Absolutely awful service! Had me in tears!

Absolutely awful service! Booked a taxi 2 weeks in advance for a round trip and 45 minute journey, apparently no problem. First taxi turned up 30 minutes late, no apology. Return taxi never showed up! We kept getting told it was dispatched & epiod show up in 5/10/15/20 minutes. We were completely stranded as all other taxi companies were full and I had left my 6 month old baby at home while I was supposed to enjoy just a couple of hours out. Instead we spent 2 hours being lied to that the taxi was on its way. So our 11:30pm taxi was still a no show at gone 01:30am. Such an awful experience that had me in tears at one point. I would not recommend this taxi service to anybody!

Never showed up

Never showed up. 3 hours of “it’s on the way” had to wait due to the fact no other taxi companies could collect from where we were.
Shocking service. Eventually got an Uber and not a single problem there. Won’t be “using local” with them again.

worst ever, dont rely on them, simple as that! if you do, enjoy chatting with the indian guy that will answer your call promising you whatever you want to hear, and then no taxi, so good luck with that!

Charlatans who don’t understand what a “priority” means!

The most dreadful service I have ever experienced. Booked a taxi for my son to get to school in time for an important exam (husband and I both too unwell to drive). It’s a 10 minute journey, the exam was at 9am and we booked for 8.30am. By 8.50am they did not turn up even though it was a “priority” booking. I was furious. After several attempts to call we finally got through to a lady to be told “the next available taxi” would be sent. How on Earth is that a priority booking? When challenged, “traffic” was used as an excuse. We explained that traffic is inevitably bad at 8.30am and surely that means the cab sets off in good time for the passenger. I was exasperated and I asked for a refund of our pre-payment which was agreed. Actually they are not meant to take that payment until the passenger is delivered. Silvertown, who we usually use but were not able to take our son at that time, did actually come to the rescue. My son’s school was very understanding and enabled him to have time added on.

To our horror Lynx then took payment this evening. Nothing will convince me otherwise that they are absolute charlatans!! NEVER use this firm.

Bad service

Advise not to use this company. Drivers are corrupt. They will take double payments from drunken passengers. Staff and management are in denial.

Booked taxi on phone for Macclesfield…

Booked taxi on phone for Macclesfield train station, driver picks me up and ask where and I say Macclesfield train station as I have a train to catch. Driver starts to take me to Wilmslow train station and I realise a bit later as I’m on my phone. I ask him why and he says I booked Wilmslow station on the app. I tell him I didn’t and I don’t have their app, I booked on the phone and told the lady Macclesfield. He insists I said Wilmslow. He turns around and takes me to Macclesfield where I miss my train. He also charged me £10 for a £5 journey. I will never use Lynx taxi again. I will use Silvertown where I have never had any problems.

If I could give them no stars I would. Absolutely shocking service. On two occasions they have not turned up as promised. After the first occasion i decided to give them an opportunity to redeem themselves. I booked a taxi 3 hours ahead of them for an important event. 3 minutes prior to its arrival time, I got a message that my driver was a few minutes away which included his name and taxi reg number. Almost simultaneously they debited my card for the journey, then they rang me to say ‘sorry we don’t have a cab for you and don’t know when we will!’ After arguing back and forth he put the phone down on me. I contacted Free Now and they had a car to me in less then 2 minutes. I work for a large organisation and when ever I’m asked to recommend a taxi company, it most certainly will be Free Now and I’ll tell them to avoid Lynx!

All round terrible

Used a few times this week out of necessity and every time the driver almost killed us with carelessness looking at his phone instead of the road and having to slam brakes on last minute. Tried to call and let them know but they just answer the phone then put you on mute until you hang up. Another time couldn’t get one at all, the app takes forever to connect you with a driver then immediately says driver had to cancel so we ended up having to walk 2.5 miles home. Won’t bother using again, a lot of more reliable options are available

ABUSIVE DRIVERS!!

ABUSIVE DRIVERS!!! They lock you in the car, demand more money than they’re supposed to, shout at you (even lone young girls), if you’re 2 minutes late they’ll get nasty, they can NEVER find where to go and expect you to tell them where to go as if you’re the taxi driver although, they never actually let you speak to give them proper directions. The WORST experience I’ve ever had with any taxi company and I use Wilmslow Taxis, Club Cars (which is amazing I highly recommend them) and Uber none of which I’ve had any kind of experience like I have done with Lynx Taxis.
The absolute worst service and nasty abusive predatory drivers. DO NOT USE!

Reliable

This is the most relaiable taxi service , I have find in Manchester .Using their app , Not that you can see who is coming to pick you up but can see his whole profile . I have liked that service a lot . BTW I have booked via webpage and got update how far driver is and how many minute he will take to pick me up from a very unpopular place in south Manchester where taxi service refused or just hanged up my call and it was Sunday afternoon when I contact them . So I will consider them really reliable service so far .

Avoid at all costs

Avoid!!!! I phoned them and was told I'd wait 10 minutes I waited 20 although I got a call from the driver saying he was another 15 minutes away! As a stranger to the area I ended up walking 4 miles to get my train. Good thing I'm a reasonably big guy who can look after himself. Thanks for nothing and when I rang back some Asian guy tried to make out he couldnt understand me.
AVOID!! I would have given no stars if I could. Dont trust these people to get you anywhere......

Abusive Drivers.

I had 20 pound cash and the taxi driver had a go at me for it, because HE had no change. Then I was 9 minutes late getting downstairs to him, as soon as I got in the taxi he was shouting abuse at me baring in mind I’m a 20 year old girl, and it’s 6am in the bleeding morning!! Then to top it all off, a different driver also gave me a bad attitude when it was literally, and I mean literally 2 MINUTES he was waiting!!! The worst, especially during a global pandemic so rude and ignorant, no regard for other people’s lives — just selfish as hell, all money orientated they give no hoots for the passengers whatsoever. Disgusting.

WARNING this company will take your money via the app on a no show

WARNING, STRONG WORD OF ADVICE DO NOT USE YOUR CARD WITH THIS COMPANY VIA THE APP AS THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WITH NO SHOW, IF YOU MUST USE THEM PLEASE PAY ONLY BY CASH ONLY AS THEY CANT TAKE YOUR MONEY,

The taxi I booked was on the app, the driver did not bother to drive to the pickup point, and there is no evidence that the driver turned up at the location at the address posted in the app, but set the meter and activated it to charge when me I was at Tesco East Didsbury because Tesco's has a designated area to pick people up, the pickup points this is for taxi services, Tesco's do not like cars picking people up at the main doors, the driver did not bother to drive to the pickup point and there are penalty charges where the company will take you money run the meter and cancel the job this in my book is steeling taking my money on the card, I did not authorize this payment, he should have been at the designated Pickup Point as your drivers would at Morrison's supermarket, so now it seems it is justified
for a taxi company to take your money and not have to pick you up, so instead I had no choice but to walk all the way home in the rain affecting my health as I have a back problem and am limited to how much I can do, I do not believe it is acceptable or professional for a taxi company to behave in this way.

I will never use this company again, if you cant trust them with the little jobs how can you trust them with anything else, I will give my money to another taxi company who deserves it.
