Make you book. WHY?
All the people with ear pieces checking your booking. No proper understanding of its location and then so many stairs! Without warning. Then it’s ordering of drinks and waiting so long. And It’s not very nice up there. Do not waste your time

Truly Awful Experience – Avoid London Bridge Rooftop

We booked London Bridge Rooftop for a large work celebration – a 60-person group, the biggest booking in the venue that day – and spent well over £1,000 on food and drinks. You’d expect at least half-decent service for that kind of booking. What we got was genuinely one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve had in London.

From the start, things were chaotic. Despite pre-ordering and pre-paying, we waited over an hour for drinks. Food arrived before the drinks – in 30-degree heat. When we asked what was going on, we were told bluntly that we had to “wait like everyone else.” Not exactly the kind of treatment you’d expect when you’re bringing serious money and a full house to a venue.

As this was happening, we found out that 10 of our colleagues weren’t even being allowed in because the rooftop had hit “capacity” – something no one mentioned during the booking process. Half our party was turned away at the door, despite us having a confirmed booking for 60. That group ended up going across the road to The Barrowboy & Banker, who were far more welcoming and professional.

Even once drinks finally arrived, we barely had two hours to enjoy them before being kicked out at 8pm – told our time was up because “new customers” were coming in. Except… there were no new customers. No queue. No one waiting. When I raised this with the manager, his response? “We don’t care, your booking is up.” Genuinely unbelievable.

And the atmosphere throughout? Miserable. The staff constantly shouted at us for standing or walking through certain areas – even for just a couple of minutes. It felt like being back in a 2020 lockdown venue, where you weren’t allowed to stand up or move around without being barked at. For a supposed rooftop party venue, it was joyless, uptight, and incredibly poorly managed.

In short: they happily took our money, then treated us like a nuisance. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else – there are countless better rooftops in London where you’ll be treated with basic respect.

Four of us had a fabulous evening at the London Bridge Rooftop Bar last night. Cocktails were delicious as were the burger and chips. Staff very efficient, extremely pleasant and fun. The DJ was excellent and the place has a really fun vibe. The view of the Shard is lovely. Great place to be as the sun sets.

Good atmosphere, service very slow. Mesirable waitress who escalated the lack of food service and couldn't offer a mutually agreeable solution to the slowness of the kitchen. Only 2 choices on the menu and servers didn't know what ingredients were. Nice but NOT worth the £45 per head
