The Irony
The Irony.. it’s like their name is a complete joke. It’s the exact opposite of Made Well. I purchased around 7 t-shirts from this Company in august. Now, 3 months later I’ve only worn and washed the t-shirts 2-3 times each, and every single one of them has holes in it. Multiple small holes. Mostly right it the front. Worst quality I have ever encountered. I don’t know how this business survives.

Did you know that Madewell has a 1 hour policy. They couldn’t even help change the address on my order because it was slightly over 1 hour. So as they have a 1 hour policy I shall have a 1 order policy for life!

I ordered a dress and received a sweater. When I called to report the mistake, they immediately emailed me a return label, which I used to return the sweater to them. I assumed they would send me the dress. Nope. They waited three weeks to issue a refund and never sent the dress. I called again and was told I should have opened a new order. That didn't work either as the size I wanted was no longer available. I assumed they would make their mistake right, but no such luck.

Absolutely agree about the return policy and only giving stores cards. I'm having a problem also, since their return service took so long to get the return to them - something that's out of the customer's hands. This was followed by a confusing emails and phone calls that seem to settle things that are then overturned.. Also their orders also can take 2 weeks to arrive. In 60 years of shopping, I've never had an experience like the one with them - not with one other major store.

I am currently disputing a charge. Madewell is stating they didn't receive my return within the 30-day period and that is incorrect as I returned it via USPS (ugh) one week after receiving. They want to issue an e-gift card and I have never had a business not issue a credit for a return. Wow. Won't order from them again.

I have run into problems with this since I am sometimes away from my residence where I receive mail for a few weeks at a time. I have stopped shopping with Madewell at this point for this reason.

They even left the locked store sensor on! Ugghh!
I ordered an expensive purse/bag for a Christmas gift and didn't receive it until 15 days later, then the bag still had the locked store sensor flashing inside of it! Customer service was no help in removing the sensor, they asked me to return it, even though there was now no time as it was a Christmas gift. The purse came poorly packaged--no protection at all, just thrown in a cheap plastic shipping bag with no cushioning.
