be able to overlap agreed valuation so that there are no gaps. This is extremely important when insuring a classic car using classic car insurance. I have a gap of around 4-6 weeks where the car has no agreed valuation cover. No point having classic car insurance if it does not insure a classic car correctly. What is the point. Which is not very good. It’s just the way that it is.
