I needed something to be picked up from an auction house and delivered quickly. Mr Hu who runs this branch was outstanding, Once the package had been picked up, he turned it round really quickly and it was delivered safely. A really great service and one that I can strongly recommend.

I’ve used MBE several times to help in collecting items from auction houses and then delivering. This review is about MBE Romford, and the subsequent “support” I’ve been given from the MBE head office.

Collected my item from the auction house and decided it was bigger than expected - despite the fact they quoted me in the first place! So the quote was doubled. After finally just giving in and paying their extortionate price, it arrived damaged. The manager - a particularly dismissive and rude person knew exactly which box it was and almost expected the damage when I spoke with him. No apology, no explanation or justification for the poor service. No humanity or interest in my frustration of the price change.

If you quote for a job, you complete the job. That’s the way the world works. Unfortunately, I paid double and got a damaged item. MBE seem think this is all acceptable and have defended Hu and this appalling service! I got a load of party-line/“this is our policy”/blah blah from the MBE head office. They’re launching a complaint with Parcelforce, even though it was clearly poorly packaged for the weight of the contents. The manager kindly told me “it will take a long time”.
