So here’s the deal: We bought a car from these guys as a gift for our daughter, who was heading off to college. We made it clear that it was kind of urgent since she was leaving soon. Credit where credit’s due—paperwork was fast, the car shipped fast, everything seemed perfect. But then we got the car. First thing we noticed? The air conditioner wasn’t working. Then there’s this “stop-and-go” feature that, let’s just say, didn’t live up to the hype. Sometimes, the car wouldn’t even start the engine at intersections—it’d just sit there and grind gears. Yeah, not exactly what you want when you're handing over a gift.

Okay, fine. It’s under warranty, right? So we take it to the dealer. They fix the stop-and-go feature, but then we get hit with a reality check. The air conditioner? That’s not covered under warranty. $1,600 to fix it. Oh, and surprise—battery’s toast, brakes need work, tires are shot, filters are shot. Suddenly, we’re staring down a nearly $5,000 bill.

Here’s what it tells me: Either they sold the car without inspecting it, or they knew exactly what they were doing—offloading a lemon because they figured it’d be a hassle for us to deal with in Chicago. Either way, it’s shady. But the real kicker? I emailed them the service bill, outlining everything wrong with the car, asking if there was anything they could do to make it right. No response. Fine, I call. They acknowledge the email, tell me the manager will get back to me. Silence... I’m not sure why they expect their customers to chase them when they’re the ones violating the law. But don’t bank on any accountability from these guys. I even said, “I’ll take care of the brakes, battery, tires, etc.—just fix the air conditioner since it was due to the accident that you didn’t disclose either.” And yet… silence.

So here’s my advice: Stay far, far away from these guys. Especially if you’re buying the car as a gift. They’ll sell you a hunk of junk, then disappear when you ask for help. Zero decency. Nothing but a scam.
