We’ve recently purchase a new home with Martin Grant Homes and the experience has been great from the start to finish.

My wife and I were looking for our future home. Then we were contacted by MGH sales team about their new development in Surrey. We wanted to get a bit further than London, where we will live peacefully in the countryside. But also in a distance where we can commute (or visit) London easily. Then we found the perfect place with high quality built standards, peaceful house with an amazing garden and a lovely forest behind. We'd like to thank MGH for giving us our new home. Thank you for making the whole process easier from the first day until now.

We have been blown away by the service we have received from the team at Martin Grant- from Gareth in sales to the site manager Craig. Polite, helpful, attentive and made the whole experience much more enjoyable than we thought it would be!

This is our first experience of buying a property and we would definitely buy from Martin Grant again.

So Far So Good.

We've only been in our home for a short time and everything seems fine, just a few snagging issues that are currently being dealt with, and in all honesty Gareth Hammonds at the Ridings site Upper Caldecote has been excellent through the whole journey of buying and after care attention.

Never again! The house is like the house that Jack built!

5 years in and have had to have our sewers unblocked TWENTY times, yes TWENTY, along with our front gardens dug up to re-do the sewer systems outside which was causing the issue.

This month we’ve had a water bill for triple its normal amount, after having Anglian water out they confirmed the leak is in the house. After a further and costly visit from a plumber, 3 of the 4 toilets are leaking! The tank completely emptying and re-filling themselves on a continuous cycle and now the systems all need to be replaced, along with the the pulling apart of the housing as all the toilet systems are hidden and enclosed.

This follows having a leaking bath that poured water through the ceiling due to yet another faulty valve

Clearly no due care or attention AT ALL when someone is about the make one of the biggest (potentially) purchases of their life. AVOID AVOID AVOID i cannot believe the after sales service i receive, rude, ignorant, passive aggressive and always reactive not proactive. NEVER AGAIN!!

Initially, we were impressed with the quality of the show home we visited. As we unfortunately discovered the home we would move into would be of far less build quality.

Amazingly one issue was the bathroom flooring (we picked after seeing in the show home), having been installed incorrectly (tile effect Karndean which was installed without the faux grout lines), to which the builder protested “well we still installed you a floor!”.

I can assure you that if one were to purchase a new car in grey and it was delivered black, the dealer wouldn’t explain that “they still painted the car for you”.

Although initial snagging was fairly well attended to, a year on we are still fighting with the aftercare team to resolve some outstanding problems including damage to the kitchen counter that was done on installation, repaired poorly and to which MG have no record of said repair.

I am convinced that they’re business model is to build houses on the smallest budget possible with substandard craftsmanship, then relying upon the fact that people will either ignore the build quality issues, or simply give up after tirelessly chasing the aftercare operatives for months, even years.

Please avoid at all costs!
