Continuing to call and email me about a debt that they seem to think i owe...rewind 2 years! A virgin media package i agreed to included an 02 sim card on contract for 12 months. I didnt want the sim card but could not get the virgin package without it so agreed since it was only £5 per month. 2 months into the contract i still hadnt recieved the sim card and 02 refused to send another but continued to bill me which i didnt pay. After numerous fights online and by phone 02 agreed to refund the bill payments and i cancelled...they then attempt to charge me a cancellation fee which i also refused to pay since they didnt provide me with the service they agreed they would. Sim card never sent, never activated and therefore never used. So now the outstanding payment has been passed to debt collection...good luck trying to get a penny from me! Keep emailing they will be ignored. Keep calling it goes right to spam! 🤣

Got email from some debt company in Manchester they say moorcroft have contacted in the past. Yet they have never sent a letter email or called me now they threaten me with ccj proceedings🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 They never ever contacted me. Then pass my private details onto another debt recovery scam. Yet neither have provided any prove of any loan they believe i have had. If i do owe money then it is down to the company or provider to contact me on such assumptions. But as I have never had a loan or any contracts is obvious these are fake assumptions.

I found myself in quite a difficult financial situation and they were acting on behalf of a client, but they were extremely supportive, understanding and helpful and I never felt pressured at any time.

Unfortunately, I found myself in a very difficult situation financially. I had to deal with a few debt collections agency and these guys made the process so smooth for me! 🥺 during the tough times, I found it difficult calling my creditors to sort out payment plans. Their online personal account system helped me sort out my finances without having to talk to anyone all the time.

Just recently, an insurance company with staff that had very limited understanding and information of their companies policies pushed my mums insurance to Moorcroft. When we got the letter I was distressed as I thought Tesco would have dealt with the issues with us directly after countless emails and calls with them.
I spoke with Melissa and ended up in tears trying to explain my current situation. She spoke so kindly and explained to me why she believed we owed the money. Her explanation made so much sense over all the nonsense and rubbish the Tesco insurance customer service agents had been telling us over the last few months.
She gave us the option to contact Tesco again if we still believed we did not owe what they had asked us to pay.
I am not one that usually leaves reviews without being asked to. But I really commend Melissa and her team for how they consider people’s mental states and treat people with care and compassion. Well done to you guys. Please keep your team as one that shows genuine concern for people. I understand some people can be difficult but please keep up the good work. You literally heal people in the process. Thank you.

Moorcroft were very helpful and sorted matters once they understood.

O2 asked them to chase an account that was not due. I explained my two visits to an 02 shop over 5 hours and their own team could not cancel the unused account. O2 would not allow Moorcroft to accept my instruction to offset the amount of another 02 account so Moorcroft responded quickly when I register my complaint. Have since sent me a cheque for £14!

Moorcrot acted in a completely irresponsible and unreasonable manner. They assumed, without any proper verification, that I still live at a property where I last resided over four years ago. Now they are trying to charge me for an outstanding water bill from Thames Water, and to make matters worse, they reported my name to credit agencies in the UK.

Even after I provided them with the contact details of the current property owner, they have ignored that information entirely and are still demanding that I somehow “prove” that I haven’t lived there in years. That is not only ridiculous, but also unnecessary and completely unfair.

It’s not my responsibility to prove where I don’t live — it’s their duty to properly verify such information before taking such serious and harmful actions like reporting someone to credit bureaus.

This company shows a total lack of professionalism, responsibility, and common sense.

Had set up a payment plan to be paid from my account on the first of the month, first payment went out on due date, then 8 days later had email from them saying that payment had not been recieved and to call or email them for payment to be taken

I found myself in debt and my account was handed to Moorcroft to recover. I was very worried about the prospect of a debt collector hounding me but this could not be further from the reality. Stepchange helped, but Moorcroft were very courteous and never put me under pressure once. I got regular statements by post, and I just kept paying what was agreed after my income and expenditure review. On an occasion where I did need to call them, their advisor was really polite and helpful, not in any way judgemental or looking down at me. Obviously they have a job to do and I can't ignore that I have a debt to repay, but they made a horrible personal situation a bit more bearable thank you.

At the end of 2023 I notice £400 had left my bank account and been paid to Moorcroft over the course of a few months. I have NO debt with Moorcroft, had not received a letter or any form of correspondence so immediately called them up. I was told on the phone they didn’t have my details on file and were unsure why I’d paid them money so they went away and investigated.

It turned out someone had used my bank details to pay their debt, apparently police were involved but I’d get my £400 back shortly. This was back in Feb 2024. The deadline for receiving my money kept getting pushed back, I was told there was a processing delay and I’d get it end of June last year. It’s now almost 2 years since someone used my bank account and I still don’t have my £400 back.

I even have a case open with the financial ombudsman who are trying to get my money back for me but they have struggled to get in contact with Moorcroft, or get any reply from them.

The company is really excessive keep calling everyday. There’s no need! Give customers a chance to respond before harassing them!
The response from the company stated they do not feel my comment accurately reflect the service I have been provided but they failed to mention how they have come to that conclusion….
